I hope that little speed hill before the helix is like Mako's little speed hill before the midcourse. That is my favorite part of Mako, especially in the front row. Also, its nice its got the roar going for it.

At least you got that. I worked from home for like two weeks before getting laid off. I'd like to go back to any office, but when it's safe. I know. I'm lucky to have switched jobs last year to one that allows me to work from home, my last job I would have still had to go in or been laid off. I am trying to remember to appreciate that but I just want to go back to work. I am ready to go whenever they tell me its cool - I'll wear a mask, wash my hands and bike instead of public transit etc etc . I hate hate hate working from home.

Yeah between HITP since 2015 and then starting to squeeze in the Florida/Virginia trips in March the last few years, this is starting to hurt. It's a small gripe though. I'm on like day 53 or something of WFH, I just want to go back to the office already!

Great news! I was super bummed when it was first announced they were closing, they've always been high on my "weird little parks" list. If this quarantine has done one thing its made me vow to take as many trips as possible once this is over. Can't wait to get out here.

I love these videos. I love aerial shots of coasters and parks. I spotted on FB the other day, and of course can't find it now, a post where a news station in Orlando did a fly-over of the parks there. Love it. Can we please have a thread of all aerial photos of parks and coasters?

Of course park chains would be delusional to not at least consider that 2020 won't happen at all. This is CF covering their ass for all of 2020. I'm sure SF and the other chains will follow. Hershey announced the same but through June of 2021, which I'm sure will be extended as this continues.

Looks like all the Cedar Fair parks have announced 2020 season passes will be good through the 2021 season.

Construction work on JDC continues. Locals have been using drones to get footage/photos of recent work. Not going to share here but google is your friend. They are moving right along. Also, thought this was worth sharing here. If you grew up in the area in the 80s (not sure what the broadcast reach actually was) you probably remember the show Dancin' On Air. They filmed an episode at the park, and the footage is the perfect way to spend an hour of your quarantine. Laugh at the hairstyles, fawn over the footage of rides gone to the boneyard.
