  1. They're probably going to be terrible. I waited almost an hour to get on Shockwave at SFOT with their VR gimmick. I'd estimate even with both trains, stand-by for Superman will probably be at least an hour. It's just a stupid, stupid concept.
  2. Yea, the nearest hotels are all one exit above the park's exit on the NJ Turnpike. And the park is roughly 10 miles east of the Turnpike so yea, Bill is right.
  3. ^ Don't have any suggestions as to what the park should get seeing as I've only visited once, but they should never remove Runaway Mountain. IMO it's one of the best coasters in the park and it was such a pleasant surprise when I visited in April.
  4. ^ Definitely don't ride it first. Sure it's fun but don't prioritize over that big, unreliable green coaster and the equally big and unreliable orange drop tower built on it.
  5. I'd say about 90% mobile. Every once in a while I'll check in from my father's desktop but I usually browse via my tablet and sometimes my phone.
  6. Viper @ Great Adventure. Not so much the credit itself, but when I got it. 2004 was its last year of operation, and it was almost always SBNO at that time anyway. Somehow I was able to be at the park on one of the few days it actually opened.
  7. Anyone know how much the twilight admission is at the gate? It's listed as $33 (before taxes) on their website and was just wondering if it's any cheaper at the park.
  8. Maybe I'm immune to vibration then because I honestly didn't feel it at all on any ride. I'll see whats what when I get back up to the park later this summer to see if anything's changed. My point was that it probably wasn't having issues your visit. On my visit only one of the trains had issues, and at times during the year it was the other train having issues (or both). Probably has to do with the wheels or something. On ypur visit they were probably changed out. Because they are NOT something you wouldn't feel... Ah, I misunderstood. But you're probably right that some maintenance occured. If it is as intense as you describe you're right, no way I'd have missed it.

  10. I rode Wicked Cyclone 5 times last August with rides on both trains and never experienced these vibrations everyone keeps mentioning. Definitely agree it loses some steam on the hills after the on-ride camera, but it doesn't bother me. Still a great ride IMO.
  11. ^^ Probably busy, but manageable. Schools are still in session throughout the area so expect droves of annoying middle and high school students. If you feel you need a flash pass, keep in mind Joker is platinum only.
  12. I'm surprised no one has caused an uproar over being "offended" by El Diablo and the demonic voice they use for the safety spiel.
  13. ^ Probably due to the weather forecast. Holiday or not, when most people hear "rain" they stay home, regardless of whether or not it actually does indeed rain.
  14. Making my way to the park Saturday for my annual visit and I only have one question: is Stinger still up? I know it's usually down by this point, but I'm in the mood for some Vekoma torture and Stinger is my best shot for it.
  15. ^ The park is probably slammed and the ride's grand opening was today. My guess is long.
  16. Man, if Hershey RMC'd Wildcat it'd instantly surpass Great Adventure as the park with the best coaster line-up in the Northeast.
  17. Making my annual Dorney Park visit next Saturday.
  18. Wow! That looks amazing. Wish I could attend the passholder preview days, but alas real life got in the way. Going to have to plan a weekday trip to get on this because if internet response indicates anything, the ride is going to be pulling people from all over in on weekends.
  19. Seems I'm in the minority but I absolutely love Fahrenheit. It's in my top 10 (although in the 10th spot) Took me very much by surprise when I rode it last August. I say it's the 3rd best ride in the park.
  20. NY- Coney Island Cyclone NJ- El Toro CT- Boulder Dash PA- Skyrush MA- Bizarro FL- Manta CA- Full. Throttle TX- Texas Giant
  21. Double Shot is my favourite style of S&S Tower. Only been on the one at Rye Playland but it's a lot of fun.
  22. Best food in the park, IMO, is from Macho Nacho. So if you like Mexican and actual edible food from a Six Flags park, that's your best bet.
  23. ^^ Joker will be Platinum flash pass only. SRL's aren't an option, except on Green Lantern but the entrance to it is so far into the queue that it's basically worthless. The area around the park is woods. Nothing within walking distance to eat so if you get there early you'll just be stuck in the lot. You'd have to call another Uber to leave the park and get something to eat. Attendance could be a crapshoot, but you're going on a Monday so you should be fine. The park's weather policy is amazing; nothing closes in rain except Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro.
  24. Works for me. Last week I overheard people saying the wait for Toro was 2+ hours.
