  1. Wow, that is comparable to Saturday Fright Fest level crowds. If this keeps up, they are going to need to bring out the old Glow in the Park parade green trash cans and rope that they used for temporary overflow queues in September and October.
  2. I have been to the park every year during Spring Break since 2008 and never saw the crowds reported to be so bad. According to CoasterQueue, Nitro and Joker are each 1 hour and 40 minutes. I think the whole week will be bad. Thursday has a large group with thousands of people visiting in addition to it being the first day of Spring Break for schools that only get Thrusday - Monday off. Good Friday and the day before Easter are usually bad too. I was hoping Monday would be less crowded next week with Philadelphia schools back in session but NYC and Jackson still are on Spring Break and was considering going tomorrow but decided against it because even if it was half as crowded as today, I don't feel like dealing with 45+ minute lines when I can go next month on a weekday and get walk ons.
  3. It should be a little more crowded during the day with more school groups but probably not much worse. I went to the park on a Friday in June in 2014 before schools let out and got 21 rides in from 4:15 to 9:00 without Flash Pass.
  4. Jackson schools are in session until the week after that. Philadelphia and NYC schools usually are finished towards the end of June.
  5. The advantage of going on an 8 pm closing day is that crowds should be lower especially by 4 or 5 when the school groups leave. Some of my favorite days of the season to visit are on weekdays in May and June while schools are still in session (except on days when the park closes at 6) since during the day lines aren't too bad and those last few hours should be almost all walk ons.
  6. I skipped it last year because I didn't feel like waiting 30 minutes for a boomerang. I hope I don't get the chance to ride it next year at Dorney.
  7. All rides should be open except Justice League and the water rides. I would avoid the 15th if the weather is good since the day before Easter is usually crowded.
  8. The only events on that Friday are Physics Day and Music In The Parks but it still shouldn't be too crowded. The schools leave by around 4 to 5 and those final few hours should be walk ons the entire time. I didn't see anything scheduled for Saturday except a teachers workshop and that probably won't effect crowds.
  9. Yes, I bought it last year at Dorney (it was great for Wildwater Kingdom). I either had my season pass scanned at the Fast Lane booth near the entrance or Guest Services if the booth was closed. I got a new wristband each trip because they changed the color of the band and the ride printed on the band so people can't re-use old bands.
  10. I like the Chickie's and Pete's near Sea Dragon since that one is on the season dining pass. The area by Stinger also has a Haunt building although with all the new Haunt building locations, I don't think losing 1 would be that bad.
  11. They should allow you to ride with a group of 2 if the others don't mind sharing the raft. Last year I only tried to ride Aquablast once as a single rider and there happened to be another single rider near the loading area so we both rode in the same raft. Up until maybe 5 or 6 years ago you used to be allowed to ride alone but I guess they changed it because of the long lines it gets. Everything else in the waterpark except Cascade and Aquablast is single rider only (Cascade can be single or double riders).

  15. I remember a picture posted from last year during Fright Fest where not only was the whole queue filled, the overflow queue they set up with ropes and the Glow in the Park parade route trashcans was also full and the line was almost to there area where you lock up items.
  16. Although it wasn't as crowded as last Saturday, there were still a lot of people in the park today. Other than Superman and the Skyway, I don't think anything was more than 20 minutes. Food lines were much better today as well with more windows open. I only waited 10 minutes to get dinner and a few minutes for a snack on the way out of the park. Operations were really good too. Batman was dispatching trains ridiculously fast, when I was on the lift hill of Nitro there was a Batman train getting to the brake run and by the time the Nitro train got to the final hills, another Batman train was getting to the brake run. Even though Superman only had 2 people checking restraints compared to 4 last week, they were almost running to check the restraints.
  17. 2 out of 3 parks changed since my first post in this thread: Dorney Park, 1 hour 10 minutes Knoebels, 1 hour 20 minutes Hersheypark, 1 hour 50 minutes
  18. sooperdooperlooper at Hersheypark
  19. Nitro at Great Adventure a week ago.
  20. Dorney Park 1. Talon 2. Steel Force 3. Hydra 4. Possessed 5. Thunderhawk 6. Wild Mouse 7. Stinger
  21. I think it is supposed to open in Late Spring so probably Memorial Day weekend.
  22. There is no separate for entrance for early entry, sometimes they don't even offer it and you only can enter 10 minutes early with no rides open early. If the arcade by the tea cups is open, you can cut through there to avoid going through the boardwalk. Green Lantern and Joker have single rider lines but both aren't great since they don't start until towards the end of the queue and if the line is long, won't save much time. Zumanjaro's single rider line is better as it starts at the entrance. Green Lantern's single rider line is closed often later in the year too, I don't think it was open at all during November and December last year.
  23. It's also a little rough from the concrete floor and the grooves in the floor from where the wheel run and the annoying lap bars that you have to wait for a ride operator to release. I still ride the Whip when I am at the park and there is no line but the Mangels versions are so much better.
  24. Ocean City's Flitzer along with the Miler Wild Mouse and City Jet at Gillian's all didn't have seatbelts until the accident on the Zamperla Wild Mouse at Gillian's in 1999. It was fun to ride a coadter without any restraints.
  25. Dorney Park this weekend or next weekend depending on the weather.
