  1. Wasn't April Fools yesterday? You really don't know how to make a list?
  2. ^ Schedule was made before last year's playoffs, but I think it's great having a World Series re-match on Opening Day. LETS GO METS!
  3. Awesome! Wonder if this will include dedicated pedestrian pathways as well. I hate the way it's set up currently, with foot traffic having to walk in front of vehicle traffic.
  4. I know it's April 1, but why the automatic assumption that it's a joke? Could just be a coincidence.
  5. If this is true, it's terrible news. I'm sure the ride will still be amazing, but half the fun is your torso just getting thrown around at will.
  6. ^ I'm with you brother. It's an exceptional ride, shame it won't be up and running for you. But have a great time, Hershey is a special place.
  7. Manhattan: Lombardi's Brooklyn: L&B Spumoni Gardens Staten Island: Denino's
  8. ^ Guess you missed my very next sentence where I said "Hershey is wonderful regardless." And as Strz mentioned, he hasn't been to the park since Skyrush was built, so ostensibly, he's already ridden those other rides and wants the King. Edit: My sentence "Skyrush is all that is good" isn't me saying it's the only good ride in the park. Three of Hershey's coasters are in my top 10. I was just laying on the hyperbole because I love Skyrush more than I love some family members.
  9. If it's your only opportunity to go then I understand, but if you can postpone, do so. Skyrush is all that is good. And although Hershey is a wonderful place regardless, I would be miserable if I was in the park looking at Skyrush and being unable to hop on.
  10. You do realize you skipped the best ride in the park? Part of me likes most folks not being aware of the amazing, far superior back car rides on this beast, but why oh why does anyone wait for the front row on El Toro? It's truly baffling to me. It always has SUCH a long long wait but just WHY. Golden Rule of Toro: Once you go back you never go back. It's actually really fun up front and a nice change a pace. But like I always say, if you haven't ridden in the back, you haven't truly ridden El Toro.
  11. Really? I wonder why. I was able to walk right along side the fence last Friday.
  12. I had no problems pain wise on Riddler riding in row 2. I was actually surprised that it didn't rough me up like Green Lantern at GAdv does.
  13. Batman: The Ride at GAdv this past Friday.
  14. Probably taking a solo trip down to the park tomorrow so they can take my fingerprint. Only chance to get there before they go to weekend only hours and I don't want any problems re: bio-metrics when I visit SFOT next month. If anyone plans on being there and wants to meet up, feel free to message me.
  15. ^ I don't really mind when it opens, just as long as they have a season pass preview on a day I don't have work.
  16. Joker is nowhere near being complete but the park is still projecting Memorial Day weekend.
  17. Even if they do replant every single tree that is removed it will take decades for them to grow to the size of the trees being torn down. In theory this project is great, but their execution of it is terrible.
  18. My one regret about yesterday was not heading to Golden Kingdom right at opening. Once the rain came around 12:30 both KK and Zum shut down (as per usual), and never re-opened the rest of the time I was there. For Ka, I can take it or leave it, but I only rode Zum once all of last year and now I'm begging for a fix.
  19. Today, all three were on Nitro, and two on both Batman and Skull Mountain. Didn't ride Superman or Lantern.
  20. That sentence was more about the actual ride (smooth as butter) but yes, their ops were pretty good. It helps that absolutely no one was waiting to ride it, but they actually dispatched the train I was on before the other one hit the brakes!
  21. ^ The gravel is gone but just behind the Chiller observatory is a huge mountain of dirt. So whether or not a new ride is coming, they're certainly clearing the land.
  22. Oh I danced alright. Edit: Just got home and wanted to give a few thoughts: Ops were great all around. Very impressive especially for this early in the season. El Toro, Bizarro, and Batman were all running like dreams. Nitro was a little rickety, but I'll give it a pass because it was open until January. My only complaint is that there was no place open to get food. Usually I wouldn't care because I avoid GAdv's food like the plague, but I was starving today and there was nowhere to stop. I understand they're short staffed, but how can you have no place open? Despite that, it was great to be back in the saddle. The park looks great, and Joker blends in seamlessly. It's a very impressive sight in person; can't wait for it to open. Ride count: Mine Train 2x Bizarro 2x SORA El Toro 2x Boldikus Mountain 1x Nitro 1x Batman 1x
  23. At the park now. Place is a ghost town and El Toro is running like a dream. Only knock thus far is that literally none of the food locations on the east side of the park are open. Edit: Nothing to eat on the west side either. Had to bite the bullet and buy an overpriced bag of Takis.
  24. Rock N' Roller Coaster (Florida version).
