  1. In addition to the video games in the arcade, I also like that the prize selection compared to arcades in other parks like Dorney and Great Adventure. Besides having Hersheypark themed items for prizes, they usually have a lot of licensed sports teams items.
  2. If there was an award for worst park policies, I think place would win it. How can they not sell food and then not allow it to be brought in, especially when their main customer base is probably families with kids?
  3. I'd like to see more parks load coasters like Knoebels has this season. They leave an empty row between groups but rather than just using every other row, they allow groups to ride in rows without any spacing so there are fewer empty rows per train.
  4. I'm glad to see they are open every weekend in October this year with I guess the buy outs and Antique Auto Show that normally took place the first 2 weekends cancelled. I am kind of surprised they kept the daily operations on weeknights in December, the few times I visited the park in past years on those nights, they were always empty. It also looks like Candymonium will be open for Christmas Candylane. I was not expecting that considering how strict they are about running rides in cold temperatures compared to Great Adventure.
  5. Twister at Knoebels yesterday.
  6. This was a late September Saturday 2 years ago. The past few years, Sundays are less crowded but still lines can be up to 45 minutes.
  7. They have one in the front row. They are also in rows 3, 5 and 7. There used to be just 1 in row 5 but the park added them to more rows a few years ago.
  8. Candymonium last Tuesday. I didn't think I was going to get any new credits this year and was glad to add a new coaster to my count.
  9. They really increased the height requirement a lot compared to when it first opened. I remember in the 90s it was 42" to ride alone and I want to say 36" to ride with someone else but not 100% sure on that.
  10. Phoenix at Knoebels. It felt great to be at a park and ride a coaster again.
  11. It's a shame they couldn't get Wildwater Kingdom open or even a section of it open. That might have boosted attendance more than usual in September with the opportunity to keep the water park open later in the year without Haunt.
  12. Hersheypark sent out this email yesterday: "We're excited to announce a new program starting today for our Season Pass Holders. While our Park capacity management remains unchanged, Season Pass Holders will not need to make a reservation before visiting. We will now automatically reserve daily capacity for our Season Pass Holder family so you’ll have the flexibility to visit whenever you choose. If you have already made a reservation, you do not need to cancel or take any action. Don’t forget, Hersheypark® and the all-new Hershey’s ChocolatetownSM are now open for fun, thrills, and sweet memories. Before your first visit, please carefully review our enhanced safety measures and protocols. Thank you for helping us keep Hersheypark Happy and Healthy. P.S. We can’t wait to see you!" I guess they can make this change because attendance has not been what they were probably expecting. Queue Times is showing a 5 - 15 minute wait for almost everything right now, even with the reduced capacities.
  13. The park replied to someone's message on Facebook stating Storm Runner is closed because necessary maintenance was delayed due to impact of the virus.
  14. I agree about the park doing a great job having enough staff. My last 2 visits were the Tuesday after Labor Day and Veteran's Day. I was impressed that only 2 or 3 rides were closed in the entire park both times when I would have expected a lot more to be closed, especially on a Monday in November when Jackson and some other NJ schools were in session that day.
  15. I’m having trouble linking to it but on their Facebook page, the calendar shows the earliest they could open is July 3rd
  16. Magic Mountain sent Great Adventure Riddler's Revenge third train so Green Lantern could run 3 trains. Great Adventure sent it back to Magic Mountain after a few years since it wasn't really needed and I think so Riddler's Revenge wouldn't be forced to run 1 train while the other train was being refurbished each year.
  17. There was a 2nd temporary entrance used for Christmas Candylane. The entrance was between The Claw and Fahrenheit.
  18. sooperdooperlooper at the end of December.
  19. It looks like Cedar Fair parks aren't planning on opening before July 1st. I looked at Fast Lane for Cedar Point, Kings Island, Carowinds, Kings Dominon and Dorney and that is the first day that Fast Lane is available for purchase. As of a day or two ago, Dorney was selling Fast Lane starting May 15th (I was frequently checking to get an idea of when they are thinking they might open).
  20. One of those October weekends (and that last weekend in April) is for park buyouts, the other October weekend is for the Antique Auto show that uses the entire parking lot.
  21. https://stories.hersheypa.com/covid-19-impact-across-hershey-entertainment--resorts/ Springtime in the Park is cancelled. Now opening day is May 1st.
  22. It will be interesting to see how much a locker costs, if it will cost more than the $50 Dorney charges for the jumbo size on a Friday - Sunday (most expensive price I have seen at any park/water park).
  23. Definitely Great Adventure Hersheypark Dorney Park Knoebels Maybe Legoland NY Six Flags New England
  24. I feel the same way, I was interested in visiting the park but since I would likely be going alone, I don't feel like paying $50+ and constantly be stopped by security for no reason or asking to show ID just for being there. I won't go until I hear that this stops happening. It's one thing if someone is doing something suspicious but to stop someone just because they are alone at a park is ridiculous.
  25. Queue Times has Justice League at a 110 minute wait. I know it's a very warm Saturday in December but I never thought I'd see an almost 2 hour wait for any ride during HITP.
