  1. I visited the park today as well and have a few notes: -New Revolution: Rode it twice, hour wait first time and 30 minutes the second. Both times the VR worked perfectly, except for a glitch in the station that resulted in me asking for another VR headset which they gave me. It's an unpopular opinion, but I loved the VR. However, with the wait times it's causing, I hope it's a limited engagement. -Justice League: Like HWFan said, I saw an employee go up to Cyborg and put 3D glasses on him. Why are employees even allowed to touch him? My ride was one of the most glitchy I've had: no fire effect, no LexBot fog screen, no laughing gas at the end, and no Lex Luthor hologram. Still love the ride, especially the finale. -Fowl Ball: Walked through, didn't eat. Looks like cheap copy of JB's. I mean, I'm glad it's open, but I wish they would have brought back Calico's instead. -The Boss: Rougher than I recall. I still enjoy it, though.
  2. What does this even mean? The track length is identical except one of the park's has a longer station (I forget which). Not sure how it could be less immersive either? I mean they're almost exactly the same. Anyways... SFSTL's reliability seems to have gone up as I believe it's been upgraded. Hopefully SFGAm's is able to pump people through because your park is always packed. I can't imagine what the lines are gonna look like.
  3. My apologies as well, just trying to defend myself. I think it's a personal thing though. The two wooden coasters I like more, Outlaw Run and The Voyage, both have killer endings that are just as insane as any other part of the ride. Outlaw Run has it's double barrel roll and Voyage is just amazingly well designed in that it never lets up until you hit the final brakes.
  4. The RT crossover hill is before the twists. That hill has the most insane airtime I've ever experienced. I'm talking about the hills after the twists leading into the brakes, which I stated clearly in my post. They're fun but should've been designed to be stronger like the ones at the beginning of the ride. Maybe read a post before you respond to it. I clearly said "the drop to the twists" are insane. The three hills at the end leading into the brakes are not.
  5. -Banshee- It may be because I'm not a huge fan of inverts (mostly because I like rides where you can see things other than the back of the car in front of you), but Banshee was fun but not mind-blowing like some made it out to be. -Raptor- Just not a fan, mostly for same reasons as Banshee. -The Beast- Glorified mine train, no airtime, just plain boring. Hopefully a night ride one day will change my mind. -HellCat- Just rough as hell, far worse than Hades 360, which I actually enjoyed. And while I like it a lot (my #3 woodie): El Toro The first drop through the twists is possibly the best section of any coaster EVER. The best airtime I've ever experienced. The last three hills were extremely tame in comparison though. Nice floater, but in comparison to the beginning of the ride it's just a let down. Great ride overall, but with a better ending it could've been the best coaster in the world.
  6. I had the best ride I've ever had on Justice League on Saturday. All the effects worked and there were no technical difficulties. They have reprogrammed Joker's scene so you don't face away from him as much. I still am blown away by the ending simulation sequence. We waited about 45 minutes. The line wasn't moving any faster than it did last season. In other news: -Fireball was a 30 minute wait. It was a fun addition to the park, but nothing spectacular and definitely not a "must-ride". If it has less than a 15 minute wait I'd ride it again. -Ninja's station and area have New Revolution signs all over them, including the games booth. -Boomerang's train is missing still and its orange paint is already significantly fading and peeing (it used to be nice to look at, now it looks rust-colored). I wouldn't be upset if they just scrapped it. -Food had no lines but that was probably because it wasn't crowded at all. Why are dining pass snacks only usable until 7:30 though? -We wanted to ride Boss at night but as we were next to ride they started to fill the train with weights (at 9:30 at night though?). After it took them 15 minutes to load two cars we left, then saw they were done. We decided just to hop on Pandemonium and ride it til they kicked us off. -In Justice League's line, we had a brother and sister in front of us who both appeared to be 10 or younger. No parents whatsoever. They decided to spend the whole time in line punching and fighting and running into us and everybody else around them. We made sure not to end up in the same vehicle as them.
