  1. I always judge rides on how smooth they are, and if they have a nice mix of solid airtime and high Gs (not just one or the other).
  2. I never have, but I really want to... They look really expensive tho
  3. I'd have to say BTR clones r my fav, with the zero g roll, helix & first corkscrew being my favorite elements.
  4. Just wondering, does anyone think coasters are better at night because its cooler out at that time and therefore less trims?... With all the people saying i305 (ride that's has a lot of trims added) I'm guessing that's why?
  5. Well, guess its too late to change the thread title, but if you have some f***ed up layouts that are worth mentioning, feel free to post them.
  6. Well, it seems obvious that China's economy is growing if they have money to burn on all these new rides
  7. Not sure if there's already a topic for this or not, but here it goes... What's the strangest/weirdest element you've encountered on a coaster? For me it's probably the double down into the breaks on Goliath at La Ronde in Montreal, as you don't usually see double downs on steel coasters.
  8. Leviathan at Canada's Wonderland seemed to be more intense at night (maybe less trims?), and also gave great views of the park and Toronto in the background all lit up.
  9. Well, it was never an issue for me.. Actually, a lot of my friends think it's cool, & some of them who are into photography & making vids have offered tohelp me with some montages/filming in the future when the fair comes to our town or if we go to a park soon.
  10. SLC lift hills and break runs sound quite interesting. Some of the newer ones having a distinct whirring noise to the lift instead of the click clack of the anti rollbacks. The break runs also sound kind of like machine guns, which is cool. Of course there's always The B&M roar, with older inverts seeming.to roar the most. Other cool ride sounding ride sounds that are worth mentioning include arrow lift hills, Huss enterprises spinning up, and the weird air raid siren sound of Chance Zippers.
  11. Intamin free fall towers are amazing... I always get that feeling that it'll stop just a bit too late, and it's the only ride that still scares me.... Not enough to stop me from riding tho . The ride also has great floater air. And now, saving the best for last... THE ZIPPER!... If only Chance made rides like this today.. The ride has everything.. From floater and ejector air, to grey out inducing Gs.. I remember getting a 10min non stop ride once, with the carny staring and stopping the ride to line my car up for an extra intense ride, and afterward I could barely walk straight.
  12. Intamin: N/A ... Never been on any large Intamin coasters (oh been on their free fall towers, which are awesome, & what I have named my screen name after) B&M: Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland... Found that it rattled more than anoy other b&m I've rode', & there are trims everywhere on the trip back. GCI: N/A... Never rode a GCI, but I'd love to one day. They all look awesome,
  13. Was talking to a friend from Toronto who was absolutely convinced that his home park, Canada's Wonderland (which already has a mega & giga) was getting a strata coaster this next season.. Couldn't convince him otherwise *facepalm*
