  1. Maybe some bamboo roofing that would fit the Golden kingdom Theme? Or something like the Bug's Life queue at Walt Disney World - I know that queue has some netting over the pathway and it doesn't look out of place.
  2. The bad operations should be completely expected . . . the park hasn't been open in 5 years! The rides look good, so once KK gets into the "groove", it should be a great park. Especially in the coming years - A Twisted Twins RMC Iron Horse treatment would work wonders for Kentucky Kingdom. Also, the raft ride and T^3 should be fun - that is if it isn't to jerky! Hopefully they could install the "more comfortable" trains in 2015.
  3. I actually think the "hiddenness" of Kingda Ka makes it what it is. When you can't see the launch, it seems more mystic, majestic, and forbidden. Just my two cents.
  4. I saw them fixing that on Saturday . . . seems like there is more to go wrong in the construction of a woodie as opposed to a steelie.
  5. I didn't know you were talking about that sign. I agree they should install a sign there - how much could it cost?
  6. ^I doubt it. If they weren't ready to test, then they should not test. Still can't explain why they are still working on construction. Maybe the "object" that fell off needed to be repaired? - that still doesn't explain the four cranes, though.
  7. If it really does reach "terminal velocity" zone, that is very cool. They could hype the "terminal velocity" speed up before you ride to make the anticipation higher.
  8. Wow! Could there be some other uses for rough coasters?
  9. ^I also heard 100 hours while I was at the park on Saturday.
  10. Hopefully RMC can restore that coaster. If they merge the two sides it could be their longest creation yet!
  11. ^I believe they do have an entrance sign with running water. Also, Deluge apparently opens at 2:00 according to their website: http://www.kentuckykingdom.com/park-info/rides-service-today/ Photo credit to: http://newsplusnotes.blogspot.com/2013/08/scott-and-carol-present-exclusive.html
  12. Good. I was thinking this looked slow, but if it speeds up, it should be just like Outlaw Run.
  13. ^That airtime hill looks insane! Here are some stills I captured at the park that I thought I would share:
  14. Just noticed that if you close off the days tabs, a map will be left on the screen. The "Mayflower" according to the map departs somewhere in Europe around the Czech Republic, where Intamin's track is manufactured. Maybe I am taking overthinking the map, but could this mean an Intamin?
  15. As the sun sets over Six Flags, there should be some amazing night rides on Goliath.
  16. Nice! I almost think the zero - G looks more intimidating!
  17. That would suck for the people who bought a t-shirt. Those front of the line passes will come in handy in the summer when Goliath has a huge line, though.
  18. ^ I like Kingda Ka better too. It gives me an adrenaline rush and TTD doesn't for some reason.
  19. Good. it is not just my computer it isn't working on. It is probably the camera. I think there is the option to report the camera as "not working" on the page.
  20. ^ I like to put them down at the end of the coaster - not the launch. Going down the drop with the wind whipping through your fingers is amazing!
  21. "We have learned the ship’s swabber gains a new assistant each Monday. This crew member is called the liar and is thus proclaimed for having told a public untruth. The liar must clean what the swabber will not, the beakhead and chains."(day 8) My guess is the "chain" reference is to a traditional chain lift coaster - not a launch. Also, any thoughts about a "smaller" coaster can probably be dismissed as I'm sure they wouldn't make this big of a deal over a junior coaster. In those 66 days lots of hype will be generated, and a junior coaster would most likely be a letdown.
  22. I am going to sound weird by saying this, but the OTSR's don't bother me. When I put my arms up, they won't whip me forward like on TTD, and it makes for a more pleasant experience in MY opinion.
  23. Oh, the drama over a section of track that wobbles a bit . . . it is insane that this made the news! Could this possibly be better than a Mega Lite?
