Pretty sure NJ Transit has a bus from Port Authority to the park, but I don't know specifics. That's really the only way to the park from NYC, unless you're willing to rent a car.

Perhaps they don't have enough people to adequately staff the place and are using this as an out? Because up here in NY we got similar snowfall totals, and like you said, it's melting pretty rapidly.

Park just announced opening day has been pushed back to March 30, due to the most recent Nor'Easter.

Depends on how he carries the weight I suppose. However, the B&M clamshell restraints are supposed to be some of the most forgiving in the industry. If your cousin couldn't make it on those two rides, he might not make it on Skyrush either.

You can say that again. Between the closure of the skyride, botching the re-tracking of Wildcat, and letting Boulder Dash get rough and crashing its trains into each other, they had a really tough 2017.

Damn I can't believe they scrapped the free soda. That was one of the best parts of visiting the park.

At least it's still free for DVC Members. Wonder when they'll start charging resort guests for parking at the parks.

I have their Coaster ABC's poster, which was a limited run of 50 print's. It is of very high quality, and the guys who run the site are very friendly and helpful. They do great work.

Haven't heard anything about that since the initial rumour came out last summer. My guess is that nothing has changed, unless they drop the news closer to opening day.

My only gripe about this decision is the name they chose. You're telling me not one person in their creative department could think of something better than "Racer 75"? When I finally visit KD this summer, all I expect is a middle of the pack woodie, regardless of name.

I was bummed to miss Exterminator on my trip to Kennywood last summer. By the time I made it back there, it was late in the day and the line was moving at a glacial pace. Naturally we bailed and rode Phantom again. I have been on it's sister, Primeval Whirl, but it would have been nice to experience it indoors, with what sounds like is pretty cool theming. But it's always good to have an excuse to get back out to West Mifflin.

Could have sworn I read somewhere that opening day was March 24th. Odd that the first day of the season is a Sunday, and a holiday at that.

I've had very slow rides El Toro in the early and late season during the rain that were very disappointing. Conversely, I've had boosted rides during the summer heat that made me believe in a higher power.

I know that sounds insane, but you have to believe me lol. It helped that I was leaning forward. But to be fair, I was bundled up pretty well so perhaps the layers of clothing absorbed all the shock.

All jokes aside, GL was actually running very smoothly yesterday. It's still a garbage ride, but there was no headbanging to speak of.
