Toronto Coaster
Mr.Roller77 replied to gforce1994's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Ahh, the Flyer at the C.N.E. I rode this two or three times when I was a kid, I believe they put in a motor speedway where the coaster used to sit, if I'm not mistaken. -
As far as I'm concerned, an amusement park isn't complete unless it has some sort of dark ride, either a walk through, or a car ride, like a ghost train. My favorite of all time was the Laff in the Dark at Crystal Beach. Sadly, the ride was dismantled when the park closed in 1989. My favorite dark ride that is still running is the Haunted House at Knoebles Groves. I just love all of the surprises that pop out at you on these types of rides. Please, Darien Lake, put some kind of dark ride in the park, people will love it!

Nice new logo, but I'm more interested in the game itself. So far, I've just seen a steel looping coaster in the preview photos, but I'm really looking forward to building wood coasters with all sorts of banked turns and other elements. Once I buy the game, I'm going to do a re-creation of the defunct Crystal Beach Amusement Park! How long that will take me, I have no clue, but once the game comes out in the summer, I'll start on it right away!

Official RCT3 Help Thread
Mr.Roller77 replied to mcjaco's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
The second lift hill should be higher than the first. Also, give enough space for the coaster train to go past the second chain lift, and hesitate, before it goes through the ride backwards to the station. I've done this type of ride with a corkscrew style coaster, it does work, trust me. Just keep trying, and I'll know you'll get it right! -
This was way back when Magnum at Cedar Point opened for the first time. I really was scared out of my mind when I first got in line to ride. I delayed the ride for the first hour I was at Cedar Point- I went on Blue Streak first, then the mine ride, then Gemini, and then FINALLY, my father said, "Enough delays son, it's time to ride the big one!" Well, we did, and I'll NEVER forget it. Magnum XL-200 is not the biggest coaster in the world anymore, but when it first opened in 1989, it was the first Megacoaster, and it still is one of the very best!

Excuse me, but what is Northern Illinois doing in the Orange Bowl?? It's a complete joke, Florida State is going to beat their brains in! I would have rather seen a team like Oklahoma or Texas A&M face FS instead, that would be a much better game!

The Best Woodie under 75 feet Tall
Mr.Roller77 replied to MagnumForce's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
It doesn't exist anymore, but the Giant Coaster at Crystal Beach was a classic side-friction woodie that I will remember for the rest of my life. As for a small woodie that still exists, the Leap the Dips has to be my favorite. It's a one-of a kind coaster from the Turn of the century... not very thrilling, but still fun, especially for the kids!! -
After my favorite park in the whole world, Crystal Beach in Ontario, Canada, closed for good many years ago, my interest in Coaster riding has vanished. The Comet rolleroaster was my favorite when the park still existed, and I know they moved it to Great Escape in the Eastern part of New York, but it still isn't the same. When it was situated right next to Lake Erie, that made the Comet 100 times better. As for parks near me that are still open, I suppose Darien Lake's coasters are good, although I've only been on the Predator, since I never liked to go on coasters that go upside down. My other favorite woodies are the Jack Rabbit at Seabreeze Park in Rochester, and the Blue Streak at Caunneaut Lake, Pennsylvania.

Magnum XL-200 at Cedar Point. I distinctly remember how terrified I was going down that first drop. Also, it was the last coaster that I went on with my dear father, who passed away less than a year later. Against his doctor's advice, he went on the Magnum, despite having cronic breathing problems, but going on the Mega-coaster actually made him breath better during the ride!! Great memory!!

I'm curious if there will be career levels, just like in Rct3, where you'll be given a certain amount of money, and only a few rides to start out with, and then research rides and coasters to add to your park. I'm also wondering about dark rides, like a fun house walk-through, or a ghost train, if they'll be in the new game. I would also like to see a picnic area for guests, and perhaps some large sit down restaurants.. you know, a bunch of extra things that Rct3 doesn't have. Looking forward to buying the game next year!

Hello Everybody, I just joined this site today! I've been an avid amusement park and coaster fan for many years. I went on a lot of coasters when I was younger, but because of a recent heart problem, I no longer can ride on them. But I still love to watch coasters and, of course, build them on my computer game RCT3. I cannot wait until the new Theme Park Studio game arrives in 2013, the graphics look awesome, and I like the fact that you can make your own stations, and supports. I look forward to talking to the rest of you about coasters and parks!