  7. How crowded would the park be on Sunday June 5? It says it's Grad Nite but would the park be bearable? There's also an ERT after the park closes and from what I've heard those are fairly empty, although maybe not since it would be Grad Nite as well? Thanks
  8. If you don't get the CoasterMania tickets you could go to HoliWood Nights instead. Both are great events.
  9. Just watched it launch and it looks just as fast as last year.
  10. If they're asking about a Dive coaster for 2020, and 2017's coaster will be a B&M, I'm assuming the 2017 addition will be a wing coaster. I enjoy both GateKeeper and Thunderbird, so a wing coaster would be a nice addition to SDC in my opinion.
  11. My thoughts on this: I think it's a great idea. Ninja has low(ish) ridership and great capacity. I'm guessing they won't have enough sets for the entire train, so maybe the VR will be in the middle rows only? As for the whole "coasters are supposed to let you look at your surroundings" thing, I don't get that. I mean, there are plenty of indoor coasters where not being able to see your surroundings actually adds to the experience. And this things optional, too. Also, as far as I know video games at home can't exert forces on you while you're playing. This is nothing like sitting at home with a headset on. And at the end of the day, the thing is options and it's not going to affect load times, especially on the Ninja. No need to complain.
  12. So I take it we're not getting these trains?
  13. ^That's pretty cool. Never seen one installed like that before.
  14. It's in a Boardwalk-themed area. One of few areas where a ride that looks like a carnival ride actually fits the theme. And people are still complaining that it looks bad. Not to mention, it's a Tilt a Whirl. There really is no way to make it not look like a carnival ride.
  15. I would be ecstatic if this is true. Yeah, of course the event will never compare to SDC's. And it doesn't really matter. People will still go (including moi). I'd love to be able to ride coasters almost all season long.
  16. The Revenant was decent. Leo's performance and the cinematography were the only things about the film that were excellent, though. The storyline was fine, but the film just felt like it could've been a half hour shorter. It had some exciting moments, but there was lots of time in between them. I zoned out a lot. I'd probably give it a solid B+. Leo deserves an Oscar and so does Emmanuel Lubezki. Alejandro González Iñárritu should get one as well. I don't see it winning Best Picture though. Honestly, The Martian was the best film of 2015 in my opinion, but there's no way it wins. Spotlight seems to be the front-runner. Oh well.
  17. The current entrance and exit aren't handicap accessible either.
  18. I got to Newsies on tour this past Thursday and it was absolutely fantastic. The songs and the choreography were excellent, and the sets were the coolest I've ever seen. The script was surprisingly funny (and had a surprising amount of innuendos for a Disney show). There were some sound issues during the first act, but they didn't detract from the show too much. All the performers were all on their A-game. I'm seeing If/Then in March. It wasn't really a must-see for us, but the Fox was offering $35 tickets for it to those who saw Wicked. I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised.
  19. ^That picture was taken in Sparkler's old location.
  20. ^What about Hamilton? I'm addicted to that soundtrack. Anyways, I finally saw Wicked last night. I enjoyed it. It had great singing and acting and the entire thing looked great, from the costumes to the set. However, it's not as great as it's made out to be. The only real showstopper was "Defying Gravity" and the plot was sort-of all over the place. On the bright side, the actress playing Elphaba was actually the standby, but she was absolutely on her A-game. I'm EXTREMELY excited to see Newsies next month, though.
  21. My top 5 films of the year (so far, as there are many I still need to see, such as Mad Max and Spotlight, among others) 1. The Martian 2. Inside Out 3. Tomorrowland 4. Star Wars: The Force Awakens 5. Kingsman: The Secret Service Worst movie- Paper Towns Biggest disappointment(s)- tie between Avengers: Age of Ultron, Pitch Perfect 2, and Paper Towns
  22. I enjoyed it, but something just felt "off" about the whole thing. Not gonna spoil it, but the ending was pretty terrible, too.
  23. Fireball will have themed trains it appears: Even though it's not the new addition we all wanted, at least Six Flags is putting in the effort to actually make it look nice.
  24. Absolutely love all the stories they're all sharing. My favorite is the woman from Russia whose family came to visit her in Orlando and the first thing they asked to do is see where the Skyplex was going to be built.
  25. It's not bad, but it looks like it was put together in 30 minutes.
