  1. Tell SFMM why they replaced Psyclone with Apocalypse. Don't have a good answer for you other than Psyclone was damaged in an earthquake and after that it was running off borrowed time.
  2. ^ Why replace a water ride with a water ride? It is possible but I think a dive machine would do better with the GP.
  3. I am going to guess Dive Machine. I don't know why but I just see that being more interesting to the park than another water ride.
  4. I think it was suggested by someone at some point but we all know that for the most part it is wrong.
  5. ^ Yah I have only known it as Dinosaur. What it was previously sounds awesome to me though. Is there a pov anywhere? (I know it's a dark ride but just for a general idea)
  6. Any kind of a coaster would be considered a major deal for the park, Sierra Sidewinder was heavily advertised when it opened. I mean major in terms of actual scope and scale of the project. Not on how the park advertises their new attraction. I understand what your saying though, although any new attraction at any theme park is heavily advertised.
  7. ^ It's not a big deal it's just not something to be considered major.
  8. ^ Silver Bullet is faster, longer, and taller than Batman and so the GP views it as the superior coaster to Batman so there is no way this baby is going anywhere soon. Sure in actuality which coaster is better overall is a lot closer of a battle than just stats, a battle Batman probably wins because of it's intensity and force, but to the GP Silver Bullet is bigger, so therefore better. Plus Silver Bullet is just a more fun ride overall that younger kid's can enjoy because of it not being super intense.
  9. ^ Oh don't worry Giga Coasters, Hyper Coasters, Drop Coasters, Euro Fighters, Mega-Lites, Maverick-like coaster's, and im sure more im forgetting have all been discussed so far.
  10. ^ Now I get it. Those people near USH need to toughen up.
  11. ^ Or they could get some of those nice, new Vekoma SLC trains that apparently work pretty well on reducing roughness.
  12. ^ That being said it is still fun but not worth anything more than a 20 minute wait.
  13. If there annoyed I can't even imagine the complaint's that Knott's gets from scary farm. The park is right next to houses on multiple sides.
  14. ^ He said big project. I can almost guarantee you that sidewinder cost under 10 Million dollars.
  15. ^^ Yah the ride is not as good as Indy by a long shot. Indy isn't scary by any means but it just seems more thrilling due to a fake sense of danger and adventure. I never really got that feeling on Dinosaur so it just ended up feeling like a boring, expensive dark ride that was meant for 5 year olds.
  16. ^ I totally agree with this. Most parks like to add something completely unique when there thinking of new attractions so I don't see a Mack water coaster coming although if it did I am going to guess the coaster section would be longer than San Diego's water coaster.
  17. The only thing that scares me about parks doing thinks like upcharge mazes is that the quality of the other "free" mazes will go down. I don't mind park's adding new upcharge mazes for the people who want more but please don't cause it to reduce quality in the other mazes.
  18. ^ Something tells me that MM would rather add another gimmicky coaster than repair an existing one. It is just how they roll.
  19. ^ I don't know but it makes sense in my mind that they wan't to finish haunt before worrying about anything else.
  20. Well if Knott's is planning on a 2013 opening for their possible new coaster they would have to announce it pretty soon I would think unless they are gonna pull one of those late openings that seem to work out pretty well for them.
  21. Does anyone know what the capacity of a Euro Fighter is ran at it's normal operational speed with your average ride ops?
  22. ^ The last few times I have been to MM Tatsu has been only using one side of it's station and 2 trains which has made the wait slower and longer than I am used to seeing. It basically takes the same time to load as a normal invert, but then you have to add around 20-30 seconds til dispatch because they have to close the leg guards and then put your train in the flying position.
  23. Whatever is going in PP's spot should have a good chance of having some water element too it. I think this because once PP is torn down or moved to another park all that will be left is a concrete pond that could easily be used for a splashdown of some sort, or a water coaster.
  24. ^ True but PP was a prototype. Prototype are kind of hit or miss on how they function. They can either be the start of a craze for that type of ride or make other parks think twice before purchasing one. Also what is the capacity of a Euro-Fighter? I just don't think it would be the right fit for a park that get's crowds like Knott's.
  25. ^ If we get that I am moving to another state cause I would be totally fed up with California parks.
