  1. New signs with the opening are posted. The train is also in the station (maybe it's been there but I never noticed it before).
  2. Sheikra at BGT today. It was a little strange to be riding a coaster in late January and not being on vacation.
  3. Montu reopens the 18th or 19th. Sheikra is also closed the entire month of February. Kumba’s belts are shorter than Montu and Sheikra. Cheetah Hunt also has shorter belts than other rides with the same restraints like Kingda Ka.
  4. Yeah passes used to be a lot more expensive. I remember getting my first Great Adventure pass in 2008 and paying $120 ($60 for the pass and $60 for a parking pass) and that didn’t include Hurricane Harbor compared to my 2020/2021 pass that was $70 with parking and the water park included.
  5. Remy's Ratatouille Adventure is switching from a virtual queue to a standby line https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2022/01/scurry-into-standby-at-remys-ratatouille-adventure-at-epcot/ I'm glad to see the virtual queue is gone. I did not like waking up at 6:45 am with the chance of getting early boarding group when I wasn't going to Epcot until later in the day.
  6. Arcades, especially the ones at Hersheypark. Up until the end of 2019, they had the ticket payouts a lot higher than other arcades and it was possible to win tickets for prizes for less than their retail cost. I also liked that they had prizes that were once sold as souvenirs in their shops like glasses with the Hersheypark logo on them as well as MLB, NBA, NHL and NFL themed items. Their video arcade game selection was also great with a lot of older games you don't see to much anymore.
  7. I'm looking forward to Typhoon Lagoon reopening since I haven't been there in 5 years. I was thinking they were possibly going to keep both water parks closed all winter with how low crowds have been at Blizzard Beach. Even with it around 80 degrees yesterday and the resort so crowded, Blizzard Beach was empty. The longest wait was 10 minutes for Downhill Double Dipper.
  8. Magic Kingdom EPCOT Hollywood Studios Animal Kingdom Sea World Orlando Busch Gardens Tampa Fun Spot Orlando and Kissimmee I don’t have any trips planned since these are all now local parks but probably will go to they Disney parks around once a week when my pass isn’t blocked out, Sea World around once a month, the Fun Spot parks once every few weeks and Busch Gardens around 3 times a month.
  9. I was there earlier this year when it did sell out (a Sunday during the summer) and seen reports on other busy days like Spring Break when it sells out as well.
  10. I'm looking forward to it reopening (and hoping they allow single riders). It takes so much time to walk from Cheetah Hunt/Montu to Sheikra.
  11. Harry Potter and The Escape from Gringotts currently has a 285 minute posted wait. Seeing wait times like that makes me appreciate Sea World’s waits yesterday where Mako was 10 minutes in the middle of the day.
  12. It's really needed. Until BGT became my home park (last visit was 2012 before this year), I didn't realize how few flats and non coaster rides are in the park. On my trip a week and a half ago, the log flume was closed for annual maintenance and Falcon's Fury was closed all day. That left the carousel, train, bumper cars and rapids as the only non coaster rides running in the entire park.
  13. Dorney changed their rapids ride to be like that a few years ago. Instead of people sitting on raised chairs throughout the ride there is one person near the lift in a building watching all the screens and a recording every minute or so repeating safety warnings throughout the ride.
  14. The 1 exception for that is the Platinum Pass purchased at a Florida park, those perks do work in all the parks in the state. I bought my Platinum Pass at BGT and can use my 1 free daily Quick Queue or bring a friend free tickets at Sea World, Adventure Island and Aquatica.
  15. Six Flags has been charging for the mazes and trails for a while. I have had a Great Adventure season pass since 2008 and even back then there was an extra charge (although back then you could pay a few dollars for just 1 trail).
  16. Prices are as low as they get now and usually go up after Halloween. A Full Size pass is $164.25, King Size is $209.25. There is also Bite Size for $139.50 but I don't recommend that one as it doesn't have free parking or other perks. I like the King Size pass because I thought the extra $45 was worth it for the drink cup and hot drinks for Candylane plus the 2 bring a friend free tickets.
  17. There is an Antique Auto Show that weekend that uses the entire parking lot for the park.
  18. I would think they would make an exception over medical bags. I know at other parks like Great Adventure they allow those bags to get a tag so ride operators know they can be brought in line or left in the station of a ride when it normally isn’t allowed.
  19. I'm not sure how new this change is but I was looking at Adventure Island's hours and saw they are now open year round. Last time I looked at their calendar a few weeks ago, closing day was in the middle of November. https://adventureisland.com/park-info/water-park-hours/ I'm glad I now won't have to go to Orlando any time I want to go to a water park over the winter although I still want to try Aquatica.
  20. 15 years later and I'm still annoyed when I think of all the things done to the park by RedZone. They had rides SBNO like Houdini, Tango and kids rides and then over the 2006 - 2007 offseason the removal of Movietown Water Effect, Freefall, the 2nd log flume and I think another ride or two. Removing the safari included with admission for day tickets and seriously considering a no re-entry policy (it was on their website) but they got so many complaints they decided against it. I was so happy to see them gone.
  21. Cobra's Curse about 3 hours ago.
  22. Generally not for the day unless it is really inexpensive but I am prepared to buy it if I am at a park I know I won't be getting back to anytime soon. I normally try instead to have a strategy to ride everything I want without it. When Dorney was my home park, I did buy the All Season Fast Lane Plus every year because it was so cheap ($99 a year at first and then $125) because I used it in the water park where it saved a lot of time and it provided unlimited instant or almost instant access to slides that could have up to an hour wait some days.
