  1. Bring back Kinzel, he kept Cedar Point's major additions innovative and cutting edge. I feel like the park will always be great but their days of being the benchmark for awesome new additions are over IMO
  2. Are you kidding me with your comments? You cannot even get the name or spelling right. LMAO!!!! Wow, my wife who was actually becoming an active enthusiast stopped posting on here because she thought every was a jerk, and now I'm wondering why I even waste my time since people here seem to take the fun out of one of the most fun things imaginable. I live about as far from SFMM as possible while still being in the country, so I'm not exactly up and up on their new ride. I have visited SFMM over ten years ago and will likely not be there again, so it's pretty much an afterthought. I just make a comment where I mix up the name with the Cyclone (and yes, after working 13 hour days all week I got lazy and didn't spell the name right either) and it's ridiculous the level of superiority some have on this board. I've been commissioned as a writer and researcher, so next time I write a paper or prepare a presentation at a conference I'll make sure you proofread it since you must have a doctorate. My comments still stand: I think this is one of the least imaginative RMC's out there and think in ten years its likely to be an afterthought. I was interested in what RMC might do with a racing or dueling coaster, but the design didn't blow me away like their others have done. Although its apparent that SFMM didn't really operate Colossus as initially designed, I hate to see a coaster that was a prototypical classic racing coaster go extinct. I grew up with a picture of Colossus on my wall, and it to me defined what a wooden coaster should look like. Yeah alright dude, you're right, were the jerks. You're being super negative about the best coaster California has possibly ever gotten. I have no sympathy for you're lack of respect if you honestly think this coaster doesn't put he colossus name to justice. Have fun not riding this amazing coaster. and I'm all for what RMC is doing since I'm a negative G and drops junkie who could care less about inversions. My preference is a good wooden coaster Yet you feel RMC should've left Colossus as it was?

The most defensive post I've ever seen, no one would have come at you had you taken a more diplomatic (as well as grammatical) approach to critiquing "Twisted Colossus". That's all
  4. I definitely have Wicked Cyclone envy, I hope to get to the east coast again this year and ride WC, Bizarro, Skyrush, and i305
  5. I'm from California and had a similar scenario lasr year. I just printed the confirmation with the barcode and took it to season pass processing when I got to Cedar Point. It was quick and easy (a matter of minutes). If you bought the platinum pass you can show your barcoded paper to the parking attendant for free parking.
  6. They've gotten so much work done on TC in the last month or so. I wonder if by some miracle they can squeeze in a Memorial Day opening
  7. I love so many genres of music, my tastes range from... Bjork, Tricky, Portishead, Brandy, Beyonce, The Sound Defects, Lady Gaga, Usher, Jay-Z, KoRn, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Bonobo, DJ Shadow, Kendrick Lamar, Goldfrapp, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Massive Attack, Laika, Pharcyde, A Tribe Called Quest, Tosca, Madonna, Lemon Jelly, The Offspring, Tweet, Lana Del Rey, Kelis, Missy Elliott, Phantogram, Big Sean, U.N.K.L.E., Static X
  8. Good luck getting Six Flags to spend 20+ million on a wing rider for Gradv. I think a Premier launch coaster or something RMC in the 10-15 million would make more sense. Weren't there rumors regarding Gradv and RMC swirling around last year? The rumors just kinda fizzled, wonder if maybe there was some truth to it but pushed back to '16 or '17
  9. And is it on record anywhere how much Gradv paid for GL, just curious because wondering if the price for the coaster, the shipping expense, paint, refurbishing the trains was the same price as buying a brand new coaster.
  10. I think GL compliments Gradv's line-up extremely well, and it looks beautiful sitting at the front gate IMO. When I visited in Oct it was one of the longer lines in the park, from what I remember it had a longer line than Nitro, Bizarro, and Kingda Ka.
  11. Kinda makes me wonder who handles parts and/or equipment for a ride like Goliath where the manufacturer is out of business. Do other manufacturers handle things like lift chains (ie B&M or Intamin) or are parts handled by third party people?
  12. I hope they paint Raptor, it looked like a rusted mess when I was there
  13. Cedar Point King's Island Knott's Cali Great America
  14. The angle of ascent into the brake run on the green side looks sharper than the vid. Hopefully that translates into a pop of air at the end.
  15. Great footage, it definitely seems like it hauls more ass than the other two operating versions.
  16. Just saw some photos on IG and my paranoia has been put to rest the outward bank is up Was going to post the pic but wasnt suren if IG photos are allowed here
  17. Those track pieces look like inversions to me, I'm guessing Wing Rider or small dive machine with inversions
  18. I'm more concerned about the track getting installed and them testing it before "oh my god, is it going to have 3 or 4 trains!!?" Lighten up, there's nothing wrong with discussion/speculation
