  1. As they probably should... Sorry, I just love Mega Lites. Same here! Mega-Lite is awesome!!!
  2. Finally we are here! Silver Dollar City was one of the park that I dreamed to go when I was younger. With Powder Keg’s opening, I started to search for information about the park but I can find very little things… Now that Outlaw Run is coming and people talked about how awesome their food are on the board, Silver Dollar City became my most anticipated park on the trip. After the trip, I can say SDC definitely gave me the best days of my life! This is my favorite park (probably my favorite place in this planet) with my NO.1 coaster Outlaw Run and my 3rd favorite steel coaster Powder Keg. Plus the coolest gift I’ve ever gotten--a piece of wood from Outlaw Run with the signature of all the amazing people who made this beautiful wonderland ! First time in my life, I started to focus on the things except for thrill rides. Just enjoying the atmosphere and trying out the delicious food made by their friendly employees, they made a feeling of being at home! I’ve seen quite a lot of families with kids around 3 years old and an aged around 80 years old just walking around the park and having a great time. Like how I posted on the trip board, I thought Six Flags Magic Mountain is a world class park before and I did not change my mind until I step into the park (Don’t judge me if you are a SFMM fan… ) Everything about the park completely change my taste of amusement parks! The park has a wonderful setting with shade everywhere and there are NO BUGS ! All their big rides are very outstanding and well-themed; their cave tour is very different from the Chinese ones and again, they have awesome food!!! During the first night at the park, I actually spent my whole night on Outlaw Run . Before the ERT session, I spend an hour waiting for the ride to explore the detailed theme on the queue area and it was one of the few lines that I enjoy waiting for because you can HEAR how awesome the coaster would be while reading those posters and lines on the wall, an hour pass quickly. My first ride was in the last row of the train. After the first ride, all I said was OMG IT WAS AWESOME! Started from the beautiful sound of the chain lift to the amazing ending of the ride, EVERY second of the ride was enjoyable and full of surprise ! The twist on the way down from the 153degrees turn had some nice ejector and all the elements on the ride that doesn’t look real have a lot of fun. To me, the ride is not an intense type like Maverick (Still need to try SkyRush and i305 in the future) but a ride full of surprise and enjoyment. I love intense but this one is definitely a winner . After the ride, I went to the souvenir shop…Marcel you know what I mean … ERT was a lot of fun and I got 4 rides in total (One train operation) but the four rides were much better than another woodie at Wisconsin which I nearly killed myself on . We walked through the empty park at 11:00pm which was another amazing experience especially when it’s Silver Dollar City! More pictures coming up soon! OMG we are here!!!!! Waiting to get into the park and we had a pack of great stuffs. And the Outlaw Run sign on it made the package with front of the line ass even better!!! Hi Eric! Just beautiful, beautiful and beautiful! Fantastic atomosphere! Plus the way down the mountain allow us to arrive at Outlaw Run faster! We are closer to Outlaw Run now! AM i DREAMING? NO! NOW GET INTO THE QUEUE AND RIDE ON! Tracks! Logo! Theming! More theming! 60 mins? Not too bad for an amazing ride!!!
  3. Yeah, the ride is 132 feet tall, there's not really anything small about it. Whatever the reason for the short trains it is not the size of the coaster. Much more likely the way it was designed or customer request. Mre cars means more $ for maintaining so I think it would be a reason. Plus the first drop might have some ejector on the back row if the train gets longer which I think it's really "not B&M" so B&M shortened the trsin to make it "B&M" Just guessing...
  4. Not if I'm alone, but I really enjoy doing it TPR tour.
  5. Lex Luthor hands down. I have mentioned a queue of 4 hours for a knock-off SLC but Lex Luthor seems longer because I'm dying for airtime at a park like SFMM They definitely need an airtime machine!
