  1. This really sucks, considering how great Bizarro is and how much room the park has. Hopefully they're not removing Bizarro just to do a Rougarou treatment to Green Lantern. Also, #S&SFreeSpinConfirmed I don't think Bizarro is going anywhere, I believe the poster was just making a quip on how Six Flags rarely opens rides on time
  2. At Cedar Point in 2013, I remember one of the employees at Maverick openly insulting GateKeeper to anyone who wanted to listen. Kept calling it a '$20 million mistake' Well the employee was wrong, it was a $25 million mistake
  3. The best thing you can do while riding X2 is relax and don't fight it. Let it throw you around, it hurts less. Also, I've found the inside seat in the last row to be the smoothest.
  4. As fun as it looks that flat looks like it'd be a maintenance nightmare, so many working/moving parts. Be interesting to see if any U.S. parks install them, I doubt any Six Flags parks would want them
  5. Yeah, the new school B&Ms really irk me. Give me that 90's loud roar
  6. It's by far the most gorgeous of these Premier skyrocket coasters
  7. That train is actually Riddler's train that Great Adventure borrowed for a while when they opened Green Lantern. This is a Green Lantern train and the one currently operating on Riddler. Notice the lime green stripe across the bottom It's called paint. My bad, I wasn't aware they painted Riddler's train to match Green Lantern when they sent it to Gradv. It does make sense though since Green Lantern was "new" at the time. Hopefully they'll get Riddler back to two train operation soon.

  9. Gave me whiplash for two days ugh
  10. Maybe with the transfer track it makes it possible for two cycles without hindering capacity
  11. Can we just talk about RR for a minute? And how it literally has THE WORST station queue layout possible? Interesting observation with the train. I'm really curious to find out. I've never seen it run more than one train but I didn't notice it was from Great Adventure. How long has it been like this? I was there this past winter, but I skipped RR because of its impressively slow line. Oh it's by far the worst queue!! Not to mention that annoying Equador techno song they've been playing since '98. Another annoyance are the overly long queues on older rides that aren't necessary any longer (Goliath, Riddler, Batman etc). Its like a mile trek and God forbid you get an op that won't let you re-ride. The last time I saw Riddler running two trains was sometime last year Tho I didnt visit the park between Sept '14 and May of this year
  12. Ummm so where exactly are Riddler's trains? They've been using one train for the longest and it's from Great Adventure (has lime green stripes along the side).
  13. I wonder if we can do a cumulative TPR top 10 since it doesn't look like we'll be getting Mitch Hawkers this year. Like compiling data in this thread from the past 6 months or so.
  14. ^I just looked at the live cam, it's a sad sight. There's almsot no one on the mid-way and all the coasters appear closed. I feel bad for anyone who traveled a distance to go today
  15. A giga would just be way too expensive in earthquake prone California. Goliath cost $30 million with only a 4,500 track length. I can't image what the price would be for a ride the size of Fury Unless they were able to some how use a lot of the hilly terrain, thus reducing the amount steel necessary for supports (like they did with FT). I still think it would extremely expensive for frugal Six Flags.
  16. Mine has changed a bit... 1.El Toro 2.Maverick 3.Twisted Colossus 4.Millennium Force 5.Diamondback 6.Goldstriker 7.X2 8.Full Throttle 9.Banshee 10.Top Thrill Dragster
  17. This ride is definitelythe enigma of the 2015 season. Cant wait to see the finished product
  18. Giant Dipper does not fall into that category, but the other three do. Giant Dipper could be made smoother, but as it's a historical coaster I really think making it smoother would ruin it. It's not rough to the point of being uncomfortable now anyway, unlike GhostRider and Apocalypse. Though GhostRider would probably benefit most from topper, it's unlikely to happen for a similar reason as Giant Dipper. It would probably need to get a lot worse before CF considered it. CF will never change GhostRider's layout, topper is the only thing they'd ever maybe do to it. That ride is as sacred to them as the Timber Mtn Log Ride or Calico Mine Ride. I don't personally agree, but I know that's how CF feels about it. I don't think SFMM cares to makeover Apocalypse, I think they'd sooner demolish it and build something bigger and faster. Grizzly might happen later, but won't be happening this year since they're already redoing a different coaster at CGA this year (Vortex). It's Roar, no doubt about it. Honestly, I don't see how it DOESN'T fall into that category when my statement was pretty plain. Being a coastline ride its exposed to a lot more elements than others, and sure, the argument to not topper track it could be nostalgic based but honestly it would benefit from the upgrade. Some rides on it (depending on the car) just plain beat the piss out of you. Is it likely to happen"? Nope. Would it benefit from the upgrade? Yup. GhostRider is probably the one, out of all the woodies I listed, in need of it most! Consideration if it gets worse? IMHO if it gets worse its going to seriously hurt someone. Even in a middle car I was hurting bad... almost to the point of tapping out on rides and the park for the rest of the day. Now I avoid it like the plague. Just give me a full day of marathoning Xcelerator and I will be happy until that happens. Demolishing Apocalypse is not best for business when it comes to the bottom line. You're going to pay double right off the bat for a new ride! Starting with the demo cost (which isn't cheap - we are talking equipment rentals, labor costs up the wazzooo - not to mention all the permits for said demolition, the cost of disposing of its materials, etc). After thats done you're taking on the price of designing and implementing a new ride (more parts, labor, permits, etc), when all they need to do is topper an un-altered layout. Topper it off, forego the redesign of an Iron Horse treatment and keep it the way it is. Just make it smoother and capitalize off TC's promotion. "Brought to you by the same company that brought you Twisted Colossus!" aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Cash in. I'm Laqueefa, and I approve this message. As weird as it sounds, I think Apocalypse SHOULD get the iron horse treatment. MM doesn't have the best record when it comes to maintaining wooden coasters. Iron horse would eliminate the need for extensive maintenance. Don't get me wrong Apocalypse has an amazing layout, but it's near unrideable in its current state. Even Ghostruder wasn't as bad in 2004 when it was six years old. Six Flags must do something with Apocalypse, and soon! It gets noticeably worse each season.
  19. Goliath is more than just the chain that needs fixing, the entire lift has to be brought up to code. Won't open until September
  20. I'm all for a polar coaster built off the sky tower
  21. There's a huge fire in Stevenson Ranch, I wonder if the smoke is affecting guests
