The website is finally back up and running. It's has several artistic renditions of what the park will look like. Several attractions can be seen. Also their choice of real photos on the main page are pretty interesting. I think in the 3rd picture they are using El Toro as a picture, hopefully this has is something of a teaser. Anyways, please check it out. Glad they removed the Boomerang Picture. I didn't want that to be a launch ride, so un-original. http://grandtx.com/ P.s. if that wasn't El Toro, what was it?

^Even though RMC is slowly becoming my favorite Roller Coaster Manufacturer, I personally wouldn't want one just yet. I haven't ridden Outlaw run, but i have ridden both NTAG and IRat and i personally would rather have a ride like El Toro. Ill take that speed and hills any day over overbank and inversions. The second wooden could be RMC but the first needs to be a real wooden. As for the looping steel ride, I really wonder what it could be. So happy to hear this park is progressing. 3 Roller Coasters, even if one if a kiddie coaster, I will still be there opening day to ride over and over again.

What is the best floorless?

Superman Krypton Coaster. The setting along the canyon wall is awesome and that first loop is the 2nd tallest in the world. How can you beat that? -

Never rode it, was too much of a chicken to ride it as a kid. When i finally realized I loved roller coasters, it was too late. -
My entire visit to SFA last month was on a day with on and off light drizzle. Rode every ride there though. When I rode Superman it was raining the hardest, not a downpour but a steady rain fall. You could definitely feel the rain drops hitting you on the ride. Very cool that they didn't close the whole park, cause there were only like 300 people total, every ride was a walk on.

And even more exaggerated example is Intimidator at Carowinds. It only has a single helix between the MBCR and the final brakes. Don't forget the dip right before the helix, but i completely agree, the ride just shouldn't have a MCBR, its pointless.

Texas Cyclone, XLR-8, The Viper, hell I even miss Ultra Twister. If I had to pick just 1, no questions asked, it'd be the Texas Cyclone. I miss you Astroworld -
Now I have yet to ride a Dive Machine or a wing rider put i can rank the other 6. 1. Inverts (my favorite type period) 2. Floorless 3. Sit down loopers 4. Hypers 5. Stand-up 6. Flying I'm sorry, I rode Nitro, Intimidator at Carowinds, and Goliath at SFOG and I personally did not like them. Maybe it's just because I compare them to Titan at SFOT, but I just don't think they come close. Nitro was the best but that's just because it doesn't trim itself. Goliath has a major trim after the downward helix that seems to slow the ride by 10 mph or more. You would think the company would have designed the ride to not need those in the first place. Sorry if I upset anyone, Titan just hands down beats any B&M ride to date. That being said, Superman Krypton Coaster is an amazing ride and the Batman clones poop all over Vekoma SLC's

This is ture, but the initial tophat inversion is pretty forceful after the launch. -

Would it creep through the Inverted Tophat or speed through like Mr. Freeze? -

^I agree, that would be they way it would be done. But it would be cool if you slowly went through the tophat, just hanging upside down for that split second, where Mr. Freeze is pretty good about keeping you in your seat through the top hat. Some type of motor would have to make sure it never stalls though. -

And if it stalls... Inverted top hats exist (see: Mr. Freeze and the Chillers from SFGAdv), and it isn't a problem - and they make it over twice each go-around. The only reason the accelerators stall is because their launched to a speed that's just fast enough to crest the top, otherwise it'd be way uncomfortable. You can apply a lot more positive Gs to the body than you can negative, so inverted top hats are fine to be taken at higher speeds that don't allow the train to stall. My assumption would be he's thinking about just an inside tophat that only goes through once then continues along some path. The same rules as all accelerators would then apply, just enough to clear the hill. Mr. Freeze has the Lim motors to push it up the spike so it has enough speed to clear the track in reverse. If the only motor was the launch, I highly doubt the ride would ever make it back around. As for the chiller though, it must have been launched fast enough to make it forward then through the tack in reverse, I don't think they had additional Lim's, I may be mistaken. I believes he's imagining TTD or Kingda Ka with an inside top hat. **Edit** I see now that this is not what he was referring to. Nonetheless, I've always wanted to see something like TTD with an inside tophat built. -

I try and visit this park at least once a year. I've honestly never had a bad experience there, though one time I took a vacation and Titan was down the entire time. When I went last year the first day I visited NTG was not working due to something on the lift hill not working. I stood in line for 45 minutes and while everyone else left, me and the 3 kids stayed and started talking to the ride ops. I finally decided to go check out the other rides but when I came back about 3 hours later, NTG sill wasn't open but they let the kids up on the station platform to chill with them. The ride ops running that day were amazing. The kids even said I was with them so I got to spend the following 3 hours until it got fixed on the station with the ride ops. I'm sure that helped their day go by quickly but I don't know if i've met nicer people. They let the kids and myself ride it back to back for the last 30 minutes of the park being open because all the kids did was wait there all day to ride it. This was before the announcements about the parks future and I got good word on what might happen, boomerang being removed and getting the sky screamer and that next year will most likely be the expansion of Gotham City. I'm sorry that you all had a poor experience. I love SFOT and it has two of my favorite rides. Hopefully it will turn around after the bad word starts settling down. -

And if it stalls... Roller Coasters have been stuck upside down before. I would assume there would have to be some type of LIM or motor for that reason that would only activate if it sensed the ride was going only 2 mph through the inversion. Besides how many times have the conditions been so perfect for it to occur. Then again, 1 time may be too many for any american park to do... China on the other hand