  6. Grest TR! I did not know about the SAW area, where was it?
  7. Please don't drop Silver Dollar City! It definitely worth a visit.
  8. I voted for YOLO coaster because Gatekeeper was rougher than Magic Spring's SLC when I rode it and it does nothing to me at all. Just a ride that LOOKS cool. Even though I haven't been on YOLOcoaster( sorry I Judged a coaster from the review and the video again) I still think it could be a better ride because it is so unique and it has ejector!
  9. This list is mixed because I have not been on too many coasters. 1. Outlaw Run 2. Maverick 3. Mega-Lite at Happy Valley Shanghai 4. Powder Keg 5. Cyclops 6. Viper at SSFGAm 7. Top Thrill Dragster 8. Poltergeist 9. Millennium Force 10. Mr. Freeze at SFOT
  10. This is how I felt when I heard SkyRush's cable lift was slowered... untitled.bmp
  11. Outlaw Run: Completely shocked me by how great it was. Every twists has some great airtime and it changed the way I design my coasters on Nolimits. Definitely agree with Doug, life changing experience. My NO.1 woodie definitely! Gatekeeper: It was a horrible experience for me that I kind of started to lower my expetation for the wingrider at Chimelong's Ocean Kingdom. Intamin still rules Cedar Point. Boomerang at SFSt.L: I did not find it any smoother than the SFFT one. The lift still hurts and the brake still beats you. Iron Rattler: Closed, but the backstage tour was fantastic! Hades360: Hell no! I have to be a better person to stay away from the underworld! the only enjoyable moment of the ride is the little hill back into the tunnel I think. All coasters I rode during the Texas Midwest trip this year were new to me.
  12. Same here, even before I rode Outlaw Run this summer, I could say RMC is my second favorite coaster manufacturer. Glad to see the update of the construction!
  13. There's really interesting book called "The Fortune Cookie Chronicles" about the evolution of "Chinese" food in America and around the world, and how it has influneced American culture. fortunecookiechronicles.com/ Or you can watch the TED talk about it: Thanks for all of the updates, I'm enjoying this trip report from your unique perspective! Thank you! I felt quite funny when I saw fortune cookie at San Fran's China Town on my own last year . Especially when the Chinese on the little piece of paper is mistaken.
  14. Does the price tag including buying land in Hong Kong? It could change from a well themed duelling Intamin Giga to a Vekoma.
  15. 156-foot-tall attraction? Isn't it around the height of most RMC woodies?
  16. SFOT, Wal-mart, Magic Springs and Road to SILVER DOLLAR CITY !!!!! Goodbye NTaG, SEE YOU LATER! This is finally the last photo of NTaG Goodbye SFOT, I'm going to have some more fun Doritos!!! Hope they would enter China soon. I love them so much! I AM TEXAS Everything is bigger in Texas, well, at least bigger than Chinese Wal-marts Again, Everything is bigger in Texas! The biggest football stadium in the world! I AM TEXAS, I'm a wuffle. Group photo! Arkansas welcoming center is a nice place to stop, the best place to officially announce getting another state credit for a lot of us. I'm on a coaster tour so... please tell me if it is not a proper pose for this seat. I know I got a terrible hair look... Beautiful Arkansas parking lot (because it's not full lol) Magic Springs here I come! My 5th woodie, and my first Gerstlauer manufactured train for another company( should have been the third:( Again, I'm not being negative!) First and the last SLC on the trip, and my first SLC-689. Actually I don't think it's too bad, much much smoother than those knock-off ones which beat you even in the lift hill(ok I'm just kidding) Head banging only happened in here from my experience. Am I the oly one in the world who took a detailed photo of an SLC? This is not a nerd shot is it? Group photo time!!! Hi James! This could be the best POV ever I think. The best time are always on kiddie coasters. I can imagine how shocked the little girl in the middle felt. Beautidul nature, how I wish I can ride a horse in here when I am old...too old to ride any coasters... A peaceful Subway before TPR attack. TPR is here! There were more than five people behind me. Almost there! Celebration City, RIP...RMC can do something to this ride and put it in China I think OMG Silver Dollar City! I'm finally here! Silver Dollar City TR coming up soon.
