This is true. Except for that day I went last August when Maverick was sending partially empty trains all day. I couldn't believe it. Best day I've ever had at CP.

I'm guessing this was the case for me. My last two trips were in February and September of last year and I rode it once each time. Both times were pretty bad when in the past it was a smooth ride. So it's possible that I happened to be on a train with bad wheels or in a bad seat or something. Regardless, it's just not one of the better coasters in the park even on a good day so I don't have much interest to ride anymore, especially with TC next door.

Magnum's third train is now on the track. Maybe it was a few days ago, I hadn't checked the webcam since Thursday or Friday.

Agreed. And you probably don't find it rough because it isn't. When's the last time you made it out this way and rode it? I ask because usually I agree with you on these things but I've found Scream to be pretty rough on my last two visits over then past 14 months when I never thought it was rough in the past.

The length is actually my lone complaint about Storm Runner (it's only 400 feet longer than Xcelerator). By the time I realized how much more fun it was than I was expecting, we hit the brakes. If it was longer I would have liked it more than Skyrush, I think. But no matter what, they're both a ton of fun and this park is fantastic, you'll have a great time there. Unfortunately I only got to ride three of the coasters because I was there with my kids, so I'm hoping to plan a trip back out there by myself in the next couple years.

I used to enjoy Scream when it was smooth, even as recent as 2014. But on my last couple trips it has been surprisingly pretty brutal and I don't really care to ride it on future trips.

One of my favorite memories from Kings Island was a couple years ago when I ended up on Adventure Express sitting next to a kid who was probably 4 or 5 years old, his presumed mom was with another presumed sibling in front of us. He had clearly been on it before and was so excited for the ride and was going crazy the entire time, including pretending to beat drums like the statues with the biggest grin I've seen on such a small kid.

Maybe it's just me but that sign looks more like a billboard than a ride entrance.

I've ridden four B&M standups and Riddler's is the only one I've ever actually enjoyed (others were Green Lantern, Mantis, and Vortex at CGA). Debating whether or not I even want to try Vortex at Carowinds when I visit in June. I've never been there before and I'm only there for one day so with Fury and Afterburn in the same park, I struggle to find a reason to even step on Vortex...

My brother and I will be traveling there from Utah in June, but Dollywood isn't the only park we're going to.

This seems to be an unpopular opinion but I completely agree with you. It's barely even worth the walk up the hill for me.

My comment wasn't necessarily directed at you, or anyone in particular. It was just something that seemed to continue to come up as we get closer to opening day. It will be interesting to see what they do throughout the season. I'm guessing coasterbill is right and they'll just leave the train gates down and leave it at that, at least for a while. And I appreciate that! I was genuinely curious to hear some other thoughts and the discussion is a nice departure from boats and complaining about not being able to post pictures.

I was thinking the same thing! This is an empty train in March and it's looking great. Very much looking forward to riding this in June.

I get what you're saying here, but did they really work so hard though? Unless I'm mistaken, all they did was post a blog asking people to keep out and likely contact a few clubs asking them to keep photos off their sites. Neither of these things seem like that big of a task and could be done only once and rather quickly.

I think the fact that the park has mostly stopped teasing the shed points to it being a huge disappointment for those who are expecting anything out of it. This seems likely:

I don't understand why people seem to think the park needs to acknowledge or announce anything when they open in May. I expect them to not give any real announcement until sometime in August or September when they're making a push for season pass renewals. So people will go in the park and take pictures and ask questions. So what? Not trying to be rude here, I'm genuinely curious why this seems to be a need for the park in some people's minds. Seems more like wishful thinking to me.

The least memorable part only because the rest of the ride is so fantastic. I think it's still pretty dang fun. If this is anything like that but with a much bigger drop, it'll be great. But yeah then you'll forget about it quickly with those two ridiculous hills that follow.

Yeah I've been curious today why they'd take all the cams offline. I was watching the Mystic Timbers cam yesterday getting overly excited for no good reason about the guys walking the lift hill and the first turn and hill over the lift.
