Thanks for the update, looks like tomorrow is going to be very windy (more than yesterday/Sunday)... so I think I will change plans and go for Wednesday instead of Tuesday. That would really suck if all the rides stayed open and the park ended up being empty I'm a little surprised X2 kept chugging along under the stronger winds. Curious to hear a report for tomorrow...

18 Year Old Killed on Inferno at Terra MÃtica
ioio replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Curious as well if there was any word that came out about what happened to the restraint -
Actually, speaking of their parking lot... does anyone have these 3 major complaints about the lot as well...? [1] the bus queue should have a shade [2] the lanes are very narrow in the parking lot, and if you happen to drive through to the first section and can't find a space, you can't easily turn back around without driving towards Hurricane Harbor (or later), and then making a U-turn [3] most annoyingly, at night, there are not enough lights in the parking lot and it becomes quite dark

Sunday Review: - the X2 crew was shockingly dispatching pretty quick with two trains (usually one train was leaving right as the other one was arriving) ... finally got a chance to ride in the first row ... WOW, even better!!! - Tatsu was also dispatching relatively quick off two trains! rode first row here as well, so good - Apocalypse is back to running one train, one hour line around 5:15pm (skipped it) - Green Lantern, Riddler's, Batman = were all of these down? I didn't see a single train run on them - the DC Universe holiday lights.... half of the lights in the canopy didn't even work!!! HUGE bummer! - Scream broke down around 5:30pm, when I got to my car in the lot around 6:30pm it was back up! - that Christmas Tree fountain = uhhh, I hope they come up with something better next year Overall, the holiday in the park was good, but it wasn't mind blowing (wasn't expecting that, but I did hope) ... the dead lights in DC Universe really made that whole light-syncing show a bust, good thing I'm coming back one more time :/. The whole area by Tatsu (winter wonderland) was great!!!!! If only the entire park was like this

Is there a difference that I'm not catching between TC's "top gun stall" and the "zero-g stall" that's currently on Goliath SFGA? They seem like the same thing? I guess one difference I see is the zero-g stall on Goliath SFGA doesn't completely flip the riders around, but rolls the riders out of the inversion back in the same direction in came in from (if that makes sense)?

^ AGREED! That Yolo brake on the downside of that top hat completely kills that element for me, and is the only non-smooth part of that ride (it's a pretty hard brake!) Goliath: same here, that mid-course brake right before the helix, SIGHHHHH, it's almost to a complete 100% standstill! It didn't do that when the ride first opened. Superman: same here, it's all about that acceleration... I assume same thing can be said about TTD and KK. Viper: ehhh, too bumpy X2: I'm one of the people that don't find X2 to be harsh at all, especially considering all of what it's doing. And that face-down drop with the mini-pip at the top make this pretty much perfect. Compared to Dinocanda/Eejanaika, I wish X2 had that full-twist+corkscrew element in place of where the backflip is after the inner raven turn. But given X2 was the first of it's type way before the latter two, I'd give it a pass

I guess the word choice could've been better, I personally didn't mean no other drop in the park was as big (length), I was thinking more along the lines of 'significant'. To me, the TC drop is significant in that the drop is steep (finally!), but the length is short. Goliath has a lengthy drop, but the angle is not steep. Riddlers, YOLO, Scream, Viper's drops are all nice, but nothing special about them. X2 is amazing, period, but different. Personally, I'd like a nice steep AND lengthy drop, a la, a giga coaster Something we completely don't even have on the west coast :/ I'm still super excited to ride TC (my first RMC), but having a bigger drop wouldn't have hurt is all I'm saying
