So, to anyone that went yesterday, were the ride experiences on Renegade and Excalibur impacted at all by the flooding? I'm guessing no, since those rides are designed to handle flooding, but you never know.

That's a bit surprising to hear them planting pine trees there, but if the top of a slide complex is built high enough, they can probably still fit one there. If nothing does go there, then I guess the old Hydroblaster spot would be the best bet. Off topic question, but to anyone that has visited recently, have they started displaying wait times on FunTV yet? The last time I was at the park was two-and-a-half weeks ago, and they still didn't have them up. If they're still not up, then maybe we just shouldn't expect them at all. On the matter of FunTV, I do think that it has so far been a good addition to the park. The music videos and park trivia are good content, but the things that bug me the most are those "Reason insert number here to have a Gold Pass" commercials.

Cedar Creek Mine Ride - Cedar Point

I would remove the mid-course trim brakes on Wild Thing at VF. If those trims were removed, the second half of the ride could have some amazing airtime, but with those trims, it's just mildly fun at best. Those evil contraptions...

That's strange. I usually visit the park on weekdays during the summer months, and Excalibur almost always opens along with the rest of the park. Maybe it's just my luck.

Death

According to Dave Frazier's Twitter, Excalibur is reopening tomorrow at 10 am. No word on Renegade or Thunder Canyon yet. It's a good sign, but I'll be happiest once Renegade is open.

The thing with water slides / parks, even the bad ones are pretty fun. As someone that has never been to a good water park, I really hope Valleyfair goes all out next year. Well, based on all I've heard, it sounds like Valleyfair will go all out on the waterpark for next year. Based on what I know, it could be more than simply one slide package. With the removal of both the IMAX theater and Hydroblaster, and a plethora of flags and markers in that area, I don't see why it couldn't happen. It's likely that anything to comes to Soak City will be from White Water West, and they manufactured Dragster H2O that went to Cedar Point's waterpark in 2012. If the park moved a few things around, I could see a clone of that going in the old Hydroblaster spot. Dragster H20 Clone?

Bad customer service

Amusement parks for me. Don't get me wrong, theming can be a nice addition to a park experience, but I'm just not the type of person that cares a lot about theming. I just want thrilling rides, and theming doesn't matter. You'll probably call me crazy, but I'll take Valleyfair (my home park) over a Disney park any day of the week.

-Don't try to sneak small children who are too short onto the rides. It doesn't work, and it slows down the lines for everyone. -Don't force young children on bigger rides if they don't want to ride. No one wants to hear a young child screaming "I DON'T WANNA RIDE!" at the top of their lungs. -Cutting in front of others in line to rejoin your party is considered line jumping. Don't do it. -Try not to be a jerk to other people. You're there to have fun, so the less negativity between people, the better. -If you're truly annoyed with someone or something, handle the situation maturely and don't throw a fit in front of everyone.
