Might I suggest the Brevard Zoo? It's gone through a lot of renovations in the past few years, and it's a really nice little park. (Plus it's got a train, so... there's that.)

Welcome to another exciting installment of my trip reports, made more exciting by the fact you didn't pay for it. Last weekend, I hit up Busch Gardens, Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Magic Kingdom with anywhere from 3 to 8 crazy TPR members, including but not limited to Carlos who drove over 400 miles to make this happen, Derek (DerekRx), Renee (nay), Jake (Jakizle), Colin (colincoon) and/or Adam (jedimaster1227). And it was awesome. Enjoy. After crossing the state early Saturday, we hit Cigar City Brewing in Tampa as a meet-up point. (Having never met Derek in real life at this point, I figured it was as appropriate a place as any.) As you can see, they were rather adamant on the alcohol policy; no one wants to be called a lunkhead in good company. The six(?) of us got a nice little tour of the microbrewery. Being locked in the freezer was just like being back in Canada, with almost as much beer. Ah, there we go. We ended up at the park around 3 or so due to a late (albeit fantastic) lunch at Peg's Cantina in Gulfport. My first and only time to BGT was back in 2006, I believe, even though I'm on this side of the state at least twice a year. Needless to say, it was good to be back. I'll get to you later, sexy Intamin goodness! Now here's what pretty much everyone came to ride. I'd only been on Gwazi once, and from what I remember it actually wasn't that bad to me. (Granted, my yardsticks to go by are Mean Streak, Spinebuster and a few other choice woodies, so take that with a grain of salt.) And I've gotta say, the new trains were AWESOME. I was really glad to see for myself that Millennium Flyers are all they're cracked up to be. I could've fallen asleep in the seat, it was so comfortable. Exquisite lift hill. Welcome to Cameronland! And possibly "green". 10 seconds after this was taken, I heard, "Hey, honey, are they building a new roller coaster?" #shitmyGPsays I can haz humanburger? I can haz everything the light touches? [/rapierwit] Well, I'm sure that whatever animal was in here, it put in a good enough work week to take the day off. Female meekrat is apparently caught in an abusive relationship with demonic meekrat. (And no, according to Jake, those weren't typos.) While Montu happened to be closed when we walked over there, we did manage to get a Jeff Johnson credit that Jeff himself probably operated at some point in history! Ha-ha! He's old, you see. While I've only spent two days ever at the park -- one of them being last Saturday -- I was really surprised at how forceful and smooth Kumba was. For the record, both my rides were in the very back, and for reasons unknown, B&M's on the whole haven't treated my head well in the past.

Funny you should mention that; that Taco Bell had the oddest hours I'd ever seen. Granted, it was Thanksgiving weekend, but I'm talking open for three hours, closed, then open for four with drive-thru open for six, all in the same day.

My friend has a townhouse just behind ex-Splendid China, and we went here over Thanksgiving... and yes, it's about as odd of a shopping experience as you've described. It took me until I got the receipt to realize it's actually a front for Winn-Dixie, and what's worse, it took me until just now to realize it's Chinese-themed because of its proximity to the former attraction. /Scarier still is driving past Splendid China and seeing decaying palaces et al.

Liked the old header a bit better for the main words (i.e. no yellow outline, despite it being bolder this way), and I'd keep the tagline if, like many have said so far, the "roller coasters" was dropped due to sentence flow. EDIT: ^^I really like that idea of multiple banner slogans!
