  1. Ba-STEEL. hahaha DUH! Thank you for sharing! Lol
  2. Hmmm according to the new holiblog post the VP Chris clue with the cake pops and all has something to do with the misspelling of the word Bastille.... So I guess I'll spend all night purposely misspelling Bastille to try to figure it out lol.
  3. I'm feeling that same excitement. because i'm curious, is Holiday World your home park? I feel exactly the same way! HW is my home park as it's only about 30 min away. I'm 33 so I've grown up and watch the park grow and flourish my entire life. So it's not exactly just the excitement of a new ride, but excitement for the Koch family, that park, and that town.they have come so so so far over the years. Met with challenges of all sorts they just looked them square in the eye and dealt with whatever was thrown their way in the most amazing way possible. They have had some extremely tough times in the recent past few years, so I consider this announcement to be a celebration or gift to themselves of sorts for making it through. The HW family truly deserves all the attention, high praise, kudos, and business growth this new attraction will certainly bring. I'm so terribly proud of my home park and those who run it. I consider myself lucky beyond means to be able to grow up with such a place right in my backyard and to be able to watch them grow as they have. That park has done things for me that they will never know beyond just providing the best family fun. When I suffered tragic losses in my family, park was there to remind me that it's still ok to have fun and helped me unknowingly through the grieving processes.... More than once. When I went through a very nasty divorce, my season pass became the best therapy any money could ever buy. And this season I have not been able to attend because I had a stroke a few months back..,. And yet despite my ability to be able to go this year, the park has still somehow helped me through... All the depression seems to go away every time I read a tweet, holiblog, or other post. Plus with this new attraction and just my raw desire to go to that park often, it's given me strength and purpose to work very hard to recover so that next season I can be one of the very first to ride whatever this new thing is. Apparently this is a new chapter for them, and it look forward to the rest of the journey! To HW - good luck and have a blast tomorrow! You guys deserve it all and more!
  4. Anyone else in a way kinda sad that the 66daysatsea is over? Maybe I lead a boring life but checking the site for new clues everyday has been a highlight and something to look forward to everyday for the past 66 days! Thank you Paula and all at HW for making this such a fun journey getting here and sharing the excitement with us! Excellent job to you guys. You've set the bar for new ride campaigns so high... Not sure any other park could ever top it but HW.
  5. Again, thats fine if you disagree, lol. Thats just my guess along with some others, doesn't have to be anyone elses. I"m not gonna argue my guess because its just that... a guess. Soon we will all know everything!
  6. I'll have 4 devices streaming the event... lol I actually have people coming over to watch with me. lol. Also, only a couple clues weren't caught? LOL I figured we had probably missed a good portion of the hints, especially the ones that had pictures, lol. Can't wait! Put in me in the "I'm so nerdy and excited I probably won't sleep tonight" camp
  7. You could be completely correct and I wouldn't be surprised one bit at all if Paula wasn't just messing with us and throwing us red herrings, lol, she's sooooo good at it. But since we will all know for sure tomorrow I'm still gonna take me chances and bet on the name being Thunderbird or The Thunderbird..... Just for fun.
  8. This is COMPLETELY off topic but I found it surprising and thought I'd share. We are having some really crummy weather this morning, dark skies, rain, wind, thunder (a lot like they voyage our pilgrims are on, ha!) and I was watching the splash cam as Splashin safari opened..... Not really expecting to see many if at all, people rushing into that park...but guess what? Lol these people are relentless! Considering its a weekday and it's crummy weather there were a surprising amount of people(to me) that rushed in. Looks like most rushed to the wildebeest and the mammoth, but some jumped right into the Bahari wave pool and Bahari river, lol. Maybe it's because I'm spoiled and live so close to the park that I can plan my trips to the weather accordingly, but there is no way I would consider jumping in that water right now! There isn't any lightning so I know it's completely safe....but wow lol. People really do love their water parks, lol.
  9. I know nothing has been done to the site over night obviously, lol, but I see all kinds of interesting things that I didn't see yesterday.... Sure does look interesting.
  10. I see your joining me and OneOfTheWills theory that the name will be Thunderbird... I agree yesterday's clue solidifies my stance on the name.
  11. Those old plans were for a steel coaster. Remember thats why Leah was so excited about them becuase she was always bugging her dad for a steel coaster.
