Well it's not said and done officially that they're not running two trains. There just hasn't been any activity near the transfers. Most schools let out next week or the week after so attendance is going to pick up fast.

They did refurbish the second trains for RoS and Viper as they have been running the opposites this year. But no parts have shown up at all and I don't know how long it takes to set them up. I think that Motocoaster and Mind Eraser will run one train again. The least they should do is at least prepare the trains so they could move them on when they need them.

The second trains aren't even on the transfers yet. It's getting close to July too. I'm worried that the park isn't gonna hold true to its promise. 6 min dispatches are way to slow.

^^ RoS is running really good this year. I think that they took extra time to take care of it and prepare it for this season. The only complaint is wait times. Not because of crowds but an average of 6 min dispatches. Most crews in the park this year are very slow.

The park looks good so far. My suggestions are to work on the scenery a little, and try to fit in some rides better. For instance, I don't think the airleon fits in to well. But overall nice job so far. I'm looking forward to this park.

LIMs are a huge power drain and most parks would be turned away by the costs. Darien Lake already has power problems and should not even look into building a coaster larger than RoS. You don't need the tallest coaster to be the best. I would be satisfied with a Maverick type coaster or some sort of B&M creation seeing that DL doesn't have one yet. But in Herchend's case I would put my bets on Gerstlauer or RMC. Then again with Wild Eagle being a success B&M isn't ruled out.

Like I said the rumor sounds EXTREMELY false but I only shared because it came from an employee.

Now I heard a rumor today, and I'm not saying this is true or will happen by any means. This sounds extremely crazy but who knows. Today I overheard an operator by predator say that in the Cuda Falls space, they will be building "the tallest roller coaster like at Cedar Point". Now to me that sounds like a strata coaster like TTD. But this idea is extremely crazy and probably not true. The only reason why I'm posting this is because it came from a ride op and not just some crazy drunk in the park. We all know that the Yolocoaster idea started the same way, but I still find it hard to believe.

How are the 4d glasses distributed? Do you get them while boarding and return them at the end?

As cool as it is to see this project actually happening, it doesn't feel right. Colossus is just one of those iconic coasters that you can't see Magic Mountain without. I can never watch National Lampoon's Vacation the same way again.

My running joke last year was the sign said "We miss you already" because they knew people weren't coming back because of the horrible operations. The park seems to have cleaned up its act so far. They actually put an effort into sprucing up Galaxy Theater as well. If it's gonna stand, it mind as we'll not be an eyesore.

Think about how many people get drunk and arrested at concerts, but at the same time look how much money they make off of it. Besides isn't the park hosting a wine tasting event of some sorts this year?

The park already has a good selection of flats. Three areas that should be looked at more are the water park, the back of the park near Twister, and thrill rides. A coaster is well overdue, as it has been 15 years since a major one was added. Try finding any other park of similar size/situation that has such a huge drought. Of course there are probably others but it is a rare case. It would be best for the park if CNL would let it go already.

But they have been building new state of the art rides like Goliath and X Flight. I never said quality of rides, or attendance, etc. I meant size as in selection of rides. People most likely will get bored at the park if things aren't upgraded soon

The border crossings are less of a pain than people are putting them out to be. Just look how many canadian plates are in the Walden Galleria's parking lot. Should the park try to go into competition with big parks? No, but there's no reason why they can't make it up to a little smaller than SFGAm's size. Notice I said a little smaller. I don't think we would ever reach that many rides.

For Darien Lake, I would love to see the proposed RMC Lake Monster or another major coaster, but we will probably end up getting a show and or kiddie ride.

Rowdy's Ridge was added for that reason. Then Lakeside Boardwalk was another all around good area for everyone. I'm not trying to bash anyone's opinions but that's exactly what a forum is for. Expressing your opinions and commenting on others. But in the five year plan, the park should focus on every aspect of the spectrum. Lake Monster would be a good start as Predator is almost 25 years old and is just gonna keep getting worse.

If the park wants attendance they can only build upwards. They have enough room to do it. People aren't just angry with the service of the park, but the selection of rides is decreasing. Last year, the park did go down one ride with UFO out. In my opinion, as I've said before it shouldn't return either. If the park advertises an old ride, people won't come. But if they say "Look we have a new Giant Frisbee or any alike model" people will come. I know I rant about this every time the topic comes up, but it only makes sense. Cedar Point was once the size of Darien Lake, but they took a chance and kept building. Every problem has a solution.

Why must these crazy ideas only circulate on this thread? Why move kiddie land if it's already in a great shady spot. If we want the park to build a new big ride it should be in Cuda's area.

I didn't take pictures because another poster said that they would. If I would've known that they weren't going to do it, I would have gladly done it.

They are but there not the same as the chance version

The pad is still fully standing but this week they put a higher fence around it. The only way to see inside is from Viper, but nothing interesting is going on in there anyways.

The park would be better off without it. There's no need to keep pumping money into it after around 30 years of service. The pad is big enough to house a new ride such as the sidewinder idea.

From what I have heard, it was going under an "extensive restoration" but I also heard that they scrapped the idea due to a lack of parts. The park never gave a plain black and white answer.
