  1. Still no more lift pieces for today. I think they are focusing on the zero - G. Hopefully they will hold off on the lift until Saturday so they can lift the "crown" in front of the masses (I know the park is open daily now, just Saturday will be busier). If so, I am looking forward to seeing the lift being topped off.
  2. I find it interesting the lift is in two more pieces - it would seem to go faster if it was one piece.
  3. I am really liking that purple on that train. Looking forward to the reviews coming in this weekend!
  4. Just watched the episode. The park seems very confident about May 29th.
  5. I couldn't imagine it getting much better! Now I need to get back there...
  6. ^For the last segment that aired in January, WGN posted it on their website - I would be shocked if it wasn't on there this time. Anyways, I am very excited for the segment! But I probably won't get up at 4AM to see it. (I have a recording set)
  7. Whizzer - Six Flags Great America
  8. Magnum does have some pretty sweet airtime - my legs get sore from riding it!
  9. You mean "Holy crap, that's Lighting fast!" *Ba dum tsshhh!*
  10. Nice! That gives perspective on how steep the drop will be and how tall the lift is (in contrast to the airtime hill, which looks like it will deliver!)
  11. ^Thanks for that timeline. Nice to see how our coaster has progressed over the winter/spring. I was thinking that the crew would install the lift in two more pieces. I thought that because there are ten more "sections" to be installed (the spaces between the vertical beams that separate the segments of the lift structure - right now there are five above the arch) Ten sections would be a be a very large segment, so I think they would break it up into two segments. The largest segment they have installed was the arch, (seven sections) and that segment seemed very large. Also, they would probably break it up so they can "top off the lift" with the tallest segment and make a ceremony of it - perhaps they would do that on Saturday in front of the crowds at the park? P.S. sorry if this is very confusing. I did my best to explain it well.
  12. Now they seem to be securing the section into place with even more bolts.
  13. That is what it sounds like! Maybe they could change it to some cracking lightning
  14. Me too! I love the "whirr" caused by the motor hauling the train up extremely fast.
  15. This coaster is looking better and better. Love how this piece turns impossibly over the vertical tower - it seems like it could fall (just makes this coaster more intimidating!)
  16. Wow! That is faster than I thought the train would whip through the course. This has potential to become the steel Outlaw Run (airtime wise).
  17. You know you are at a Six Fags park if you constantly hear the ride operators saying "take 5".
  18. The construction crew has got a lot of work done in the last few days. Just curious if any one thinks they will be on time.
  19. That top to the tunnel looks cool - just hope there is more so light will be blocked completely. Either way, I glad Six Flags took time to create a tunnel for the coaster. I was thinking it would be a "bonus round" if the transfer track at the end failed and fell down.
  20. ^^Does that mean the whole brake run is now in place? (hard to tell the location of that piece from the photo)
  21. That is going to be one awesome ride! Are they going to have a Media Day? If so are club TPR members invited? Thanks in advance.
  22. Oh wow! That is a long ways away - more than a month!
  23. I really have to agree on the setting of the ride. It is hands down the best themed Batman. Do the other ones even have the police car after the zero - G? For the best Batman clone (ride experience) I would give that to La Ronde - one of the most forceful coasters I have ever been on. On to the topic of Goliath, It looks like right now they are filling the airtime hill with grout. Can't wait to see the lift structure complete. It will really dominate that area of the park - should be very intimidating to park guests.
  24. Goliath looks very nice in the setting light...
