If, while living far from any parks, you always make sure you get to the local carnival absolutely every time it comes to town, because you're that desperate for rides, and suffering from withdrawal. If, at the carnival, the Carnys give you extra long/intense rides, respecting you for being an enthusiast (always happens to me... Got a 20 min ride on the zipper, with the op starting/stopping the ride to spin my cage constantly. -

According to rcdb, it's at least 4.3.... Quite a lot for a ride people say was less intense than Kannonen. -
Typically they wait, but maybe they're jumping on the "announcing early" bandwagon like the European parks. As a side note, any idea why parks are announcing their rides so early nowadays?... Is it cause with all this social media, they know their plans will get leaked early anyway, so start announcing before digging starts? That's the only reason I can think of, as at my home park, the forum/fan site has leaked the plans for the last 3 rides.

I agree... I can't believe how fast those seats snap back into place! I was expecting a soft return to the upright position... Not a neck breaking snap! I cannot wait to experience this bad boy!!! Wonder if the seatsare supposed to snap back that quick... Maybe the broken cylinder was caused by them tilting too quick?

Find it very interesting how so many companies and parks are focusing on these coasters that are more about being just fun rather than super intense. Wonder why?... Is it just because most parks need that "middle ground" ride? Anyway, helix looks great! -

Yes, but it's only around 90ft above ground... Just lower than this new ride.. My guess is they pull an oblivion & build a tunnel. -

Does anyone know if the waterslide parts are for splash works?.. Or will they be moved? -

I take back what I said earlier about this ride lacking intensity. Looking up the stats on RCDB, it pulls almost 4.5g in some parts, and looking at the POV, this ride seems to have the perfect mix of thrills and just sheer fun! EDIT: Just watched the night POV.. It was sick!... looks almost like a POV from RCT3 where there's always a light on the lead car. -

To me it seems like the latest trend is less intense, but more fun, rides. Not sure how I like this. While some of tge hs tuff like new school B&Ms, & other more family friendly/re-rideable coasters are fun, nothing beats a flat-out crazy intense ride, like BTR (or Kannonon in this case). Overall though, Helix looks awesome. -

If you are waiting in line at the checkout of Walmart or target, and imagine it's a line for a coaster/park. If you walk out of that same store, see a carnival set up out in their parking lot, and ask yourself, "Why don't these stores buy their own collections of rides?" Seriously though, even though it's probably never going to happen, stores like that having their own rides would be pretty sweet. They're often located in smaller/mid sized towns that don't have a park, or in the sub urns with other box stores, giving a slight bit of competition to the regional parks in that area.... Yes, I know, I sounded like a total nerd just analyzing that lol. -
Ride You Felt Was Unsafe?

I've even noticed this on some S&S towers. The restraints don't lock until you're just about ready to launch... Kinda sketchy. -

According to some pics, it climbs back up after the first drop, then enters the mountain. -

This ride looks absolutely amazing. It has the best of Goliath and Outlaw run in one ride! Plus, it's Europe'a first RMC. While I was hoping for an underground section, or fire effects (maybe the latter will be in the "better" POV), but other than that, this looks awesome... Like someone's NL dreamcoaster come to life. My personal guess before the announcement was RMC's first full steel coaster. -

Well, Wonderland's new dark ride/coaster is about the same cost as wildfire... Maybe a dark ride coaster hybrid?... With the perfect coaster and perfect dark ride? -

Well, ofvthe beginning of the ride is decent enough, with at least 1 major element, I'm now even more pumped to find out what the major finishing element is. My guess is a verbolton/th13teen style drop. As for the "coaster or not" debate, m pretty sure it'll b @ least a decent coaster, with a drop hopefully at least the size of the fly's. Also hoping it's got some other good elements, and can hold me over until the next big B&M arrives. -

Ya, was really disappointed to hear it was fake ... When I saw that the youtube link was a rickroll I nearly punched a hole through my laptop. Happy to see that the post was taken down... Will spare anyone else the disappointment I too can't wait to see what this is ... Hoping that if it's an RMC, there's something unique, like the fire tunnel everyone's talked about, or a completely new element like Goliath's zero g stall. -

If this was a Voyage-length RMC air-time machine built into the terrain, I would call that unbelievable. It doesn't have to be unique, but it's the idea (like Balder) that it's a high quality coaster that will produce a fun, fantastic ride. Agree... Terrain RMC would be sick Add a launch and some fire effects, & we have a winner! SO PUMPED FOR THIS RIDE!.... Only ONE MORE WEEK!!
