They could build a multi-story parking garage like Disneyland's and use the old parking lots for new rides. Plus, the parking garage would mean much less walking. They could put it RIGHT NEXT to the ticket booths. And your car would not be 150 degrees when you went back to it. They could even put a coaster on top of the parking garage. True but Disney money vs Six Flags money....we're talking Wendy Williams vs. Oprah

Big thrills for a low price!

I think rides like Superman Ultimate Escape at SFDK are a great deal. You get a coaster with three launches per cycle and it takes up a small footprint. I think they run about $7-8 million We'll see if more parks order the S&S 4D free spin. Another small, relatively inexpensive ride which takes up a small footprint. Early reviews suggests the ride is fun. -

Legend has it El Toro actually cost over $20 million, which makes sense because if it was $12 million... a lot more parks would've installed intamin woodies. -
No matter who manufactures the giga, it will be really expensive. Giga coasters all have A LOT of something that is very expensive..... STEEL. RMC can iron-horse a ride like Texas Giant for $10 million because the support structure is already there, the footers are there, the lift hill is there etc;

Six Flags hasn't spent more than $15 million on a single attraction in almost a decade (SFoG's Goliath, Tatsu, and El Toro being the last). I doubt they'd start again up again with an attraction that would probably cost about $30 million. Plus has anyone taken a serious look at SFMM's skyline? I think MM is landlocked. Not as extreme as say Knott's for instance, but MM doesnt have the space a Gradv or a KI has. Most of MM's rides are close together and sort of on top of one another. Not sure where a giga would fit, maybe if they removed something.

MM doesn't need any more coasters, they should focus on taking better care of the ones they have. RMCing Colossus was the first step in the right direction. Restoring Revolution, painting Tatsu, a serious rehab on Riddler, a re-track of Apocalypse, and just general freshening up of the park should be next on the agenda.

Got a 2nd ride on TC Sat night right before closing and we dueled on the green side. Guests are still having a hard time lifting up the restraints to exit the ride. If they can get that in order, along with a test seat out front (a gentleman had to do the walk of shame while were in line) it would greatly improve trains getting out faster. Another thing I think MM should do is what SFDK does with Superman. You're not allowed to take ANYTHING in beyond the person assigning seats. That way you get directly in your seat, no stepping over the train to put things down etc; Side note, allegedly RMC wanted two stations for TC but MM said no because they did not want to staff two stations. Not sure exactly how true this is, but does sound like something Six Flags would say

brave man. how long did you wait, or how long has it been? Not bad actually we waited about 1hr, rode GL then came back and got in line about 8:40 almost on again. First ride on the blue side we left the lift at the same time but the duel didnt quite sync up. On the green side the blue train was going too fast and left the lift before us. Lets see if we duel this time.

Visited yesterday for the first time and thought the park was okay. Pretty clean and well run for a Six Flags park. Hit Superman first, and I knew the ride would be good based off reviews but man this little thing is forecful!! Got two quick rides, the staff absolutely HUSTLES never seen a Six Flags attraction run so effeciently. Wish I could say the same for the rest of the rides in the park. Next was Roar and probably the 2nd slowest crew in the park. Was about a 20-30 min wait from the entrance. The station had an employees who was probably the foulest smelling person I've ever encountered. I understand working outside etc but it was 1100am!!! No bueno!! Roar was unthrilling, rough and slow!! V2 was about a 20 min wait, you can tell the ride wasnt designed for the type of harnesses it has. The hangtime was painful!!! Sad they had to reprofile the ride from it's original intent. Medusa had the longest wait in the park due to them stacking two trains.The ride is okay, much prefer Bizarro at Gradv Rode the family cobra coaster thingy for the credit, not bad for a family ride I guess. Passed on the Daredevil ride, the wait looked short though, the GP doesnt seem too interested. Skipped Kong and their Boomerang due to Vekoma sucking. We also had an hour drive to CGA so we didnt stick around too long. All in all, it's a decent park for what it is. The park could use a mini-hyper to really put it over the top. However based on their cluttered skyline, I don't see where they'd have room. Snapped a couple pics for good measure A shot of Medusa, the park is pretty tidy for a Six Flags park IMO #nopecoaster The new girl at school isn't too popular Cutey patootey, the animal habitats/cages seemed smallish Best ride in the park by far

Visted yesterday for the first time, and it's a really clean and well taken care of park. It's a pretty decent size as well, much bigger than I had anticipated. The park was pretty dead, didn't wait more than 1 or 2 trains for any ride. Got there around 3pm after leaving Discovery Kingdom and was done with all the rides around 7 or so. Goldstriker was first, definitely my favorite GCI by far. It's so relentless and out of control. I hope they take good care of it because it would be one brutal ride if it gets any rougher. We headed to Vortex which I was expecting to be horrible but actually wasn't. Not a great ride but not a bad one either, headbanging was minimal and it wasn't as rough as Mantis. The ride definitely speaks volumes of the stark difference in g-forces between B&M's earlier rides and their later ones. Flight Deck was very forceful and smooth, again early B&M, and is easily the 2nd best ride in the park after Goldstriker. I do prefer Batman when it comes to old school inverts. Just seems to have better pacing and the perfect mix of elements. Psycho Mouse was a nice surprise, a great little wild mouse and probably my 3rd favorite in the park. Grizzly was up next, the ride isnt bad but there's really nothing exciting about it either. Looks pretty with the old school morgan trains though Demon was by far the worst Arrow I've ridden. I've been on several Arrow loopers and after a while you learn how to ride them. However not this particular installment. The double loop (particularly the 2nd) just about snapped my neck in half. Neck still sore as I type this Was surprised by the amount of flatrides the park has, we partook in a few like the Top Spin, Inveter ship, and spinning disco...sorry their names elude me at the moment lol We left around 8 after marathoning Gold Striker and Flight Deck about 5 times each. I really like this park and will be back if they get a new coaster in the coming years. I know the park doesn't pull the numbers of other Cedar Fair parks, but really hope they get a small hyper or a compact launcher in the near future. I'm not good at remembering to take pics, but managed to snap a few

GCI: Are Their Days Over?

^It's not HORRIBLE just not as smooth as it was a few years back. I think the most disturbing thing about Apocalypse is the pukey white color it's faded into -
I'm kinda excited for this announcement, even though I don't plan do be in Orlando any time soon. I'm still hoping for a Mack or Intamin hyper, but know it will turn out to be yet another B&M. Hopefully it will be more along the lines of Fury, with a more twisted layout with low to the ground elements.
