  1. Six Flags St. Louis would like to have a word with you.
  2. Don't get yourself too excited. Ultimately may lead to more disappointment. I'm really going to laugh if this just ends up being a kids area expansion. (Not that that's a bad thing.) Take a look at this shipping detail. Well there you have it. Thank you for actually posting the link. It would of been nice if someone had done that originally either to Facebook or what you did. Otherwise for those like me who don't have interest in Facebook and searching around in it, you look like you are going crazy. It sure is. (Never said it was, just said it was going to be funny if it was.)
  3. It really is a small world. I grew up in Orion and my grandpa lives down in Galesburg still. (Pretty much all my family lives in the Midwest.) I'm shocked to hear about the bowling alley as that place always was busy in the evening. I remember when half the thing burnt down a while back. (Well mainly the attached restaurant.) Galesburg is certainly a slow place minus railroad days and the Stearman fly-in. Back on topic, that is certainly a shame. Do you live in Galesburg or nearby? Do you mind going to parks by yourself and transportation is what's hold you back?

  5. I haven't noticed gang problems or violence at Lakeside. It is just a little run down and spooky in a Silent Hill or Final Destination kind of way. I would definitely not plan on eating or drinking anything at Lakeside though. Elitch is actually a nice walk from the light rail station that runs from the airport to downtown. It is worth taking for one of the legs. Dido on taking the train to downtown. It's $9 and depending on the time of day, faster. And yes, Lakeside isn't really in a bad part of town. That honor usually belongs to Colfax.
  6. I want to say Pepsi cans have discounts. You could also check King Soopers as well. None of the commercials here have been clueing in on discounts yet. If I see something I'll let you know.
  7. Look up the show at MTI, they are the ones who license it and list all upcoming productions. (Note there is a Jr. version so you'll probably want to avoid that one.) Messing around there appears to be three different productions within the next year in the Vancouver area.
  8. I mean for $20, can you really complain? Just don't do the waterpark.
  9. If I'm not mistaken, the Missouri park was supposed to to become the eventual flagship, hence why they own(ed) so much land. Disappointing it didn't pan out but certainly has kept the charm of it's original self.
  10. I believe that there are couple of reasons for this. First, the land on the other side of the lake is residential, and the homeowners don't want noisy roller coasters echoing across the lake. Second, management keeps that side of the park quiet so as not to disturb the animals. I think that those are the main reasons for the lopsided layout of the park. The decommissioned naval base accounts for the 150' height restriction in the park. I could be wrong, but I believe those are the reasons that the park is laid out the way it is. That is what I have heard as well. Makes perfect sense really.
  11. To clarify, the reason that made it awful was it become extremely rough. When I get back there maybe it will be different.
  12. Call me crazy but I kinda like the faded red. Fits in a little better then bright red. If they do paint it, cream white with a muted red would be fine. I'll say it again, Viper is a criminally underrated ride. It packs a really good punch on the back to back loops and at least where I rode was decently smooth. The only thing that was awful was the corkscrews which was due to excessive trimming right before them, not the fault of the ride. Corkscrews shouldn't be taken that slow.
  13. Going to the park here in a bit, we'll see how this goes.
  14. From what I read from various articles, sounds like anyone that completes it gets $300 now.
  15. More importantly, which show? Spongebob closes on the 16th, you know! You guessed it. That's what I was planning on but oddly enough they are not open that Friday. (The day I fly in.)
  16. Just dragging this back up from a few pages ago: Finally firming up a weekend East Coast trip next month. (Mainly to see closing night of a Broadway show.) Since the show is Sunday night have decided to make a return visit to Hershey and get that elusive ride on Skyrush. (We were next to ride before they shut it down.) How are crowds on September Saturday's? Specifically I am going the 15th. In ideal land, I would spend opening till around 2-3PM at Hershey then drive up to Knoebels for the evening. (Sue me.) Was just at the park last year in May so did most of the stuff so just really looking to hit a few things that we missed and some ride some favorites. Mainly Skyrush, Storm Runner, Chocolate World (didn't do as well), ZooAmerica possibly, and a couple of others. Park Hours: Hersheypark: 10AM-10PM Knoebels: 12PM-8PM
  17. Desktop to me means either a tower or an all-in-one but that might me just me. (So tower, right?) New graphics card is certainly a must, that is mainly what is holding you back. Second priority would be RAM, cheapest of the three. While an SSD is fine and dandy, I would consider it a lower priority. Also keep in mind you will need to transfer ideally your OS over there which can be tricky if not knowing what you are doing. (I guess you could use the SSD for applications only but I'd prefer faster boots for the OS as well.) Side comment, if you really can get into it, Intel offers Optane Memory which basically makes your HDD more like an SSD for way less. But you need the right equipment and knowledge to do that...
  18. They do run three trains FYI. Depending on the cycle either two in the station and one on the track or two on the track and one in the station. (In fact when I was there last they had two waiting to launch. With how it is setup with Zumanjaro, you cap out at three trains as seen above. (Though rumor has it this will be change.) That is the true capacity issue along with slow ops. The day I was there the three train ops with fastness was probably just as good as four.
  19. Repeating a question from above, is this a tower, all in one, or a laptop? The answer will make all the difference. I think you would be wasting your money to buy a whole new system just to run Planet Coaster when really only one thing is holding you back. That being said if you were thinking about a new system and were saving the money...
  20. You cray! Whatever happens, I hope the area from Log Flume to JB's gets some updates and TLC. Outside of some of the queues, that's one of the only areas which seems very much run down. You made me cringe with that word there. The only thing worse would have been if you put a pound symbol before that word. Didn't say when. Someone will send a used one there eventually.
