Dude can't you see that old Vekoma company is dead!!! I wouldn't say they are on the level of Intamin but they are clearly light years away from the Hang and Bang Vekoma of the past it seems Oh i feel you, I'm definitely impressed by Rollercoaster Formula 1 and the junior boomerangs. However if I was going to spend $20 million on a ride I'd have more faith in a company that has Superman, Millennium Force, i305, Skyrush etc; on their resume. -

Wow they both looked great, slightly prefer the Intamin one. Plus we know Intamin will deliver, they're masters at hyper coasters...with all the sh*tty rides Vekoma has built in the past I wouldn't trust them just yet. -

Wrong. If they want to break the record for the tallest wooden coaster in the world they would have to beat Colossos at Heide Park Resort which is 196.8 ft tall. I think he means drop length, which Goliath still has the record. -

New Texas Giant is my favorite of the RMCs I've ridden thus far (Twisted Colossus, Wicked Cyclone, Joker, Iron Ratter), I just love the abundance of airtime, length, and layout. A variant ofTexas Giant at CP wouldn't be such a bad thing and would probably be top 3 in the park if not #1. -

Whatever they're doing to Mean Streak isn't for 2017, The Sandusky Register hasn't leaked anything yet -

Have any of the previous iron-horse conversions had the lift hill completely removed?? -

My friend and I went 2 weeks ago, and although the forecast called for thunder storms it never came to fruition. Just rained off and on most of the day and the rides stayed open for the most part until there was a down pour for about 30 mins. CP's weather policy doesn't seem as extreme as it was a couple years ago. -

I think it should be pointed out that New Texas Giant was a prototype design, and one with an intentionally slow build process. They were inexperienced with the new technology at the time, so they took baby steps. Twisted Colossus easily trumps New Texas Giant in terms of sheer size, scale, and intricacy, and was completed relatively (or at least comparatively) quickly. My prediction is that RMC Mean Streak opens in 2017, but not with the rest of the park at the beginning of the season. Unless they start hauling A$$ with construction, that is. Sorry for the double post, but it was censoring by acronym for New Texas Giant for some reason. I agree Twisted Colossus was a huge project, the original Colossus had over 8000ft of track to rip out, plus the massive structure. That being said, RMC had California's mild weather on their side. Not to mention we're in a drought here so rain was scarce during construction. I'm not saying ya or nay for 2017, but there are more intangilbles pointing towards 2018. I'm sure all of us want 2017 though, we're in the instant gratification era -

I'm not too sure about that...https://rcdb.com/615.htm IIRC, Goliath was under construction most of the 1999 season. Even if you discount Goliath, Batman opened in March...RIddler, Viper, and Scream all opened in April. Point is, not all SFMMs coasters open in July like some like to allude to -
