  1. FUCK YES! never been on an RMC but haven't heard anything but good things. Kingda Ka size Rocket Coaster that has Millennium Force stuck to the end (no chain on lift hill, obviously)
  2. Vekoma, because good Vekomas EXIST! RMC woodie or Intamin woodie?
  3. the only one I've been on is Mind Bender at SFOG, so it wins, reguardless of non existant 3rd loop
  4. Flight Deck coasters rethemed to Afterburn. RMC woodie or RMC hybrid?
  5. *facepalm* Seriously, you like the name "Flight Deck", well I think that name is just plan dumb. Why can't Cedar Fair rename all the former Top Gun coasters "Afterburn"? What he said. More bad names: New Texas Giant (we get that it's new, change the name back already) Mind Bender is a good name, but shouldn't have the space. Medusa Steel Coaster: most of the last few coaster renovations in the Six Flags chain (Mr Freeze Reverse Blast, Iron Rattler, X2, Bizzaro) where pretty good. this is just stupid. The Ultimate: Should just be Ultimate. Georgia Scorcher: Georgia Cyclone is a copy, this one has no excuse. Why not just "Scorcher"?) Backlot Stunt Coaster: cant think of any better ideas. I actually think Top Thrill Dragster is an OK name.
  6. Flight Deck. why didn't any of the other parks go with Afterburn? SooperDooperLooper is retarded. I don't mind reused names, but the fact that a Batman clone and a GIB use the name Goliath, which should be reserved for big coasters, makes me facepalm
  7. oops. I feel stupid now. it wasn't in the "your favorite" directory so I assumed it did not exist.
  8. I've been on 0 SLCs and 1 Boomerang (Carolina Cobra pre-new-trains), so I cant really generalize about the clone models, but going off of Ninja at SFOG, Vekoma is pretty good at dishing out the pain. However, the Dutchman model (ridden as Nighthawk) is awesome, and so are all of the Disney vekomas I have been on (R&RC and Everest, with SDMT a planned future credit)
  9. If the name is used for multiple coasters but works better for some than for others (ex: Goliath) than specify which one. Flight Deck (all of them): Why is Carowinds the only park that went with Afterburn? New Texas Giant: It's been 2 years, the new is no longer necessary. Do they think we would think they changed it back if they dropped the new? Dare Devil Dive Coaster: We know it's a coaster. (Dare Devil Dive on it's own is great, though) Fire Chaser Express: Once again, the last word is unnecessary, should have just gone with Fire Chaser SooperDooperLooper: Do I even need to say why?
  10. Oblivion at Alton Towers
  11. how is that a backfire? A shit coaster that doesn't cause major pain is better than a shit coaster that causes major pain
  12. All of the major parks in the US getting a Volare that doesn't even work What's worse than TOGO reforming and a buttload of parks getting their standups of death
  13. If you want Vekoma to die a painful death (by their own coasters) (also applies to TOGO) If you have ever bought a coaster related t-shirt (guilty) If you noticed that the Intimidator coaster train model was inaccurate, but wanted it anyway (guilty, but got the shirt instead) If you have argued over coaster stats If you have developed a "signature move" for on-ride photos If you have ever wanted (or tried) to sneak into a media day If you look for survey markers/footers when at a park rumored to get something new If you look for survey markers/footers when at a park that ISN'T rumored to get something new If you wonder why "that crane is by that coaster"
  14. Granted but they cancel the RMC woodies coming to the rest of their parks, all of which are different from each other and awesome I wish SFOG would tear down Ninja
  15. When they use the name for rides that aren't even that big (it works for hypers and the RMC of awesome, but not for the batman clone and the giant inverted boomerang) What's worse than the Screaming Squirrel model coming to the US, and all of the major parks installing them
  16. Goliath when the ride is big (fiesta Texas's batman clone and whatever park named their giant inverted boomerang Goliath are stupid, the hypers and the RMC are acceptable), but -Hawk when they aren't. New RMC woodie or new Intamin woodie?
  17. I for one, actually LIKE Hurler. A Outlaw Run/ SFGAd Goliath style RMC is something EVERY park needs (unless they already have one) though.
  18. my only complaint is the name, couldn't they have called it Steel Medusa?
  19. They should have removed Ninja, pissed and shitted on it's grave, and then built an awesome RMC woodie (complete with batshit insane inversions and ). Also, as someone who has been on Mind Bender MANY times, it has an MCBR as much as it has a 3rd inversion (which is to say, not at all)
  20. I was on Intimidator at Carowinds with a few of my friends on a band trip, and at the top of the lift hill, one of them said "so, ridden any good roller coasters lately ?"
  21. Wood: 3: Thunder Road at Carowinds (SC side, haven't ridden the NC side) 2: Scream Machine at SFOG 1: Hurler at Carowinds (yes, seriously. ) Steel: 5: Kraken at Sea World Orlando 4: Expedition Everest (wow, a Vekoma on a BEST list) 3: Intimidator at Carowinds (would be higher if it was a bit longer) 2: Mind Bender at SFOG (despite the extra inversion they always say it has, it still kicks ass in the best way possible) 1: Goliath at SFOG (Helix of Doom, Southern Style!)
  22. I'd say most of what I have said counts
  23. Wow, I just learned that too ! I though it was more of a 81° drop. RMC is crazy ! shh... you are giving them ideas!
  24. Hurler at Carowinds. is worth the bumpiness. It's not like it's a TOGO or anything.
  25. Pyrodonkey Boomerang or SLC?
