  1. Someone's panties are in a bunch. Anyways, I think this may prove to be surprisingly forceful. Particularity those over-banked s-bends. And that sideways hill after the underground dive looks like it might have some hangtime.
  2. We need more of this on the forums!
  3. INB4 "But it's not OMFG ejector!"
  4. Friday, July 25, 2008 Kevin Richards, Valley Hills CFO Towering Inferno has been a staple attraction here at Valley Hills Amusement Park for the past 25 years. It has been one of the most valuable asset to the park since the rides debut in 1983. That was an era of confusion and bad financial status. The Park needed something to attract visitors from far and wide, and Towering Inferno was the ride that changed it all, and put Valley Hills on the map. The 135' attraction opened in 1983 as the tallest free-fall ride in the nation. Towering Inferno has thrilled over 8 million riders over the past 25 years at the park. The Intamin free-fall ride was constructed during the harsh 1982-1983 winter in approximately 3 months, for an estimated $3,000,000 USD. Come get some rides in on Towering Inferno during the 25 year celebration! Every 135th rider will win a FREE Towering Inferno T-shirt, while supplies last! -Kevin Richards
  5. Bennyland has your typical small-town lineup of attractions. A Ferris wheel, Dodgems, Paratrooper, etc. I think the ride selection is perfect for such a small park, as there is plenty to keep everyone happy. One thing I strongly suggest is to improve upon the food vendors. Only 1 place to eat, and it looks EXTREMELY small. Some bushes, fences, and path borders would really help.
  6. Shorter trains do allow for smaller radi. Thus less overall cost. Just saying.
  7. No more carousel? Well, good. Topaz doesn't need unreliable intamin-ish attractions. It is a shame that Twisted Beehive isn't that popular, especially considering how awesome it is. Oh well. At least Ocean seems popular. Again, I love the colors you chose for Skydive, it's such a photogenic attraction. P.S. Your janitors are lazy.
  8. It might be my eyes playing on me, but are there three transfer sections? If this thing can run 4 trains it will be a capacity monster. This would be great, as they have the option of adding or subtracting trains as needed. EDIT: I see that there will be three trains from the website. Still will be great for capacity. If there were 4 trains, two would always bee stacked. Unless they went for a dual station.
  9. This makes the initial brake run shorter, while also allowing for elements for the main layout. Unless, you wanted the Leviathan look.
  10. Curves are designed primarily around velocity. So, yeah... Millennium Force has a huge spread out over-banked turn, and I've never heard any complaints.
  11. When has B&M been known to give ejector air? Quit setting yourself up for disappointment.
  12. The HW announcement worked better on my iPhone as well.
  13. A new coaster is in development. But unlike the previous designs, this was created using the old school pencil & paper method. No complex computer software like no limits & newton. Just physics and calculus. I've spent hours upon hours of time calculating all the forces, velocity and angles. All done, and learnt by myself. Here is just one of the dozens of papers I've used for my calculations. This paper is all the calculations for a valley at the bottom of a hill. This is only a small preview of what's to come.
  14. Why do people expect ejector air from a B&M? That is an unfair judgement in my opinion.
  15. Sunday, July 13, 2008 Amanda Sands - regular guest Finally, Valley Hills offers an exclusive event for season passholders. And the best part is that its FREE. Everything started at 8:30 PM where the season passholders were to gather at the Valley Market where some Coasters After Dark T-s were on sale ($9.99). They also gave everyone a free meal ticket to the Blackwater Lodge. All of the coaster lines closed at 8:30 PM, allowing a few final rides for the general public before they became exclusive & reserved to us passholders. I wasted no time! Once the clock struck 9:00 PM, I immediately rushed over to Black Stallion. I enjoy Pulse more than Wicked Twister at Cedar Point, the holding brake section was awesome! I really wanted to try out Valley Scream, but I was too focused on coaster riding. Maybe next time. The popularity of Woodstock Express during the first Coasters After Dark has caused it to become a permanent addition this year. And I finally got my credit! I love what they did with Chaos in its new location (former Déjà Vu site). The new color scheme and lights look awesome at night. Cool! Luckily, I rode Chaos before I chowed down on about 6 hot-dogs and a large Pepsi™ at the new Cedar Tavern. All FREE to C.A.D. participants. The new Dippin' Dots stand seemed quite popular, even after the sun went down, it was decently priced. The Dippin' Dots guy was rambling about some Rattle Snake conversion nonsense. Time for the new hotness, White Lightning. There were a few moments of very strong positive G-forces. Moments before the splashdown... The barrel roll was my favorite inversion on White Lightning. Cardinal broke down as I entered the queue. At least I was able to get this photo of Kanawha Railway, which I refused to ride due to the 35 minute queue for Coasters After Dark. It may be the best nighttime coaster in the park, but I'd rather not wait so long. However, Rattle Snake was a walk on all night. Close up! A look down the Northern/White Lightning midway. At this point there was only 30 minutes left until closing. I ended up getting five rides in on IGNITION, all thanks to Valley Hills' two train operation for C.A.D. The helix still packs one hell of a punch, and an excellent way to finish my Coasters After Dark experience. -Amanda Sands
  16. ^Thank you. I wanted to try out some more real life things with the park.
  17. ^This evening. I just finished principal photography, and I'm writing the script right now. >.>
  18. Hmm. It seems another big ride is on the way. Although, with talk of next years addition starting so early, I do worry this thread will become more about teasers than the actual park.
  19. Could you actually update this thread, maybe with some pictures too. Instead of adding a sentence every few hours. Plz. Not to be rude, I'd just like to actually see the park. That's all.
  20. It isn't uncommon practice to release expansion packs later on, especially for computer games.
  21. Honey products? Well, that sounds very appetizing. I love the simplistic beauty of Topaz Park, it's one of the few parks I genuinely enjoy reading about.
  22. Very pretty park. I definitely got a dose of nostalgia from these pictures.
