^So your actually paying money to sit in a stadium full of Tennessee fans while not actually being one? That's brave, or foolish, or a combination of the two.

I've always wanted to judge a food contest of some sort, I think it would be a blast. It was a lot of fun reading your results. Every time I watch a BBQ competition show on tv (BBQ Pitmasters or whatever) this is usually the case with most of the pulled pork entries. Very little difference between competitors in the pulled pork category, the ribs and chicken seem to be where they really make their impressions on the judges.

I'm in the intro riding Top Thrill Dragster. I might be in the height and speed episodes as well. I know several TPR members went to the shoots, but what footage the producers choose to use is anybody's guess. I thought that was you on that clip of Dragster but I was too lazy to rewind it and verify. Has that episode aired yet?

"A ride on Thunderhead is like going on a speed date with a southern belle" That was an actual quote from the show, who writes this shizz ? It's still better than Bert the Conqueror though. Other than the ridiculous commentary (which is pretty normal for shows like this) this series has been pretty decent.

This. I'm surprised more people don't use Discovery Cover as their gateway ticket to all of the SeaWorld parks in central Florida. I think for like an additional $50 you can get unlimited admission to SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, and Aquatica for the length of your vacation which is a great deal. These new additions look fantastic, I can't wait to get down here again sometime soon and check them out. Edit: I Just verified pricing and it's only $20 additional to enjoy SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, and Aquatica for 14 days. So $300 for a dolphoin swim and full day at Discover Cove plus 14 days unlimited admission to SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, and Aquatica. Best deal in Orlando by far.

^Yeah, I don't even feel like talking about that story anymore, It's just gonna keep getting worse. Will be interesting to see what kind of sanctions they NCAA implements on the football program. I'm a fan of the exotic neutral site games teams are starting to play. There are only a handful of programs in the country that can pull off one of those games, but they are fun to watch. I wish they could have made the proposed match up between Tennessee and Va. Tech at Bristol Motor Speedway work, but they never did and probably never will. That could have been really cool.

I found it kind of funny that the bbq joints in Memphis advertise Memphis style BBQ on their marquee. Great report so far though, I'm interested to see your results. Personally it would have been hard for me to compare different pulled pork if I didn't have all of them sitting in front of me. The best sandwich for me probably would have been the most recent.

Clemson and Auburn played a great game a few years ago, one of the most physical games I've seen in a long time. While neither team is that highly ranked (Clemson somewhere around 15), I expect this to still be a good match up. The Michigan Bama game could be interesting, I think Michigan can compete for a little while but expect Bama to dominate them. It will be interesting to see how Michigan handles Denard Robinson that game cause you ain't winning the Big 10 in week one against Alabama but you could lose it. As good as Robinson is he's still only 195 pounds, and Bama's defense is full of pro's that could very easily end his season. Could get interesting.

The seasonal events have gotten REALLY good at SeaWorld parks over the past couple of years and this looks like one of the best yet! Can't wait to get down there and check it out. Like some others have mentioned earlier, I preferred HOS last year to Horror Nights (and in 2010). I've been to HOS the past 4 years and it has progressively gotten better every year, Can't wait to see what they have in store this year! Death Row Vengeance was a really good house the first couple of year but it has run it's course and something fresh will be a welcome addition. As long as there are night rides available on Kumba it will be the best Halloween event in Florida for me !

Even it it did require a lot of re-engineering and investment it could be a intersting way to plus one of the BTMR attractions. I mean the ride doesn't really need anything in my opinion but 10 years from now or so upgrading the experience might not hurt. Grizzly Mountain looks awesome by the way, almost the perfect coaster for a Disney park. I really like the buildups before the exciting sections and almost wish Everest was more like this. As good as Everest is the beginning of that ride always seemed like it was just missing something to me, it really could use more track/a show scene between the lifts besides the long slow curve around nothing. That lift into the backwards drop effect would have worked great on Everest before the backwards section too.

Memphis is a pretty neat town. I went through the Civil Rights Museum last time I was there which is inside the Lorraine Motel which Dr. Martin Luther King was assassinated, and it was very interesting. I'm not a big history buff or anything but they have the room where he was shot still completely intact as it was that day and it was a pretty surreal experience, worth checking out if ever in the area. I'm excited to see you Memphis BBQ pics, there are some great rib joints down there. One of these days I'm gonna make it to the Memphis in May BBQ Festival, it's one of the most prestigious BBQ competitions in America and is supposed to be pretty cool.

Skycoastin' Steve's 2012 Season Extravaganza!!
Hilltopper39 replied to Skycoastin Steve's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
The detail they put into Verbolten is amazing, the trains, the que, the stations, the story, the little BBW references, everything about this attraction is full of win. Looks like a great addition to one of the best parks in America. Awesome report once again, but Tebowing in Georgia colors? You guys must be Dawgs fans.... -

I'm not surprised by the poor reviews of Oziris, they are consistent with most every other recent B&M invert installation. At least it does have a fairly unique layout and I'm sure, like most every other criticized new coaster in the world, the GP will love it. Only us nerds will pick it apart. -
I really wasn't all that interested in the Fantasyland expansion after the official announcement, but as the attractions start to open and more construction pictures start to come in the whole project is become much more appealing. The Dueling Dumbos looks great, but I wonder why they didn't have the interactive que opened?

Fun Spot America Discussion Thread
Hilltopper39 replied to jedimaster1227's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I wonder if they would allow Fun Spot to kind of encapsulate the structure with a fabric of some sort? You would think that wouldn't comprise the integrity of the design very much, but could look very nice if done properly.
