Wow.... Let's get vertical, vertical, come on and get vertical. Let's get into vertical. Hahaha don't ask. I will say now that we can finally see a piece of track on some supports, and even without all the theming or building in, I REALLY like this color scheme! Awesome job to Loren Koch on the color choices and really stepping up all the theming in the park. The Koch family must really have something in their blood, or maybe the water they drink? They know how to build and run a theme park like its no ones business.... But I guess they WERE the first to do it. Wills genes were really passed on to those two!

You totally should! I take it for granted sometimes that it's in my own back hard and that during most seasons I'm there quite often. It's been normal for me to have a rough day at work and just on a whim head to Splashin Safari for some Bahari river time or a for laps on the voyage. It always makes crappy days so so much better. If you really have the opportunity to come and enjoy, I sure as heck would! On the other note, maybe that's the way the construction crews "bless" the coaster work sites to help keep the construction safe, and the people who get to ride safe, lol. You know like a good luck thing?

Lol. You know its funny but when people visit this area that aren't from here, that is the first thing they always comment on.... How crazy friendly and nice people are. I've always thought it was normal, until I traveled a bit. I'd like to think, and I do say, that it's our one special Southern Indiana hospitality.

There was at one time a porta potty off to the left side next to the woods. I notice it's not there now. Poor guy had prolly been holding it for awhile! Lol

This really makes me laugh lol. I'm watching the cam now. You sure he isn't just adjusting himself or something? Lol

Roflmao. That's hilarious! The most interesting thing I've caught on the construction cam are several deer in the early morning time lol. Wonder if the constructing guys realize they are on a construction cam? Lol Also I know I keep saying this, but I went over all the stats and press release for Thunderbird again this morning. Then after watching the vids again,,, I just CANNOT wait until this thing opens. I swear if it were possible I would be at Holiday World every day it's open next year, lol. Still can't believe HW, my home park, is getting this!! Ahhhh I wish it was spring 2015 already!

I don't remember commenting on that; frankly, I don't think I would have. But on a different topic, yes - we definitely plan to release the Thunderbird Theme for download. Would anyone be interested in a ringtone? If so, which portion of the song should it be? Not sure I could give up my beloved "Holiday Road" ringtone ... but I guess I could use both. (Heck, I keep my phone on stun all the time anyway. But once in a while, when the earbuds are in ... ahhh! I've missed calls because I'm so happy listening to Holiday Road.) Ack I sincerely apologize Paula. I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth u promise. It was my strokey brain making me think you had said that. I think I was thinking about some someone else has said on here about it. Again I apologize for my error.

Thanks! Hyena Falls does seem way out of place on those images. I've yet to see it in person. I'm still curious why it was placed way out there when there was plenty of room behind Kima Bay without needed to remove many trees. Also, the red outline isn't random. That's the actual property boundary as listed by the county HW resides in. Kinda looks like an elf's shoe.... I asked about the disconnected waterslide during the Q&A session on the New Hotness trip and whether the waterpark would eventually be filled in and expanded to that area. They just smiled and said "it's all part of the master plan". This MIGHT have been what I was referring to but for some reason I thought it was Paula herself. I'll keep looking!

I tried to find it before making that post because I KNEW someone would ask, but honestly out of all the posts on this thread it was quite a chore trying to find it so I gave up. But I DO remember seeing her post it here, and it was during the 66daysatsea time period, Paula, can you help me with this?

Paula DID mention in this very thread that the placement of Hyena Falls and how that whole area is laid out, is indeed part of an overall master plan that may not make sense now, but in time it will. Given that, I don't think the placement was a mistake. They obviously have thought far in advance enough that in the future the current placement of Hyena Falls will no longer be questioned. I get that it's kind of weird now and none of us get it or understand it. But Paula did in fact say it's all part of the plan, and I trust her and the parks development plans. They know what they are doing.

LOL I love it! Love that game. Certain things in the game though do kinda hold true in real life lol.

I would think bathrooms and a pepsi oasis would be down there near the exit, lol. If not for next season then the season following, Those oasis's are a GOD SEND having right near the exit of their other coasters.

One of my brothers is a music composition professor - we hired one of his former students to compose our Thunderbird theme. Talented guy! You guys should sell the music for some extra bucks (and to pay for the B&M.) I'm also curious if the theme song will play anywhere in the Thunderbird plaza.. I really hope so. Just watched the video again, a few times, and man that theming just looks amazing. Can't wait to experience it all in real life!

Am I the only one that watches the announcement vid at least once a day? I so cannot wait to get on this coaster! And Paula if your out there, I REALLY want that background music as an MP3 somehow!!

Schools down here in southern Indiana still have not went back yet. I think next week is the week.

Ahhh yes I've had similar fun times at Holday World myself. As for the water thing.... I still have friends that didn't realize that you could get water from the pepsi oasis. Lots of people are aware of the Gatorade but not the water so much. Honestly I didn't even realize HW SOLD bottled water, lol. As for the Voyage.... in its first year I got to know the Voyage Queue quite well. THere is rarely a wait now... but its first season I have some 1 hour plus waits. That station has LOTS of switch backs and hidden doors/rooms ect if/when the line warrants it. IT's actually a pretty cool queue/building, and the gigantic fans are a very welcome thing in the middle of July or August.

Liberty launch is just a really fun ride all together. It's not too much and not too little. I've been on other drop towers that were taller but not nearly as much fun.

^^^ Ditto what he said. I"ve been to Disney World a few times and I never had nearly as much fun as I do at Holiday World. The Friendliness at HW is real too... it isn't forced and bizarre and over the top like at Disney. Also I"ve been trying to figure out how that Newspaper article is offensive to anyone. I REALLY don't get. ::clueless look:: Is it something in the article, because I didn't really read past the headline?

Wow... Easy pay season pass option. That's just insane. Any other park do anything like that? It's prolly the option I will take!

This is quite an epic story! I love it because it kind puts some tall tales into the park. VERY VERY thought out. I'm kinda amazed a theme park, any theme park, put this much thought into a single ride... just blows my mind away.

Your joking right? I SERIOUSLY expected a bump in price increases next hear after this ride. Not just ticket prices but food and all. I'm simply amazed that they are doing this huge coaster and not upping prices at all.

Interesting... That makes sense to me! I'm still super hyped to get on this thing. It feels like a dream to me that HW, my home park, is getting this...I'm prepared to wake up at anytime lol. I think the pure fact that a large portion of this ride is going to be in the woods, alone, will make this even more thrilling than others. I'm drooling over the thought of a nighttime ride on this.... In the good ol southern Indiana wooded darkness.
