  1. They have to have some place to put the bodies of union bosses....
  2. ^ Nice! Your results look similar to mine, except that you have a bunch of Busch coasters in there. I was going to go to Tampa this year...but...you know....
  3. Oh awesome! What journal published your double blind study?
  4. ^ Ah, gotcha. It's great that people treat each other more considerately right now. I'm definitely enjoying that while it lasts, because 100% chance people go right back to being d*cks to each other as soon as this is over.
  5. Who's offended? A guy said a dumb thing. We all said the thing he said was dumb. That's about it.
  6. Yeah, too early to say what anyone will do; they themselves can't realistically know what their options are. At the very least, your season pass money is supporting them, and that's a good feeling. They'll return the favour when they can.
  7. Once that new Raptor Track coaster gets built at that water park, Wonder Woman and RailBlazer will no longer be ranked and the clones will get a singular entry. That will open up two more spots for top 25 coasters as well. I wonder how much of the separation in rank is due to the separation in geography? I've been on Wonder Woman but not Railblazer, and my rankings include a whole lot of Midwest coasters and very few in California. I would think lists that include Railblazer but not Wonder Woman would be heavy on California but light on Midwest, and so how they rank relative to the rest of a user's list could be quite different.
  8. July is what I keep hearing from scientists as the likeliest time for the return of normality. There are several possible treatments in the works and they all have about 4 months of testing left. So Playland is probably the first to come to terms with reality. I would imagine parks will make it up to all of us who pre-purchased our season tickets, and it will probably take several forms. Some year-round parks have already extended expiration dates, For seasonal parks it's different, but SDC sent me an email saying there would be bonus operating days and extra season passholder discounts. Playland will do what they can in this situation; it's as tough on them as it is on us.
  9. ^^ You haven't heard much because Oklahoma ignored it until they could no longer ignore it, and then they kept ignoring it for two more weeks for good measure. I think we all need to make peace with not being able to visit theme parks anywhere until after Memorial Day at the very earliest.
  10. Well, that's where people's minds are going to go. France has been hit pretty bad by the virus.
  11. The Guardian: Asterix creator Albert Uderzo dies at 92. https://www.theguardian.com/books/2020/mar/24/asterix-creator-albert-uderzo-dies-at-92
  12. We've never had a billionaire president.
  13. I've been attending Six Flags parks since I was 19 years old. I am very familiar with their extensive DC Comics theming, I would have hoped it extended to this new pub. Ok, dude.
  14. ^ That's really great. I wonder how applicable that is since SFoT is a year-round park whereas SFStL is still a seasonal park. However, we do have the membership so they could totally do the same thing if they wanted to.
  15. Same. Some parks are crushing when you hear of their closure. Indiana Beach comes to mind. But this one? Nah.
  16. ^ That's just the thing. It's really unclear who has jurisdiction over whom with this virus. We're really in uncharted waters here.
