^ Yea, I totally blanked out and forgot they still need approval. Well, I never thought this solar farm would go through anyway. And now with both the town and the park digging their heels in, it seems like there's no resolution in sight. I will say this though. That the park refuses to use the parking lot or some of their already cleared land says only one thing to me: expansion is on the horizon.

I love that colour scheme. Orange and purple work well together, IMO. Excited to finally get a ride on one of these models. I'm particularly curious as to how a non-inverted loop feels. I've not had the pleasure of experiencing one yet. -
Can confirm. First ride front row is the nuts. One of the most Bat-Sh*t crazy experiences I've ever had on a coaster. Jumping in to echo these posts. Climbing up the spike before you begin the circuit backwards in the front row is probably the most terrifying, oh s#!t moments I ever had on a coaster as well.

It isn't $70 for 5 rides. It's unlimited rides on all attractions plus 5 rides on any of their "extreme thrill" rides, which both Cyclone and Thunderbolt fall under. But I agree that that is a very steep price to pay for a park such as Luna. In other news, I just bought mine via Groupon, so thank you for the heads up, coneyislandchris.

^ There's still a radio commercial from time to time during the season, but that's about it. And you're right about the travel. For people staying or living in the city, why hike up to Westchester County when you can just trek on over to Brooklyn for a better amusement park? Shame the County didn't select the operators of Coney for the Playland contract. They could have done package deals for the two parks. -

I don't know the particulars, but I doubt Playland gets any business from NYC tourism. Sure, it's in better shape then Conneaut Lake, but it's still a dingy, run-down place that lost all sense of charm it may have once possessed. Perhaps the new ownership can turn it around, because I am not rooting for Playland to close. But if it maintains its current reputation and this Legoland comes to pass, then I can't see it lasting much longer. -

^ Have you been to Playland recently? At this point I'd say it would be better off closing. As far as this Legoland business is concerned, I'll believe it when it actually opens. -

^ I was just there in July and let me say, the park needs a lot of help in a lot of different areas before they should even consider adding new attractions. -

Excited to have one of these rides within day trip distance. I'm glad I'll be able get on one of these models this summer. -

Best Coaster Layout

A personal favourite for me is the Coney Island Cyclone. Often imitated, never duplicated. Also, Talon, Nitro, Boulder Dash, El Toro, and Manta. -
Yes, it is curious they tore down the station now after leaving it vacant for almost nine years. But to me it signifies that the park has something big up their sleeve. I don't think they would put Justice League in that spot because I can't see them spending the money on a new show building, especially with the old Simulator building still standing empty as well. My gut says it has to be a coaster. If it were a small addition, they could have waited to tear the station down. But the fact that they brought it down now screams 'BIG', imo. Regardless of what it is, I have to echo what some others have said; it's going to be great having Old Country revitalized in the coming years.