  12. I was thinking this same name a few days ago, but thought I was crazy. I was thinking wingrider bird type names and looks like you were too. And now with the 65th clue, it almost confirms it IMO. As much as Ive been hoping for a launched wing rider, but at the same time was somewhat doubting it, I am pretty much convinced this is what it is!!! Lol I'm SOOOO afraid to post my guess as to what exactly what kind of coaster it will be in fear that I'm totally off the mark lol. But yea thats sorta where I was going with that. Just my uneducated guess based on the clues is all.
  13. I wonder if they are going to add any new food places. I swear I love going to holiday world for the food almost as much as everything else. Their food game is on point! Mrs Claus's kitchen..... Yummmmmmy..... Plymouth Rock Cafe turkey and dressing..,OMG....blue ice cream... Safari sams pizza..all the deserts and extra goodies everywhere....and FUDGE!!! I seriously need to make a HW food run soon.
  14. Lol yea... The @Jstuts dude who responded and asked a question is me. I almost feel semi famous I was in a mention by HW and retweeted by someone else lol. I'm a dork, I know.
  15. I'm currently going through all the days from the beginning. I'm currently on day 11 and everything seems fine. Maybe the site is getting hit hard right now with traffic? Also did the day once clue ALWAYS include a photo of a flag? I didn't remember it from before but it's been awhile since I've looked at day one so maybe I forgot about it.
  16. Sorry for the double post but I'm curious... As tomorrow is day 66 and technically that would be our last clue... Will there be any clues at all on day 67(Thursday) before the event I wonder? Ohhh and TO THIS DAY no one apparently has gotten the clue that the new VP Chris "gave" us in that holiblog post. I just re read it and looked at the pics of Chris and the cake pops again.... And I'm still left scratching my head. That one really bugs me.
  17. Wow Paula lol .... Just wow. Lol "roars over our mayflower" wonder if this is going to go over the Mayflower ride at some point? Paula is so messing with is its insane! I figured in the beginning that by now we would be getting huge and less vague hints at this point, but nope the hint machine is still going strong with its vagueness and fun. And yes Paula, thanks from me too after the newest post lol.
  18. Mine is! Lol ok. I mean I did do some searching and I also read that same Wikipedia article, so MAYBE I had a good hunch. But I always seem to loose guessing games, ESPECIALLY when I really think I know for sure. So I don't want to say I think thats the name for sure for that reason lol. If that makes sense? Also why I haven't put down my end all be all guess as to the coaster type... Even though in my head I have an idea. I will I guess say that I am with you on The Thunderbird...or even just Thinderbird..... If not that then I'll guess The Storm.
  19. Lol guys my guess of The Thunderbird wasn't exactly an end all be all statement. I was just thinking about the clues and the type of coaster that I see it being in my mind and The Thunderbird popped into my head. It doesn't go alone with their normal 3 syllable coaster naming convention they normally seem to like to use as someone already mentioned. It's probably not the name they are going to use but if it were my coaster I would consider it for sure. We will know soon enough! I can hardly contain my excitement! Paula - I'm glad I didn't have to read all the gory yucky details like you had to, lol. I'm sure parsing out all the really gross parts was quite a chore for you! You still FOR SURE got the point across that it was anything but an enjoyable trip. Lol great job!
  20. Yup I'm with you lol. I'm seriously grateful I did not have to participate in such a journey. These people have been through a heck of a lot and here it is 2 days before arrival and they have no clue where they are or if they will survive the next 24 hrs. This ride is going to be.... Intense. Lol
  21. Yea this has been bothering me too. You would think they would complete the whole roof all at once. It also "bothers" me that the part that isn't complete is the same part that has that really large opening in it.
  22. Ok I have a question/thought for those of you that are into engineering and construction. In the picture here I'm posting from the construction cam. Is it just me or does the footer I circled in red on the LEFT look like it has a water pipe coming out of it? And also the footer circled in red on the RIGHT just looks weird with a like thin slab of concrete on top of it with a gap between it and the footer... Plus a weird copperish colored fin of some sort on it. What could that possible be?
  23. Good point I didn't think of that. Maybe they will have another naming contest, winner getting front of the line rides on the new coaster for a year and a season pass? Lol. Doubtful they would do a naming contest for a marquee ride though. Just dreaming. The thing is, the two obvious fitting ones would be the Mayflower or the Voyage lol which they have obviously used both.
  24. How about The Thunderbird? Kinda goes with the storms and all the flying in the sky.
