  1. Does anyone know when/if the Media Day for Thunderbird is? (Haven't heard much about it so far)
  2. ^Yeah, and especially with those awesome green lights!
  3. Wow! Between this and Fury 325, B&M is having a pretty good year! Honesty, that launch looks amazing - and really smooth; I cannot wait to ride!
  4. Love it! Looks like there is going to be some nice headchoppers on that helix!
  5. Yeah, that's for sure! And it's like people think that this coaster is going to change everything. It's not. These RMC coasters are actually visually appealing with their natural colors, they're not some cotton candy colored pink track with orange supports (just look at Outlaw Run at SDC, it blends in with the natural landscape). So, it blend in with the surrounding area, and noise could most likely be reduced, heck, they're one of the most innovative companies, I'm sure they could figure out *some* way to reduce noise. I guess that the wildlife issue is the only one they need to address. but anyways, let's hope the delay is short!
  6. Whew! Thank god! Was worried there for a second. Outlaw Run- very loud, definitely will get complaint Others- from the videos, NTaG is almost Gerstlauer silent. I believe that they should be able to use the polyurethane wheels like they did on Goliath to make it quieter (Goliath's initial test runs did have some noise, but now that coaster isn't loud at all).
  7. Wow! Love the coaster even more now!
  8. Yeah, I love how the Superman Logo fades every year, but the parking lot stripes are still there after years.
  9. The lines on that ride get long, but if you hit the sweet spot around 3:00, the line is only in the station. (At least from my experience).
  10. ^Yeah - I haven't checked the cams for two days, and when I just checked them, I was like wow!, they've done a lot.
  11. Invertigo
  12. I actually really like those colors against the trees.
  13. Ok, wow. That. Drop. Looks. Epic. I mean, the steepness is sustained throughout the drop - not just a few feet like an El Loco. Lagoon sure is going outside of their bounds - I could honestly see this putting them on the map.
  14. Yeah, no kidding - in the past week they have really done a ton of work. If they continue at this pace, it will *for sure* be open by March.
  15. Guys I'm pretty sure the people at RMC know what they are doing - they have this figured out. The coaster will not suddenly collapse in the middle of operation one day.
  16. I mean, I'm pretty sure small drops are made sometimes to increase intensity of forces. Imagine a 100 foot drop: Pop of airtime, small sense of falling down, followed quickly by positive G's. Now for a larger drop: The large curvature at the apex would probably result in less airtime at the top, more falling sense, but positive G's would be less sudden and more gradual near the end of the drop. Just think of something like a mega lite (small drop) and Leviathan (large drop). I'm pretty sure the better, more fun, and forceful drop goes to the mega lite... but that's just me. Personally I love what RMC is doing, they make not the largest coasters with the biggest elements, but they make compact rides that are intense, quick, and fun - which is surely what every enthusiast loves. And that is why they have done so well in the industry.
  17. ^^That would be exciting, and they have some track near the ground right after that turn, so they just have to bridge the gap. That would leave them a couple days to do that - might happen!
  18. Ok, just got around to putting this video together, but here it is: (It's a construction montage of Thunderbird's construction - day 1 to almost complete with track work) Enjoy!
  19. Yeah, and to be honest, we should be able to wait in a line for a good ride. I have never judged coasters on or never will by asking "Was that worth the wait?" I just find that stupid - waiting and riding are two different things. I think we all need to remember that some parks have stopped going with the large scale, multi million dollar attractions for a variety of reasons. We need to be grateful for what we have - some parks are getting nothing this year.
  20. They now have some people working on the drop track area up high in a basket - they are probably prepping the area for the track, so I guess that mean it's today.
  21. Wow, very excited for some more near misses! It just keeps getting better and better! ^The drop capsule idea is interesting, but probably wouldn't appeal to all audience since they are a family - the littler ones seem to be scared to ride those. It could go any way, though.
  22. You never know, though - they do like re-themes (Bizarro, MFRB, just to name a few). Probably isn't likely, because if they were doing that, they would have probably announced it by now.
