  1. ^ I call them zip wires but I guess a zip line is the same thing!
  2. I searched and could not find a thread like this, which is a shame, because long wires spread across a void should get more love than they do. So, I created this thread to show off all things zip wire related. Please use this for news, pictures and stories from zip wires!
  3. I have seen lodes of trains rolling around on the web cam. Is the park open?
  4. Yes, the theming is so well done throughout the whole park. I would say it is up there with Europa-Park, but that is just a different kind of theming. EP has more 'relaxed' theming, while PA is more 'active', if that makes any sense. ^ That excited me. You just named my three top coasters, and I look forward to riding something to beat Ex G! By the way, with express pass, is one day enough to do PAV and FW? Then I hope you will be lucky this summer! Shambhala, Taron, Helix, GeForce and Kärnan are my favourite coasters, and Shambhala is in my opinion clearly the best. Don't get me wrong, it are all fantastic rides, and everyone will rank them differently. With Express, you will be able to ride all the big rides at both PA en FL. But I don't think that one day is enough to really experience the entire park. I mean, there is so much more to see than just the coasters. The shows in PortAventura are awesome! I would say, you'll need at least 2-3 days. I was at the park for 3 days and was not able to cover everything. ^ I missed out on the shows at Phatasialand, and was a little annoyed, but not much. I go mainly for the rides, but do like to experience the park itself, which is why I had two days at Phantasialand, and it was well worth it to see all the detail and get more rides in despite it being busy. It is one day or nothing, and from your report, the rides look good enough on their own!
  5. I really need to get on Shammy B. Hopefully I will this summer, if I am lucky. ^ That excited me. You just named my three top coasters, and I look forward to riding something to beat Ex G! By the way, with express pass, is one day enough to do PAV and FW?
  6. I would deffinately want to buy it, more as a merchandise thing though. The videos themselves can be found on you tube so easily these days on your channel, as well as 360 videos, that there is little need. Especially now with smart TV's, where you can watch the 4K videos on the TV! I would buy it, but I probably would not watch it much. I know that for many who are no so much into rollercoasters and like TPR, they would prefer to get the free videos off You Tube. Back 8 years ago, the humble DVD was the only way of getting high quality videos across to people, so even less enthusiastic people would buy them to watch your videos. It would be interesting to release it, and see if it takes off. If I was you, in your situation, I would not make another one, but I would still want one to come out, and would try to buy one. Hope that makes sense.
  7. ^ Bit late mate. This is what we have been talking about for the last few pages. So, in some words, it is actually Sorry, but yeah, already posted.
  8. A full area re-theme would have to go a long way. They would have to re-theme their relatively new pirate water splash battle ride, and a host of other flat rides. Not impossible, but I feel they will make this an area of its own or add it to a different existing area. It may look odd and out of place though. Even the barrels would have to be re themed. This is modern Merlin, and the best thing they could do, is leave it how it is.
  9. I have to say, the hashtag they gave to this ride was pure gold. #RMCraptor! Craptor! I hope this becomes an ironic joke.
  10. ^ Generally 1.95m. I have seen 1.96m on Dragons Fury
  11. Has there anywhere been a terror attack on a theme park yet?
  12. The wicker man confirmed . It does kind of look like a person though.
  13. I have a crazy idea, Vekoma starts pumping out some great rides. Only it is no longer a crazy idea, it is the truth!
  14. I saw that picture, and my reaction was. Oh my God...That is actually going to be a big ride! Yay. That area needs a new big coaster, hopefully another one in Dreamworld soon too. Also, loving the pink.
  15. I have no clue what will go on that side, but a huge glass structure with a waterfall flowing down the side would be cool.
  16. ^ whoa! Why can't he have his opinion on relevant things? You have no right to call him an a$$ or any other member of this club. We all share different opinions but we all share the same love of rides. Chill and let the B man be.
  17. This may sound stupid, but does the new hulk count as a new coaster cred, as it is essentially re built? Is is like the Ship of Theseus all over again.
  18. Thanks for sharing. Really good photos of a querky park. I have always been interested in this park, and thanks for reviews of the rides. Cobra looks so sketchy Even with great photos that you took, it still looks like a ghetto ride.
  19. No. Brutal. I read that and wondered what your response would be.
  20. ^ Really nice trip report, and I am so glad to see them back again. Always good reads, especially when they are places I have never heard of before, so thanks for taking time out and sharing your fun with us. I look forward to more.
  21. It's an unloading platform that has spoooooooky mystical themeing. Use your head, man. Loooooooool That was what is in the shed.
  22. ^ whoa. Why am I not allowed an opinion and to be critical over things? I really like thins ride, but it is not perfect. My coaster count is not more than 65, and I know there is so much more to see. I would put it up there for best coaster in Europe, but not the world.
  23. ^ Wow, sounds like a great day. Shame about KK having a long queue, but apart from that, it sounded like a great day. Do you think it was due to SF actually looking after their rides?
  24. ^ I am quite small and skinny, so maybe the restraints were different on me. It was either Expedition GeForce or Sky scream or both, but my thighs were a little brown in the afternoon and tender. I was not the only one who thought the lap bar hurt, as some people I spoke to at Phantasialand said it was one of their worst ever coasters, and hurt lodes. My first ride was not great as described, but all the other rides were excellent. It just got better and better, so much that pain did not matter after the third ride. Another video taken at the park, this time from Sky Fly:
  25. Not sure if anyone cares, but I have uploaded another 360 video onto the youtube channel, this time of the great Expedition GeForce:
