^^The picture you posted and the one shown in the article, plus all those above are based on the SW8 plans that recently surfaced. So although they're unlikely to be 100% correct, the final coaster will look sort of like them when it opens in 2018. So no,not fan fiction but based upon the plans. -

If it actually turns out to be an Intamin drop tower like Falcons Fury then it will be incredible, they've certainly got a really good collection of tower riders for sure! -

^^That's a very interesting teaser, i can't imagine it being a drop tower though cause they've already got one but a tower ride seems likely. We shall find out in two days! -

God it looks incredible from that POV,looks absolutely full of airtime! I'd have to say though that the standout points to me look like the launch itself and the quad down! -

Thanks for the pictures. They got the color choice absolutely perfect here, its a gorgeous coaster! Shame that the station isn't quite finished though but i'm sure it will be soon, hope that it turns out to be a big hit for the park! -

^I thought he was, and i agree, that's likely to be for some sort of Splashworks expansion, i'd certainly not say that it's a hint towards a coaster. -

^What hints would those be? there's no construction walls up or anything anywhere, so certainly no posters. -

^Canada's Wonderland have also had no hints of a new coaster, it's not likely to be for either of those parks. -

There's a picture on Kings Island Central that shows the label of that green track, it has X-Works on it and also WI in the code, for Wing rider. So i think that we can now safely say what type of B&M it is. -

Looking good, still looks like there's a decent amount of work to do around the ride itself though. -

^Thanks for that update, that domes certainly an interesting part of the ride/ theming! -
^Hows that? to me it looks like they've come up with a very interesting concept and just trying something different that other manufactures don't currently offer

^It does. I'm also very interested in seeing the trains, they certainly aren't winged and look like they're the same style as Tarons. -

^It has been since Intimidator 305 in 2010 yes, but no, no ones thinking a new coaster, not for 2017 at least. Obviously it can't be ruled out until all 2017 announcements have been made, but we've seen nothing that indicates one at all. -

^The last coaster they added that was not a B&M was back in 2013 with Gold Striker and Coast Rider. Also the coasters that you've listed there all use a Hydraulic launch system which is known to be less reliable than using LSM's, the last Hydraulic Launch coaster was back in 2011 as well. All i'm saying is that if they decide to add a launch coaster at any point it's not going to be unreliable as you were saying -
Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread
RyanTPM replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Seriously, there's a rather large amount wrong with what you've just said right there. Cedar Fair are just so unlikely to work with Intamin again after the issues they've had with them, although it is possible. Plus, for a wing rider like Furious Baco they'd need a new train design with all the issues it has currently. They've got no reason not to work with B&M for their coasters and add an Intamin, they're reliable, look great and have fantastic capacity. In regards to launch coasters being unreliable, that's incorrect, you're only using Lighting Rod as a reference to that point, and they only have issues with their launch because they used a new company to provide the LSM's(that we know of). Nothing wrong with your opinion though if you think every park should have an Intamin, they do make great coasters! -

Well it's certainly decent, going to be interesting to find out whether there's something more to this with all previous secret weapons being a worlds first or breaking a record. Still not understanding why they're planning to take so long with construction though, the sites a little hilly, but aside from that i'm not seeing why it's going to take over a year to build.
