  1. Maybe it is just me, but I really don't see the need for Dollywood to give out free meal vouchers, or free soda just because there are long lines at a meal place. . . I don't get the whole "The park needs to apologize for being busy" mentality. It's a theme park... People know going to a theme park that they are going to be waiting in line for things. Everything from the rides, to the restaurants. Waiting in lines is part of what goes on at theme parks, and people know that. (or at least they should know that.) I don't think a park needs to give things away as a way to "apologize" for being busy. Just because a park is busy doesn't mean "give me free stuff" should be what people expect. I guess I'm just old school, but when we were at SDC and we waited 45 minutes for food the park employee simply said "I apologize for the long wait, but the park is really busy today and turns out, everyone is hungry!" (They said jokingly, yet sincerely.) Just the fact that they took the time to apologize and tried to lighten the moment was enough for me. I didn't get all angry and start expecting free stuff.
  2. I never realized how beautiful the location was for this coaster. Looks like it is in an awesome setting with the water nearby. Cant wait to see this thing testing! Also, how the hell does El Toro valley?! That coaster seems to always be flying into the brake run!! Anywho, Thanks for the photos, and the report!
  3. That blue train looks SO good on the red track!!
  4. My question is... Who takes their own life at WDW?! Isn't it suppose to be "The Happiest Place On Earth?" Anyway, sad news.
  5. This. The rides are amazing!! They provide a different ride experience every time. Flying face first towards the ground and then flipping over to be flying towards the sky a split second later is awesome. I was sad to hear that Cedar Point was removing theirs, because it really was an awesome ride. Rode it at least 50 times.
  6. LOVE the trains! The colors are really bright! I think I prefer the blue train, but that's just me! Can't wait to see this coaster up and running!
  7. You know it's been a long off season when people start complaining about the name "Valravn."
  8. Or, maybe the park just doesn't take Faceboook complaints all that seriously. . . I mean honestly... It's Facebook. If it they were legitimate complaints, then the person complaining could easily call, or email the park to have the issue addressed. You're afraid that long lines are becoming a thing at Dollywood?? If anything you should be GLAD that the park is developing long lines. That means that the park is busy, which is good for business. Long lines (typically) mean more guest in the park, which means more money for the park, which means the park can then use some of the money for newer additions.
  9. I spy with my little eyes... A Valravn control panel!
  10. I'm starting to think a wing-coaster would be a great fit for the park. It's something more unique than anything they already have, it's (for the most part) family friendly, and it could be an awesome terrain hugging wing coaster providing some awesome low to the ground, slow, in line twist.
  11. Looking so good!!! Can't wait to see this coaster finished!! The colors look so good!
  12. The trains look so good!!! Can't wait to see them hanging over the edge of that massive vertical drop!!
  13. Well it had to be moved because something a little more important is going to go there. Just saying. Oh and whomever said that they'd like an inverted at the park may be getting their wish soon as that's the big rumor going around backstage regarding the 2017 coaster. Over in Grand Expo it sounds like Well, B&M did make that family invert that looked a lot like a Vekoma over in Asia. They have a launch system. So, I'm going with launched family invert. Might as well add aquatrax to that Why would SDC add ANOTHER launched coaster when they have Powder keg?? Obviously I know that a park can have more than one launched coaster, but given how "small" SDC's coaster lineup is, I really can't see them doing another launched coaster yet. I feel like they need something different than the coasters they already have.
  14. Looks to me like he's just concentrating. That is what I was thinking. He's really just focused on the job at hand. Maybe he just has a "resting b!tch face."
  15. WOW! That doesn't even look like it would have a roller coaster inside. The theming is AMAZING. This gives Disney a run for its money. The trains look amazing!! The amount of detail in this project is astounding.
  16. I thought this was the Cedar Point thread there for a second.
  17. ^ I know, I was clarifying for those who missed the joke.
