Based on some advice here, I just put a hold on Fable Anniversary. Based on the reviews, I'm really looking forward to it!

We've finally been back to our normal winter this week: Lows in the mid 30s, highs in the mid 50s. -

That second shot is amazing! I am definitely taking a TPR Japan trip in the future. -
You should check out the Reel Big Fish version of it. If you love the original you may not appreciate it but I happen to like both.

Excellent description of Hurler. Turns 1 and 2 always shuffled you to death. If those can be addressed long term, Hurler is actually a good coaster. I have never loved it, though, and not sure that it will ever cross the line for me and become a great coaster. Time will tell. -
Disney Ride Op Simulators

Thanks for bumping this thread. These look like a lot of fun. I'm ignoring it for now or I won't get anything done the rest of the day. -
So, I'm an idiot... I must have been thinking of Taco Bueno since I saw a bunch of them during my travels in the past year. We had one here that didn't even last six months and it is now a Japanese restaurant. It was ok from what I recall. I just happened to look them up and now I remember, it was actually Taco Mac that has come highly recommended to me. It's a Sports Grill but aside from their wings they have a decent menu with a variety of Mexican choices. They are only located in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Georgia. If anybody here has been to one, I am interested in hearing your thoughts. I see they have a different selection of 'Beer of the Month.' That alone should get me there...

That looks like a great park! Hopefully you have to pay before you can have bird contact...

They continue to move forward with selling Conneaut Lake Park at a tax sale. I wonder what this means for the park long term. Source -
Best Compact Coasters
arby replied to pgathriller's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My definition of 'compact' apparently differs from some. While I have some ideas of what may be better coasters out there, I am only choosing from those I've experienced personally. I think the best compact coaster I have been on is a Gerstlauer Spinning Coaster, i.e. Pandemonium. A lot of compact coasters are a lot of fun but the Gerstlauer had more forces to them than most other compacts. -

Click here Since I'm afraid of heights, this will be terrifying. I'll try it, though, just because it's there. -
^ & ^^Wow! I still use DOS commands almost daily but not in a major way. There are some great commands that do exactly what you need with no overhead like ping, tracert, telnet, etc. IE6???

Getting taxes ready really sucks. It's taking away from my TPR time.

People are still using COM+ in 2014???

After I thought about this topic a bit, it made me think: people probably thought at one time that it would be crazy to essentially stick a steel I-beam on top of a wooden coaster. It would ruin the ride and then what would it be? Nobody would want it. Often outside the box thinking comes up with some crazy ideas that end up being brilliant. I'm no engineer and not saying it would work, but with the price of steel these days and thinking outside of the box, It might be a lot cheaper to devise a way to attach a secondary track to the existing track that would reprofile the transitions and devise a train to work on these new tracks. Some genius engineer could come up with some variation of that to blow our minds - you never know. So back to the original topic. I'd like to see some of these long arrows get that treatment and hang around for some time. Anaconda is one that comes to mind. It actually has a nice setting and a decent layout, if only it could transition smoother.

Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
arby replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've never had any head banging issues on any B&M Inverts. I love these new restraints! One thing I hate about the old trains is that you usually end up touching the person next to you since you're so close. There are many times I don't want any part of my body touching the person beside. me. These new trains look like you can isolate yourself from rubbing against others... so my issue with the older trains is body rubbing, not head banging. -
It's what I like to call "Norwegian Drive-By" (Well, I heard it from Robin Williams, but it's still funny) That is hilarious. We actually watch a lot of the winter olympics. More of the sports interest us than with the summer olympics. My wife loves figure skating. Me, not so much. That's why I have other TVs in the house.

^yeah, I haven't been able to get on for over 2 hours. EDIT: It's back online. I ended up having to kill my game and restart it and was able to get in.
