  1. I think you could put it this way... SFMM definitely didn't insist on the old track removal to enhance aesthetics
  2. Yeah, I'm indifferent about the orange. I think the blue is a good choice though, and their decision to paint the rails the same color. The supports I think would've look great as the previous purple (but with new paint)
  3. Magic Moments Theater is now going to be Gearworks Theater. Don't think that was announced previously. Sadly, looks like Scream! will remain a parking lot coaster :/
  4. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Alan Shilke said at IAAPA (current one) that S&S was building this coaster, and he was involved in the design. It's in the Coasterforce interview w/him. (obviously something must've changed)
  5. Did we ever find out 100% what happened? :/
  6. Same as Scream at SFMM. Those metal plates move under/side before the train dispatches from the station.
  7. If I remember right, Schilke said topper track allows for urethane or steel wheels, and the i-box is only urethane (or the other way around)
  8. People in the states have their sticks too far up their a** to ever have something like this (minus LV)
  9. It's a safe bet to assume there will be no one at the park tomorrow (or anywhere, LOL) during the Super Bowl right?
  10. Did you ever find out what time the snack hours start and end for the new dining pass? Google didn't answer that for me.
  11. mpmbee: that's the video The other two parts didn't have anything major in them, so I didn't mention it unless you want to see the trains, etc. But those have been thoroughly discussed in here
  12. The rails are filled. There's a youtube video (about 30 minutes long) of them answering A LOT of questions regarding the ride construction. The park president answered this very question. They also talked about tweaks to the bridge/entrance plaza design, cost of each train, speed of the train at the end of the ride (55MPH), testing procedure, etc. Really informative video, highly recommend it
  13. I was just sitting here after an atrociously long day at SFMM and thought... why not a giga winged coaster, just a load of airtime hills, no inversions. Other than land/money, would that be possible? Are wingriders (the trains) designed for high speed like that? I think that would be an awesome replacement for Viper one day LOL
  14. X2 and Lex were down. Ninja and Batman single trains. Goliath the line was near/out the front. Tatsu used both platforms but one train per side only. Everything had a long line :/ I would say roughly an hour for everything, with Goliath being closer to 90m.
  15. You do know the poster was asking about the snack times right? Not what snacks are being offered
  16. I just asked an employee at Loaded Dogs, supposedly it's until 7:30pm (earlier if park closes earlier), basically, at the end of dinner hours
  17. Did any rides close today (due to winds)?
  18. Are the dining pass hours still the same? Is Lunch is from opening until 3pm, and you have to wait at least 30 minutes until you can get dinner (hours from 4pm - 9pm/close)?
  19. Fury 325, Twisted Colossus, Wicked Cyclone, Thunderbird for 2015!
  20. Ahhh that's right! Has SFMM released the BAF days for 2015, or the perks for pass holders?
  21. Does anyone know if the park was busy yesterday/Sunday, and what (if any, you know there was!) rides were closed? Heading there next Sunday and hoping to use yesterday as a gauge for crowdedness.
  22. It's still the best flyer in the world But yeah, best ride goes to a few others, including (for me) X2.
  23. Boomerang @ Knott's Berry Farm... followed by every loopin rollercoaster I see
