  1. For some strange reason Dorney felt it was necessary to add a bunch of their flat rides to Fast Lane. https://www.dorneypark.com/things-to-do/fast-lane
  2. Your unbridled excitement about a fence is inspiring. Also concerning.
  3. I actually enjoyed Soaring Eagle when I rode it a couple summers ago. I didn't find it painful at all. I also like the spiral lift, but it would only work for coasters with single cars, not trains.
  4. I always get one meal at the sit-down full-service restaurant The Alamo. The food there is delicious.
  5. I ended up getting Flash Pass today about 1:00 or so. The lines were way too long by then. I discovered Mind Eraser is just as painful in the front row as it is in the back. I also discovered that Batman the Dark Knight is quite rough compared to Bizarro at SFGAdv and Hydra at Dorney. My three favorite coasters in the park are Wicked Cyclone, Superman the Ride, and Pandemonium.
  6. If the lines are bad you can always get The Flash Pass. That's what I'm planning on doing since I'm only visiting the park Sunday.
  7. It could also help that since I'm a bigger guy the restraints tend to seal the pockets on my shorts.
  8. I think it's funny how they always stress that items will fall out of pockets on SkyRush. When I went last summer, I had everything in the two non-closing side pockets of my shorts and nothing fell out.
  9. Forgive my ignorance, but why doesn't the park stay open later than sunset outside of the State Fair days?
  10. Lightning Racers called. Unfortunately, so did Wildcat. I actually enjoyed Wildcat. There's a much more painful woody at Dorney.
  11. When I rode SkyRush last June, I never felt any pain in my thighs and I was never scared for a moment. I tend to avoid rides that scare me and just ride the ones that are fun.
  12. It just means they send the train around empty when they transfer it on. Thunderhawk at Dorney Park is like that.
  13. In my opinion, you should have to ride any coaster any special way to enjoy it. You should be able to just sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride.
  14. All Wheel Sports is returning to Dorney this summer!!
  15. Is it just me, or do the headrests on those trains seem to tilt pretty far forward? They look like they would be pretty uncomfortable.
  16. I'm going to have to visit the park again this season. I completely forgot about the chairlift when I went last season.
  17. Coasterbill is most definitely joking, and it was executed beautifully.
  18. Hydra the revenge has an awesome back story.
  19. I took Wednesday off work and I will be at the park. As long as Nitro, Batman, Skull, El Toro, and Bizarro are open I'll be happy.
  20. Now they need to blast some Ozzy when you're in the queue for Harley Quinn.
  21. I went last summer and in my humble opinion the indoors queue with the funhouse mirrors on the walls was the best part of the ride. For a spinning coaster it sure did not spin all that much. Pandemonium at SFNE is a much better spinning coaster.
  22. What I love about coasters is my eyes watering from the air rushing past them. That just ain't gonna happen with VR goggles on.
  23. In regards to Batman, I say ride both the front row and the back row and decide for yourself which you like better. I personally prefer how you get whipped through the elements in the back row.
  24. I don't usually marathon coasters either. I'll usually spend most of my day alternating between Nitro and El Toro with a few detours to Bizarro, Superman, Skull Mountain, and Batman thrown in along with some rides on the flats.
  25. They're hauling some serious butt with the construction of this coaster.
