  1. ^ Yah I think what your saying makes pretty good sense. And truthfully, as long as those 10 coasters are good then I have nothing to complain about. There's certainly room for improvement.
  2. Yah I waited in what seemed like a short line for PP that took up only the switchbacks next to the station. The line lasted an hour and half way through the line one of the seats broke down and had to be closed off. The ride was awesome though but considering how many problems it has I will not be sad about its removal.
  3. Flip Leviathan and then look at Knott's on google earth. Leviathan flipped could easily fit into Knott's with the station and brake run in PP's area. Sure the brake run would probably have to be adjusted as well as some of the hills in the layout so that they could go on top of the parking lot near the hotel but you could see it fitting in.
  4. ^^ It would be awesome for Knott's to add something like Verbolten but Knott's already has 3 launch coasters so I doubt they would purchase a fourth.
  5. ^ Totally. And with other parks in California adding big attractions Knott's needs something also. Plus im sure there are ways to put in giant coasters without destroying park atmosphere.
  6. Well the only thing that really scares me is how SB turned out. Sure its a fun ride that is enjoyable, but look at what it did to the park. I really think that at some point the park should consider repainting SB with something less vibrant like some silver and gray colors so that it looks at least a bit better. I really don't want the boardwalk area and the roaring 20's area ruined because of some massive coaster that dosen't look like it belongs.
  7. I totally agree. I get annoyed by people who wouldn't want a 300 ft. giga coaster that is like Leviathan. Sure its not an airtime machine but it does have some airtime and plus its just great that Knott's gets a new coaster in general. Hopefully an announcement will take place soon.
  8. Yah I mean I guess for the coaster to get to the parking lot near the hotel and big foot rapids as well as the warehouses the coaster would have to have a tunnel going from somewhere near the KOD building, under pony and rapids, and then up and to the left away from the houses and towards Ghostrider and the rest of the parking lot. ^ I agree with you but it's fun to speculate and try and think about how things could work out. I mean it's fun to think that coaster designers have to do the same thing, but there dreams can become reality.
  9. Superman: Escape From Krypton. Waited about 3 hours to get on this ride. It broke down at least twice while I was in line and every time it opened up again a bunch of flash pass people would come and get let in before the rest of us. The line moved about 10 people every 20 minutes when it wasn't broken down. The only thing that made it ok is the AC.
  10. Well as long as they take this Giga out of the park for most of the ride at least damage to charm inside the park can be kept to a minimum.
  11. Yah those timberliner trains look like they have pretty comfy seats and lap bars which would be nice on a ride that could have some good air time if it were ran at it's full speed. (Darn you MCBR)
  12. Well considering that I think it is a widely shared opinion that Ghostrider's trains were part of the problem of making the coaster so rough it might be nice for an upgrade. Please correct me if I am wrong but this is what I have heard and read many times.
  13. ^ I would hope that Knott's would just get new trains as part of the rehab.
  14. I get varied opinions on if topper track makes a coaster wood or steel. Which is it?
  15. Yah I was just thinking about that. But man that break run would look so ugly in the park.
  16. Also if Knott's does get a B&M giga that is like Leviathan it will have layout changes is there is no way you could fit Leviathan into Knott's with the exact same layout.
  17. ^ Yah that looks like it would be a fun ride. I like how the loop was at the end. If SFMM builds the tallest loop have it be at the end to sort of give a finale for the ride.
  18. Ok thank you. Well we know the announcement will be soon cause that's what Knott's said but I hope it's within the next month cause I am so stoked for the possibilities.
  19. I know six flags announces everything on the same date but what does CF do? They already announced gatekeeper but does everything else get announced on the same date or what?
  20. I actually think a dive machine might be the best pick considering there are only two in the US right now and neither on the west coast. Sure the track is pretty wide as well as the cars but a good custom layout could make it work. You could also build a tunnel under the midway and then use boomerangs spot for more track. This way you wouldn't have the coaster crossing the midway which is probably more aesthetically pleasing than if it did cross the midway. Or you could have a drop into a tunnel and then take out riptide, put a turn around over there and then take it back to PP's spot leaving boomerang safe for the time being...
  21. Well Pony Express has to be the worst coaster ever added to Knotts's besides Windjammer so the land might actually be better served for a great ride instead of a mediocre one.
  22. Also I really don't think dive machines take a massive amount of land. If someone wants to post a satelite image of a dive machine so I can be proved wrong that's fine too.
  23. I like the idea of a dive coaster since you could fit one in pp's land area. Plus you could have a splashdown in the lake and leave pp's bridge so non riders can get soaked too. But I'm also still hoping for a giga.
