  1. I actually loved the jarring lap bars on Magnum. Maybe I'm just turned on by pain....
  2. Yeah, I rode it during WCB and it was as smooth as a B&M floorless always is. I don't know where anyone is getting this idea that it's rough.
  3. Sweet! For $15 apiece, the least they could do is make hot dogs that taste good.
  4. Welcome to the Ozarks! You're coming down the last week of summer, as most area schools go back the next week (hence why SDC ceases daily operations at that time). The week is likely to be quite busy, but SDC has a kind of strange clientele. They're not all there for the rides. A lot of people just come for shows, food, and ambience, and never ride anything. So even if the pathways are crowded, the lines could still be short. Operations at SDC are among the best I've ever seen at any theme park. A lot of their employees are older and full-time and have been there for years. They depend a lot less on seasonal labour than a lot of parks do (though there still are a fair number of seasonal employees), so operations are more consistent. Ride Powder Keg first. Its low capacity and low height requirement means the line is always the longest of any coaster. Go to the water rides next if you want to ride them; both Lost River and American Plunge get lines over an hour in the summer, easily longer than the coaster lines. Beyond that, you can really do what you want. Even Outlaw Run's line doesn't go over a half hour usually on summer weekdays. With two days, you'll have plenty of time to do everything. And most importantly.... Take the cave tour. Eat cinnamon bread.
  5. Yes! Have you ever been square dancing?
  6. I think this is one of the ingredients.
  7. Yes, SDC three times so far. Have you been to a waterpark yet this year?
  8. Last weekend we watched Doctor Strange. When was the last time you saw a Disney movie?
  9. 8/10 None are my favourite park, but I've always had a good time there. The South Pacific Ocean
  10. Great report! Looks like you all had an awesome time.
  11. I could easily see them do a butterless conversion That would be great for the lactose intolerant guests. I don't know about flourless, though, as the gluten free fad is pretty much over. I would think a gluten free roller coaster would go over much better in Silicon Valley.
  12. Its been 11 years since I've been and I only live three hours away lol! Hopefully this year if I can afford it. One day tickets are usually about $30. You can drive there and back in a day, and unless you go on a Saturday in summer, no need for Fast Lane. Pack a cooler, go out to your car to eat, and you can do a WoF trip super cheap. That's what we used to do a few years ago when finances were tight and one day at WoF qualified as our summer vacation.
  13. "Qualified" and "contender" are not synonyms. When Terry Malloy said he could have been a contender, he isn't pining to meet the basic qualifications of a boxer. He means he had a good shot at winning, but Friendly's rigging the fight for financial gain ruined that chance. It's not a statement of regret, it's an accusation.
  14. Yes. I especially love that even if you play half a game, you still get a whole snow cone. Have you ever been to a stand-up comedy club?
  15. Today. It was a good day. When was the last time you drank coffee?
  16. Kona Pipeline Coffee Stout. I love a good dark beer, and this one does indeed contain the titular coffee taste.
  17. This is true of basically every Six Flags park that has a Batman clone. They're incredibly underrated rides. People tend to think less of it because it's been cloned quite a bit. But it's still a good ride and I'd be fine with it being cloned some more at parks lacking a B&M invert. Only enthusiasts think less of it because it's a clone. Really, only enthusiasts are even aware that it's a clone. Normal people know it's a kickass ride.
  18. It's okay if you don't love boysenberry. Boysenberry still loves you.
  19. Yeah your right. It is for reals cause last year six flags over Texas opened their new rides on memorial day weekend. In 2015, they opened justice league battle for metropolis close to memorial day weekend. They opened the Texas Sky screamer also opened either on memorial day weekend day weekend or close to it. I fixed that for you. jk. Lol If that's your idea of fixing something, remind me never to ask you to do electrical work. Anyway, great to have an opening day, and around Memorial Day as we all knew it would be. Looking forward to finally riding one of these free spins (at Great Adventure for me).
