  1. This park was so good. So sad to see it go... That being sad, I can't wait to see what you come up with in RCTW.
  2. Magnum's last train of the year on November 1st... it's been a long couple of months
  3. This park is just... wow. Please keep it going even past present day. I hope six flags doesn't ruin it hahahaha.
  4. Love the park... can't wait to see where it goes! Do you plan on bringing this park all the way up to present day?
  5. I have an even better solution!! Both of these need to happen somehow
  6. I put it into a solver and it couldn't make any solutions with all of the letters but one result that might fit is "bathing suits". I'm not sure how that fits with what is going on at HW but it was the only result that seems to be a remotely possible clue. Here is the full list. We're all insane. In my mind, people who aren't like us are the insane ones.
  7. THAT'S WHAT HE SAID!! I saw that coming from a mile away.
  8. Omg this park has started out great! Brings back memories of when I used to play RCT3 before I was dumb enough to download Windows 10 and it ended up screwing up my computer and causing RCT3 to not work... anyways keep up the great work! I look forward to seeing more!
  9. I don't know if this one has been posted yet but... you might be a coaster nerd if you refer to Skyrush as "thighcrush" and it feels weird to say "Skyrush"
  10. I can see them putting in the Chicken Shack restaurants that they have put in at other Cedar Fair parks like KI and Carowinds. I'm all for that because the Chicken Shack chicken is surprisingly really really good.
  11. Glad to see they are staying open until 11 on weekdays. More time to ride valravn
  12. I've always known them to have 2 day admission tickets but I have a season pass so I don't really pay close attention. I would wait until closer to the beginning of the season to see if they eventually put 2 day tickets up for sale. I can't imagine they wouldn't.
  13. I'm just guessing but I think it was probably something that they could do to stay ahead of schedule while they were waiting for the large crane to be shipped to the park
  14. Idk Magnum has some pretty crazy ejector airtime
  15. ^ love the winter chill out but it sucks that it's gonna be $50 this year. That's up $5 or $10 from last year. At least the $ is going to a great organization and I will happily spend the $50 for such a great event
  16. I don't know of any near miss elements on any wooden coasters but maybe a near miss on Legend that is somehow themed to the headless horseman.
  17. I should have stated earlier that I'd still rather see it get a huge refurb. than it run backwards because the layout as it is is amazing so going forward on a now hopefully smooth layout would for sure bump Legend into at least my top 20
  18. I can agree with this. Thunderation had backwards cars for several years (and SDC is a better analogue for HW than Six Flags is), and they were quite popular. I don't think I personally would want to ride Legend backwards though. I took my first ride on it in the dark, and the dark there is so dark I couldn't see a thing. I didn't like it at all. It wasn't until I went back the next morning when I could see where I was going that I liked the coaster. With significant changes to the layout, backwards could be fun. But not on the current layout. Oh didn't know SDC ever ran Thunderation backwards... I agree they are a much better analogue than Six Flags!
  19. I hate when people go under the assumption that if a ride doesn't have OTSRs then it isn't safe.
  20. Legend, as it now terrifies me as a backwards coaster. The ride is already hard on your body because of all the lateral Gs so going backwards through those parts would probably make it worse because you wouldn't be able to anticipate those turns quite as well. That being said, if they were to renovate those turns to make the lateral forces less "destructive" and make the overall ride smoother than I can totally jump on the backwards train idea and I can totally see Holiday World doing it especially since, like another commenter said, Six Flags has seen a great deal of success with the backwards trains.
  21. I only rode Fury 325 and Rougarou and I take Fury by a long shot. Edit: I also rode Tempesto but Fury still takes the crown
  22. I don't particularly consider this a coaster but since Cedar Point does... I'd say pipe scream. I've never ever touched the restraint on that ride.
  23. We went this summer and did a VIP Tour, which included the All Day Dining plan. You actually get a good choice of food. You can do things like Chic-Fil-A, Panda Express, Subway, Pinks Hotdogs, and of course any park food like chicken strips, and pizza, and such. Really will enjoyed the food, and it was easy to use. You just let them scan your wristband when you are done ordering, and it takes care of everything for you! I personally highly recommend it. With that being said, I am not sure how much the All Day Dining plan actually cost because it was included in our tour, so you may want to weigh the pros and cons of it. However, if you did like we did and you eat 3 regular meals while you are at the park, in addition to snacking, then it is well worth it. We did not use Fast Lane, but from what I heard from talking to people in the park even with Fast Lane Plus people were still waiting an hour easily for rides like Maverick, Gatekeeper, Dragster, and MF. While we were at the park I saw a posted price for Fast Lane Plus, it was $120 per person, plus taxes. I hope this helps a little! If you do have the means of being able to do so I would highly consider looking at booking a VIP Tour. With the tour you have plenty of time to do everything you want to do in one day (Minus Soak City) which eliminates the need for staying in a hotel for several days, and several days worth of theme park tickets, and several days worth of food, and several days worth of Fast Lane Plus. Not to mention the experience itself is well worth the cost! It's very tailored to what you want, and it is well worth it! Worth it enough that we are already planning another one for this year! Good luck with booking your vacation! I agree that the all day dining is worth it (we have season dining but the food options are the same) Cedar Points food has come a long way (CP's fresh cut fries are to die for) I do however disagree with whoever told you that they were waiting around an hour for rides even with Fast lane. I visit CP around 40 times a year and I can tell you that the Fast lane lines for everything never gets to be more than 20-25 minutes. We have used Fast lane Plus twice in the last 2 years and it was worth every penny! Sadly though you will never be able to get FL+ for less than $90 a person but still it is well worth it. Hope this helps!
