  1. Dude, if there was a Wawa World, I'd be there every day.
  2. This is exciting for me, too. TWD isn't exactly a "Sopranos" or "Breaking Bad"-level show, but I find it very enjoyable, especially its recent seasons. I'm interested to see how they do this walk through.
  3. Only those who rode in 2012 know what it was like. Compare the speed at the top of the lift in Robb's video from 2012 to one from the park a year later. TPR 2012: [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] HP 2013: [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Moral of the story: if you come across someone who refers to the ride as "ThighCrush", punch them. Hard.
  4. Every time Skyrush slows down at the top of the lift hill I cry a little on the inside, mourning what once was.
  5. Love the red on the outside and black on the inside!
  6. Heat seeking missiles should be deployed any time someone tries to continue the "carnival ride" argument on this site. Either that or we should collectively pay a homeless man to piss in said person''s morning cereal.
  7. I disagree on the "wasted opportunity" argument. I like to stare off to the side as a coaster goes through a loop for added effect, so I personally can't wait to sit on the purple side of the track and stare off to the side at the lake while the car flips around. Great view + added distortion = fun for all (with iron stomachs)
  8. Points for honesty. Things are looking REALLY good. Can't wait to check it out in person!
  9. 2017: Alfundo's Revenge. Let sleeping clowns lie.
  10. Don't talk about his beloved Six Flags Mid America. He will get his panties in a bunch. It's now blatantly obvious how well you don't know me, which is good, because I certainly don't want to know you. Ever... which is probably similar to most people you come in contact with. I'm sure some of the SFSTL people might get a chuckle out of your comment. Do yourself a favor and don't scroll back through the majority of my posts in this thread, unless you really want to feel dumb about the comment you just made. I'll admit the Larson Loops aren't everyone's cup of tea, but they have great lighting packages. Great Adventure's has added a lot of wonderful color to its section of the park at night.
  11. Nyah. I don't know what it is, marathoning just never appealed to me. Maybe if I had the right company...??
  12. ^ I've never really been one to marathon roller coasters anyway. The most I'll do in a row is three or four on Nitro if there's no line, but even after that I'm usually done.
  13. Batman does that to me every time. That's why as much as I love the ride, I'll never ride more than twice in a row.
  14. This is a great point I forgot about. Riding Batman backwards this summer was one of the few times I've been seriously disoriented on a coaster. Just when I thought I knew the layout, they went and flipped it on me! Get it?! FLIPPED?!?! ...I'll see myself out.
  15. ^ 100% agree. There's a reason Batman clones rank so highly with me. They're some of the best coasters B&M ever produced.
  16. Wow those colors really pop. Looks awesome.
  17. #SkullMountainLivesMatter Save your comedic juice. It's just not funny #butthurt
  18. http://rcdb.com/35.htm That was built in the 90's? I thought for sure the natural volcanic rockwork predated some continents, and the coaster came soon after. Well... I stand corrected
  19. He's been doing it for at least a year and a half at this point. By now, any drop of comedic juice present within that joke (I'd argue there never was any to begin with) has long been wrung out. #savecomedyfromfaithplus1 I'm sure the ride will open around mid-May as all Six Flags additions have for the last ten years.
  20. I really enjoyed AT back in 2013. It was definitely maintained better than Roar at SFA. If Great Adventure is able to maintain a similar ride, I'd be on board.
  21. ^ + ^^ + ^^^ Just stop. Stop it. I'm begging you. On another note - coasters aren't everything. Great Adventure has done a great job of making this park more well-rounded for all types of park guests. I'd love a big coaster addition as much as the next guy, but I don't and will never get the people who put their own desires over what's best for the park. Spoiled coaster enthusiasts really need to stick a sock in it.
  22. I don't think I'm your type, but for me, this would definitely help. Thanks, but no thanks.
  23. A buzz bar is this kind of restraint, known for its "buzzing" sound when locking:
