  1. Is that me you're talking about? I posted a similar turn on their Facebook and THEY LIKED IT (literally). Coicidence? I think NOT. (that's a joke, and as CP Maverick said, there may have been many designs of this before mine) It will be a wood/steel hybrid structure. It will be steel only, see this blueprint: (Park's Instagram) Spot the sparse footers for the lift and the drop.
  2. Was your research looking at the pic above the statement?
  3. It's looking great, isn't it? Source I still can't get my head around how it's taller than any other gyro drop towers, especially KI's and KD's. To me, those Intamin still look taller, but in fact, aren't.
  4. Thriller have the most unorthodox loops ever:
  5. I don't think they started repainting only when the annoucement was made. I actually don't think these rails were even been painted mustard and ketchup at any point (someone see them in those colors?). I actually think Robb's version is the most probable. They wanted to do that since the beginning (since May 2015, perhaps?) but had trouble with the IP so they had a backup plan.
  6. ^ Dang you're right! I forgot Mack actually started the business by doing wooden coasters (well, because steel coasters weren't a thing yet, but still ): Sadly, nowaday none of them is still standing.
  7. I came across a patent of a weird ride. So in the first place, we're all getting attached to a strange mushroom-looking thing... Your cables are attached to what looks like a plane wing (7), and underneath those are huge fans... Once the fans starts rotating, it creates an air flow that will lift your wing, and thus makes you "fly". It looks like a weird Alien ritual. Ok since it has no name on the patent, I shall name it the Weird Alien ritual Ride
  8. Flying Saucer was a really interesting attraction:
  9. I like both having my foot on a floor, or be high up in the air. I get what you mean AJ, and now that I think about it, yeah it's quite frustrating. But either way, the pro of having the feet in the air is that it reduces the vibrations, as you are less in contact with the train. If that makes sense. We said nothing.
  10. ^ For a second I thought testings had begun.
  11. As CoasterMac305 pointed out on another board forum, the seats look like the ones on the Polercoaster:
  12. I have no idea. By the way (about the Hulk video) how come they have tested launches of 1g, 2g... 3g, 4g and... 5g?! Is that even possible?
  13. I see headrests also. Yep, .
  14. Coaster-Lab. He said it will be "a little less than 1.9". It's going to be insane!
  15. ^ Thanks for the infos! The translation was pretty much needed, yes. Taron will have launches around 1.8g. Since a few months I'm betting on a motocoaster-kind of, sit-astride trains (lots of turns, "lack" of airtime...). Can't wait to see them!
  16. Exactly, though they released some footage of the Hammerhead guy animatronic, and the scene he would be in:
  17. ^ Nah, this one is an old patent and the Shanghai ride won't be using that. For the better I guess, a row of boat is really appealing to be. I'm a free pirate!
  18. Wow, awesome! It's nice to see tires (from manufacturer Trelleborg, the more you know) on the return spike as well, as the original model tends to have a sluggish backward return trip (at least it seems so on videos).
  19. California Screamin' is a steel coaster themed as a classic pier wooden coaster. Only the loop and some hidden parts are left as a traditional coaster, but the structure itself is quite an extensive theming on its own already.
  20. It also does imply a starry night sky. I'd be cautious about such a concept art. By the way, as it has already happened to Air before, what happens when the ride get stuck for a long moment and you have your VR headset on?
  21. Does it goes under the drop of River Quest as expected? Between the lift tower and the main layout.
  22. Lightning it up wouldn't help during the day. And yeah, they might add some things (see the supports behind the track), but all their others major coasters are either build into a mountain or indoor, for a reason.
  23. ^ Yeah, that. Plus, seeing that much bare coaster track up in the air, plus their supports, is quite unusual and "disappointing" for a Disney park. The rest of the park really looks fantastic, it's just the Tomorrowland section that is a bit of a letdown in my opinion, design-wise. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty and will be a t®on of fun I'm sure, but it looks like a big fancy modern mall and will be outdated in no time.
