When SFMM did filming in the past for their new rides (I assume for TV or video placements in the SF chain)... how did that work once on site? Do they pair you up with other riders? Do you sit with any friend you may have came with? How many cycles do you typically go on? How long are you filming for? Food provided? Etc

If you ask SFMM, west = world With that said, SFMM as a whole is actually not bad in terms of cleanliness. It's relatively rare that I feel the park is dirty. Lots of trees for the most part, lots of seating all over. The rides for the most part are also clean/safe looking.... except for the leg restraints on Tatsu, the rest of the restraints on the rides are pretty good. The part that they lack in is the operations of the park... frequent ride closures, random ride closures, some rides worse than others (X2, Superman are particularly finicky). If you haven't been, it's worth a trek for sure!

The issue isn't about the times, it's about some Gold Pass members not receiving an email about the preview dates, but for the ERTs.

The only thing I got was the following week's ERTs.... are you a gold pass holder? actually, i now have the membership, which has all the gold stuff. so hopefully it's the same. but to answer your question, yes, it came in the email this morning for pass holders. i guess they send out different emails to gold and non gold. That's odd, I'm also a gold pass member... hmmmmmmm!

i'd say probably not bad. i think the week of most graduations is good, too, i believe. maybe someone can correct me. but, i'll probably be finding out for sure the same time you do, may 26th. lol I'm wondering this as well... or that Wednesday. Excluding any pass holder preview night they may have for TC, I plan to go there again mid-week after opening weekend to ride it with less crowds

How does Superman Ultimate Flight accommodate the bottle thing? Curious. I'd agree there, they shouldn't charge people extra to store their bottles. I would go so far and say their bags as well That $1 mandatory locker thing on X2 is a bit too price-gougey to me But it is something they need to do to get the line moving faster and dispatch quickly.

I really hope SFMM can dispatch quick enough so the train (that's about to enter into its green loop around the track) doesn't have to sit at the MCBR and wait. That would really put a damper on the ride if you did your first lap, and then stopped at the MCBR for too long waiting for the 'blue' side train to come out to the lift. Wit that said, the trains from California Coaster Kings video is just killing it through the track! And that's with an empty train!!!!!

They are painting all the support beams white (except for the section of the cross beam that goes under the track).

there's gonna be a cirque-esque show in there when the district opens.

I never thought anything would top X2 for me (my #1 steel coaster), but TC or WC looks to be possible close contenders (for the first time ever)...!

Fortunately, as long as RMC stays in business, it looks like we won't get the chance to be jaded

At least we now know it's "Late May" ... which pretty much pinpoints a Memorial Day weekend opening. Hopefully they'll announce more info for those on the construction tour tomorrow. I wonder if they still plan to have a 4th train? And if they're really going to charge season pass holders for ERT...

Apparently they did 2 cycles of TC today. Mysteriously, no photo or video of it on the track (minus the lift hill) exists. That means there was a 6-8 minutes timeframe that someone could've snapped something

I really hope that is just that, a rumor.....the green train was going to be the best looking out of the 4, if they are going to omit one, it should've been the orange train, orange is already way overused in this park. If they go with 3 trains, then they'll never duel since you know one will always be out for maintenance.

I think we can pretty much give all the credit to RMC on this one

An aerial video (a la SFNE's test run of Wicked Cyclone) would've been great to see! Hopefully they'll run some test runs for the people at the construction tour tomorrow... so we can get some good video footage

EXACTLY!!! I think their (relatively minimal) efforts would be greatly rewarded by engaging with their fans online. Construction interviews, tidbits from Magic Mountain employees, backstage tours during the weekdays during off-season, etc.
