Jerry Whitman- Manager Cedar Valley Hello, I'm proud to announce that after 3 years of planning and construction, Cedar Valley is finally open to the public. The park, located in Cook County, Minnesota, is a wonderful place for families who want to enjoy nature and the cool breeze of Canadian air, yet still get an adrenaline rush. Now, on to photos! Breeze is a great ride the entire family can enjoy together. The northern wind feels wonderful. Discord is the most disorienting ride I have ever been on. This is for the thrill-seeker of the family Avalanche is the star of the park. This wonderful out-and-back woodie will definitely make you fly out of your seat! This drop is ridiculous. It is filled with airtime! Avalanche features the first QUADRUPLE-Down! This ride truly was designed with airtime in mind. Cedar Valley also features a coaster for those aren't ready for Avalanche, Ladybug Run. Ladybug Run was very popular today, the line extended out of the queue! Avalanche is a breathtaking coaster, on and off the ride! If you get hungry, there is a giant food court with lots of benches and shade to make your meal as enjoyable as possible. It was very busy today, everything was running at full capacity. Even though Avalanche was running full trains, the line still extended beyond the queue. Whirler is another ride that the whole family can enjoy together. It was a really successful opening day, I will leave you with an aerial photo of the park. Any feedback is welcomed and appreciated. I am not an expert RCT3 builder so I would enjoy suggestions as to how I could make this park better.

CP will get number one in the golden tickets. Of course Cedar Point will get the golden ticket, Amusement Today loves Cedar Point. That's how Magnum XL-200 ranked higher than Intimidator 305. -

I think we will be getting something thrilling in 2016-2017, but for the people that think we are getting the world's tallest invert because Banshee didn't, don't get your hopes up. -

^ Look at that, Top Thrill Dragster's cable is attacking all the B&Ms. Raptor & Gatekeepr yesterday, Mantis today, it has to be stopped! -
I know it used to have one which I heard was a test for possibly using it elsewhere, but I think at some point that test concluded. Evidently they decided not to move forward because I haven't seen any others. Delirium was using its single rider line last month. The park uses the single rider line very oddly though. They let two single riders on each cycle regardless of the standby line or the number of seats available. That's strange, I thought that the purpose of the single rider line was to fill ALL the seats.

I really know nothing about Haunt except that it shuts down Excalibur and Bumper Cars, but maybe the new Haunt tent is the new area for Carnevil. -

About the Mean Streak webcam thing, I think that Tony Clark wants us to think it has something to do with Mean Streak. Yesterday he posted on Twitter " Just FYI, the webcam is focused on Mean Streak". The webcam has been focused on Mean Streak many times without him mentioning it, so what makes this one special? I doubt that Mean Streak has anything to do with 2015 because he pointed it out so clearly. For 2015, I would look anywhere but mean streak. -

Here's a crazy idea, maybe Six Flags will build a ride and not cover it with advertisements! -

I think that Ripcord is more popular for the people watching it than actually riding it. Whenever it raises people to the top, everyone watches it, and I mean everyone. I think it is out of peoples reach to pay $25 to swing back and forth a couple times. It would be nice if they took it out, and if they did there would be no more up-charge attractions. That might mean a loss of revenue for VF, but they could make it up when they add their new coaster in 2016 or 2017. -

I haven't been on a windseeker but I think of them as a family ride. It looks like something that the Thrill seekers would like because of the height, and for the kids not yet ready to do power tower but still want to get the amazing views. I have heard that the hieght restriction doesn't apply for the entire park, so if they built one over by route 76 they could market it as the tallest ride in Minnesota. Maybe it could get to the 290 ft range. -

I believe that they modified the turn because too many people were blacking out on it. I think that Intamin went a little overboard on the intensity there. -

Valleyfair did not open up with Flyers in the park but they would be a perfect fit up in the Route 76 area. With CF adding these at CP, MiA and Knott's over the last 2 years it is a very real possibility in the next couple years. VF can always use more flat rides of all types. I found this photo on Valleyfair's facebook page. It was from 1978, but wasn't the idea of the area to bring you into Valleyfair's past? -

Maybe VF could add flyers near the Route 76 area. If next year is waterpark (which I am sure it is), it would give the people that like to be dry something new. I think that VF opened with flyers, and if that is the case it would fit in perfectly to the theme of Route 76. I guess it depends on how much money Cedar Fair is going to put into the park. -

Is there anywhere that you can take a picture of the construction? The only place I know to see it is High Roller's lift hill, where cameras aren't allowed. If anyone finds a spot could you post a picture? -

^^^^ I forgot that Magnum originally ran with pads. Do the pads make much of a difference because I believe Magnum still hits the same speed as when it opened, and there aren't trims on the first hill. maybe the wheels speed it up a lot on the 3rd hill, which looks like the upstop wheels are in use because of strong airtime. Still, CF likes trims.
