Must be down again. It’s been listed as closed so far all day today.

Not anymore it’s not. Broke down at the base of the lift hill. They evaced the train.

They just replaced it in September. We were there, and it was down the entire day. You could see the new (or old) cable laying next to the launch track from Zumanjaro.

Apparently it has now been stuck on the lift since mid-afternoon yesterday. (Saw some reports of it online.) Just hopped on the webcam... Train is still stuck on the lift. EDIT: Just had to pull up the webcams. Look like gatekeeper is finally off the lift hill. And it just rolled out of the station for testing!!

Copperhead Strike a few days ago. Such a fun ride. That jojo roll is amazing!!!

QUESTION!! (as I don't follow this park very close at all) Do we know the progress of the new coaster?? Looking at visiting the park for the first time next month, and really hoping it's going to be open by then!

Outlaw Run! We we’re the only two on the train! Such a fun, and memorable experience.

Outlaw Run. we were the only two on the train. Probably the best roller coaster experience ever... since it was just us on a zen ride.

It’s not even a “real” roller coaster. It’s a powered thingy.

Apparently Gatekeeper's chain has snapped again. Seen photos of it floating around social media.

It’s early, very early, in the season.... Water at most water parks is insanely cold right now. There hasn’t been enough warm days to warm the water up.

Mako! For sure! Or Kraken possibly. Which park do you plan to visit first?? This might help us give better advice.

Hopefully nothing happens with Fury!! We have our first visit to Carowinds next month!

Check out the VIP tours at CP. They are 100% worth the cost, and when you look at everything that’s included it’s not really a “bad” value. The longest you’ll ever end up waiting is a minute or two. With as busy as CP gets, it’s almost the only way it makes the park worth doing....

Such amazing photos!! I’m so sad to see Firehawk gone. It was such a great ride!! Backlot stunt coaster is such an underrated coaster. That upwards helix is intense!! keep up the posts! I love them!

TBH, I wish they would take out the old track. It looks awkward just sitting there.

I think the main reason why people think it could be a "challenging location" is aside from MF island, the petting zoo thingy, and the Thunder Canyon area there's not a ton of park space where they wouldn't be building over and around other attractions... So maybe that's where the "challenging location" part comes from trying to weave the new record breaking coaster in and out, and above and below existing attractions?? I'm thinking along the lines of a more spread out Grona Lund?? Idk. . . I'm probably wrong. Just trying to help justify the thought process of some people
