Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctury
Genx24 replied to Henry M's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is quite possibly the greatest photo TR I've ever seen. I can't believe I didn't see this post before today. -
^ I can see Blackbeard being re-themed, but I don't think they'd go full Gotham City. Unless they made everything from Joker all the way to B:TR and Nitro part of Gotham as well, in which case, that would be a huge section. And it still wouldn't be cohesive, because no iteration of Gotham City I've seen has ever had a giant skull in the middle of it.

When most people post mentioning a change in the park, they'll provide a source. Even if it's made-up, saying "oh the dippins dots guy told me", or "a friend of a friend" is giving a source. That particular poster gave nothing. Just a random post with a hashtag. That's why I asked. I still don't understand why this is such a big deal to you, but I digress. Let's take the discussion back to the park.

How does someone provide a source for something that has not been formally announced? He probably heard it at an employee event or from an employee. Why don't you just assume what he said is true and if it turns out it's not then who cares and you'll know he's not credible. If we assumed everything people say on this site is true then we are seriously, seriously screwed. Is this instance really that big of a deal? It's a re-theming of a children's ride. I doubt there are many people actively spreading untrue rumours as minor as that. Why are you getting so worked up over me asking someone a question?

If any of the actual park employees who regularly post here want to lend credence to what he said then I'll believe it.

It's mostly about height. I've ridden GL so many different ways based off tricks mentioned on this site, and nothing changed the fact that I was getting the snot kicked out of me. It's because I'm only 5'7, so no matter what I do, my head isn't getting above the restraints. Although I will say, even though I only rode it once, my ride on Riddler was infinitely more enjoyable than any of my dozens of rides on GL, so layout might also play a factor.

What is your next park?

^ I remember seeing that when I visited in August. I thought it was a clever way to emphasise that no loose article is safe from the beast that is Skyrush. -
Agreed, Holiday in the Park gave me a new appreciation for it. It's not Manta or Tatsu but it's a ton of fun. My thoughts exactly. My appreciation for B&M flyers has grown immensely over the past year. S:UF went from a hard pass to an occasional spin for me. Definitely agree that its nowhere near as good as Tatsu and Manta as well. Here's the thing, it's still pretty smooth. My biggest complaint is the constant head-banging throughout the course. Most likely because I'm not very tall so my head is firmly between the restraints, and not above it. It's just a model that is very outdated, and it replaced a legendary ride that once saved the park from closing.

Why did Manning go, and not Von Miller? Miller was MVP.

Boy did I whiff on my prediction. Denver's defense was incredible, and Carolina looked like they let the moment get the best of them.

Any predictions for today? I have Carolina rolling Denver, 34-14.