  17. Mysterious Island! That place is so hard to find and there is nothing around except for some dusty villeges. But I'm okay with that since SkyCar is such a great short ride.
  18. Apperently Chinese CP's Dive Machine was built by Vekoma because It's roughness...I'm glad that people knows Vekoma and somehow I agree that Dive Machine is as rough as SLCs and Boomerangs! But wrong is still wrong
  19. China We need a THEME park instead of a giant area of queue! But really, Guangzhou area need one more theme park, Chinese CP is not enough for a lrge population like that.
  20. Batman clones hands down. Particularly, Goliath at SFFT(Guess I'm not the only one to say so )
  21. ^ Haha, I really cannot imagine how weird it is to mix chicken and orange together Gotta try it out the next time! I am truely sorry that the next update has to be delayed again. School work in China you know...
  22. Texas heat really got us and we had an air conditioning break at Jonny Rockets. I still remember how great it was during my visit to SoCal last summer. But I just had a Texas size fries so… Not this time. Because we were in Texas and it was around 105 degrees, I felt like I need to be FREEZED! Mr. Freeze here we come! Then we went to Pandemonium for some dizziness. I like Gerstlauers but spinning coaster can destroy the rest of the day if I ride it more than twice (Happened at SFFT ) Judge Roy Scream was much better than I thought, classic ride with some nice floater . Love it! On our way to the last ride of the day-Titan, It was getting dark. The park looked much better in the sunset. But something happened and Titan was down … Now the park is seriously dead lol Going to WAL-MART would be my next step. Since I got out of the park at 7:58 and the shuttle would left at 8:00, I had the craziest run of my life! I was holding the souvenir bag and TPR bag, with a water bottle on my hand, I have to keep my hat from falling off…And I made it! Then I found plenty of space on the souvenir bag which can easily fit in my hat and the water bottle… Wal-mart was a lot of fun, especially when nearly all the merchandise were MUCH cheaper than China and plus, EVERYTHING IS BIGGER IN TEXAS! On the second day, we woke up pretty early and It was the time to leave Texas. I really like Texas and I felt people are quite friendly there! Not like how Texas is described in those movies at all! Plus, there were not that much tourists compare to California so I feel like Texas more like a peaceful place. At the welcoming center of Arkansas, I felt it seriously funny that there were a big line at the restroom for men. Magic Springs was a surprise for me, I did not think the park would be that big! Their coasters were pretty nice (Well, compare with Chuang Lord which is a 5 minutes walk from my home). I had my first Non-spinner Gerstlauer (I mean the train of Arkansas Twister), My first SLC-689 and my first Maurer coaster. I did not found SLC-689 too bad at all, it pulls some nice force on the back actually. But I heard Elissa said it was one of the worst SLCs… Maurer’s X-Car was fun, as long as you brace for the brake. About Big Bad John, the kid in front of us screamed as if he was about to die! “ Help! Help! Somebody stop! Please stop! Oh I would never do that again!” Highlights are always on the kiddie coasters, we made a big line for their nice named kiddie coaster and Imagining how great it could be with a double down, over banked turn and inversion. The only thing I do not felt satisfied about the park is the waiting time for food, seriously I can ride the kiddie coaster two more times! Next part coming up soon, SILVER DOLLAR CITY! Old feeling made this place awesome! Time for some amazing Premier intensity! NTaG touch, I love you NTaG! NTaG's second turnn looked fantastic! They are so close! This coaster looked fantastic! But I was wondering why did they paint it like Superman?: LEX LUTHOR? Only photo of me not being with NTaG that day I guess...Wait, I had another one with the Intamin! Whaaaaaaaaa? Oh, I might misunderstood it. WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS? We don't have this type of food back home... Those cute robots are all over the world now I guess.
