  1. Has it ever happened before? A giant new coaster spend one or two days and cycled 50 (or 30) times before it opened?
  2. Sounds like a very fun place! Thanks for the TR!
  3. Your description of Hades360 is perfect! I remember before the first train was sent out, everyone's face was like but when the train came back, everyone was like I like Zeus quite a lot and both of my rides were at the back row (wheel seat). It's roughness is not even as close to that of Hades360 and the layout is pretty nice.
  4. Actually this is very different. RMC train's lap bar is U shaped but LR's train is more like a T+U shape. I'm pretty sure that the trains WERE designed by the same team though. They're obviously going to be slightly different because Outlaw Run and Goliath run on a flat steel top while Lightning Run runs (heh) on a tubular rail. Different train hardware. Yes, I know they are designed by the same team. Just want to know why LR trains have U bars of that weird shape instead of simply a traditional T bar.
  5. Wanda now planned a Movie Theme Park in Wuhan (no coasters)
  6. ^&^^ Yes, I remember hearing some pretty loud anti rollback noise when Pandemoniums start to go up the lift but when the chain speeds up, the noise disappears.
  7. Godzilla... Wish it was taken place at Wisconsin Dells though seeing how three of them destroyed San Francisco. Definitely a stand out movie, much better than any recent movie in the same category. 7.5/10 (Not a fan of this type of movie though)
  8. Just 10 more!! 10 more!! 10 more!!! Who the hell gets a 1990 on SAT test? Seriously I should have been partying now!!! Just 10 more!! 10 more!! Most annoying thing ever happened to me!!!
  9. Thanks for the info! Is it the grey fin at the right side of the chain between the two sets of teeth?
  10. While we were there, Powder Keg was pretty reliable, at least i didn't know it broke down. But whenever it rains, SDC will shut down the ride because I've heard it's sensitive to rain. The crew worked very hard and they ran three trains very smoothly. Not sure how reliable the info was, but I had a conversation with a guy at Wild Adventures who said he used to work at SDC back when Powder Keg was first installed, and he said the reason it can't run in the rain is because the weird sloped transfer track from the station to the launch rides on steel wheels on train rails and they slip when they're wet. Seemed semi-plausible to me. Seems easy to fix. Add a rain shield or change the wheels! That launch and the twists in the rain will be really cool.
  11. I really hope the seats will have some soft pad. Even imagining sitting in plastic on a roller coaster is painful. Not to mention Thunderbolt seems like will give some pretty strong force. Is it the first coaster with a Stengel Dive that is not designed by Werner Stengel?

  13. Actually this is very different. RMC train's lap bar is U shaped but LR's train is more like a T+U shape. LR train lap bar photo from Google. 14. Recreation of Crystal Beach Cyclone! Just kidding. Since Alan and Joe are both in Ride Centerline, can we say that Chance steel coaster somehow IS RMC steel coaster? Anyway, when a park does a long count down before the announcement and takes it really seriously, the result is usually great. I just hope it is not a B&M wing coaster or a Volare.
  15. Can anyone explain how the anti-rollback system of Intamin coasters like SkyRush, i305, Mega-Lite model, GeForce work? Can't find any information about this online. Also, how does the Gerslauer spinners' silent lift work?
  16. Wait... So now steel support structure like Goliath's is becoming a trend? Or even more crazier... GCI started their steel coaster business?
  17. So glad to hear about how great LR is! Anyone know why they use the weird U shaped lap bar instead of T bar since they both connect with the car in the middle? Shin bars like those on Gerstlauer trains can work as well.
  18. The person who took the POV's said the Motorcoaster is truly terrible. Riders must wear helmets just like that looping Toboggan.
  19. First ever Chinese knock-off in US! Just to teach everyone how butter smooth Voyage, Legend and Raven are.
  20. Great video! Looking forward to ride it one day. Is the first magnetic trim removed because of the weather?
  21. Now we can pretty much say it is Alan Schilke's design.
  22. haven't been on El Toro but Maverick's first drop is a huge difference for the second last row and the last row.
  23. I just heard this today; FOTR is not a roller coaster because your feet don't touch the floor.
  24. Yay! Is Six Flags trying to procrastinate the opening of their two RMC's? Medusa didn't have as much weather issues as Goliath but still finished pretty late.
  25. Can't believe Community is gone! That's one of my favorite!! Now Modern Family really started to get back to it's Season 1 level of funny! Can't wait to see how Mitch and Cam's wedding will be like.
